The waves sang their morning song accompanied by the screch of gulls above out for their morning feed to feed the chicks which lay naked or slightly fluffy in their nests. The scent of the sea was strong here as always, salt and fish filling the nostrils tempting the sences to look out over it's expance.

Amongst the rocks a small, lightly built lioness sat, her back to a large rock and her paws held out before her. Sweet watery blue eyes looked down sadly at her largish paws. Siyasura was an adolecent now, her father had told her she was coming of age, yet she still could not speak or hunt or do any of the other things that her siblings did on a daily basis. It was then that Siyasura had made up her own past time, this hoby was rescuing anything small, injured or orphaned and raising it herself until it was ready to return to the sea.

It was unusual for her to find anything too large, but in this her own private little cove, where small pools of calm water shimmered gently in the mornings rays, swam many small creatures which she had 'rescued' from the sea. This inclueded amongst this entourage a four pronged starfish that should have been a five, a small fish that had clearly been bitten by somehting bigger and lived to tell the tale and several hermit crabs of varying shapes and sizes.

In her paws today though she nursed what seemed to be a little lion, though this was certainly not the case, upon closer inspection the creature was much less furry than a lion and had far too few legs. It was infact a sealion pup. She held the creature like a human mother would hold a child, cradeling it in her fore arms while the rock behind her supported her and kept her upright.

She was away in her own little world, playing with the creatures she had saved. The pup did not seem to mind her adoration, infact it seemed quite content to lay quiet in her paws, being fed tid bits which she had fetched from the mornings hunt which her family had provided. She loved her little creatures like an extended family.

The male had been traveling long and hard, ever since he split up with his family some time ago. He wanted to explore the lands by himself, take everything in and learn as much as he could. Ever since his family had left their homelands, Zarin had never known a home to go to. He was wary of traveling, and wanted a place to settle down, or at least rest his wary soul. He hasn't even realized that his mane had grown all the way out and that he had grown a bit in size. All this travel makes him forget about all the trivial things like that.

His turquoise eyes scanned the area, noticing the change in the scenery. Long gone was the sandy grass plains of the seregheti, and here were the soft hills of sparce grass with a unique scent. With each passing step, the golden male was getting closer and closer to the sea without even realizing it. It didn't take too much longer for the male to hear to lolling sound of the waves crashing against the shoreline. Curious as to what the sound was, his ears perked forward as a spring came into his step.

Just as he was coming towards a hill, did his feet sink into the sand. Surprised at the sudden softness of the ground, he jerked back in shock. When did the ground become sandy! Just as he was going to inspect the sandy ground did his turquoise eyes land on the sea ahead. His eyes widen in surprise at the sight of the ocean, it was so bright and clear, almost the color of his eyes. But never had he seen so much water before! Sure, his homelands had litte streams and a pond, but never to this size. He made his way down the sand dunes to the water, watching it roll in and out. He couldn't help but smile at the beauty of the waves crashing into the ground before him, the salty spray hitting his face and the gentle breeze playing with his mane.

He stood there for a little while, feeling very relaxed and letting all the weariness of traveling go. He closed his eyes to inhale the scent of the ocean before exhaling and opening his eyes. Now, time to go explore this place and see what he can discover about it. He was completely unaware that this place even held a pride here.

The little sealion in her paws was the first to react to the coming of a stranger. It wriggled and bumpped until Siyasura laid it down ont he ground and it flopped off in to the sea which licked between two large rocks at the edge of her cove. Upset that her fun had been ruined for some odd reason, the little lioness righted herself and padded along the short sandy stretch to a rock where she could look out on the beach that was her home. Her brow creased as she saw the golden orange lion pad accross the sands and her lips pursed in a confused manner. She didn't know this lion. Shrugging she clambered up on to the rock before sitting and watching the turquoice eyed male with great curiosity in her gaze.

It seemed to her that this new person had never seent he sea before. Well she thought that was very silly, the sea was home, but he seemed rather lost. Siyasura was a lioness of very few words and she could think of few to say to the lion in the distance except for "Hai." She tilted her head wondering if he would reply or if he was a figmant of her imagination. She had an amazing imagineation.

Once she had played with a pirate and another time she had chased a crab to the end of the earth. lions came and went through her world but didn't seem to stay for very long though she always recognised them if they came back to her strange imaginary shores. This one was unknown, still, maybe he had come to play even if he was imaginary.

A splash into the water caught Zarin's attention immediately. Something had gone into the water in a hurray, but that wasn't the only thing! There was a lioness not too far away. Was this just another one of those mirages or was she real? This lioness could of easily blended in with any rock because of her pelt color. But, would a mirage talk to him? As the female greeted him, the male made his way over to the other.

The sides of his mouth went up in a smile as he replied back to the female. "Hello!" With a tilt of his head, "Do you live here?" He wanted to know if she was just a wandering lioness like himself or if this was a home to her family.

Siyasura smiled as she jumpped down the rock and padded towards the larger male playfully her tail in the air and a smile upon her face. Of course his questions didn't go unheard but she was required to greet strangers before she answerd any questions. Upon reaching the young male she rubbed ehr cheek against his before answering his questions. "Yes, lives here. Siyasura an' family." She said her words very slowly, pronouncing every syllable carefully to make sure she didn't get any wrong.

She liked to make new friends, and htis one was a real lion he wasn't of her imagination. Perhaps he would like to play with her or see her 'hospital'. Sitting heavily on the sand she wagged her tail happily a grin on her face. "Was name?" she tilts her head that curious glint comeing to her watery blue eyes again.

As the female came and rubbed her cheek against his, Zari could feel the warmth of her body. She wasn't a figment of his imagination or the natures playing games on him. Though, he was slightly curious if this was a custom over here when you greet newcomers. It had been a long time since he had nuzzled up to his mother or played with his siblings, and it made him sad for a brief second since he missed them.

His ears perked forward as the female answered his question. He couldn't help but feel happy at her reply. So, there was a family of lions here afterall! His tail flicked slightly from side to side, "My name's Zarin. And you?" His turquoise eyes looked at her before looking at the scenery around him as he spoke in awe, "This place is beautiful! There must be lots of things to do here that are fun." This would definitely be one of his favorite places to see, most of the other places were all green and looked the same.

The soft grey lioness smiled as she listened to the male her simple mind untangling his words before she replied. "Siyasura..yes..fun" She looked quietly thoughtful her tail flickering. "New ..here you?" She tilted ehr head, she knew that lions appeared occasionally but this one was definately new and he was young as she was.

Her brow wrinkled slightly as she tried to make sence of the mumble of words which jostled with each other in her mind to form a coherent sentence. "Wanna come play?" she grinned, Siyasura was always a female of very few words as she had lways struggled with the simplest of entences but she knew that this particular phrase was understandable. Others had reacted correctly to it in the past after all.

He nodded his head, as Zarin took in her name. Though, her speech was a little off, it wasn't all that hard to figure out what she was saying. Afterall, this was a different place, and not everyone talked the same in the first place.

At her question, he perked up considerably before smiling. "That sounds great! I'd love to go and play with you!" His siblings were very boring and lazy, none of them really played with him so the chance to play with another was something he'd grab in a heart-beat.

Her lips turned in a grin when he aggreed to play with her and she whooped jumping up in the air happy as a clam. Waving her tail so the sand splooshed around her she grinned and looked thoughtful, what to play? She decided in a heart beat her deep watery blue eyes glistening. "Me follow Me follow." She chipped bouncing off down the beach with her tail in the air. She may have gotten the words around the wrong way but she wanted Zarin to follow her down the beach. She had just thought of the best game to play with her new comer friend!

Turquoise eyes danced happily as Zarin was excited! Finally, he'd get to play with someone after all that wandering and traveling he's done. Though Siyasura's words were backwards, in his excitment he didn't really take too much notice as her actions spoke more than her words.

He bound after her, following her to where she was taking him. Being the playful self that he is, he would playfully paw at her tail every now and then. The ocean was very pretty. He wondered where they were heading, but it had to be fun!

Being chased down the beach was alot of fun for the childishly minded Siyasura, her perfect blue eyes glancing back occasionally a smile turning her lips, and a giggle escaping on the breeze. Once she hit the waves though, was when the fun began. Her whole body went splooshing in to the salty waves, the water splattering around her as she turned and aimed a clearly well practiced splash at Zarin.

"Hehe splashsplash!" she grins bounding off through the shallows, waiting for a return volly, though she was already wet through from her cannon ball in to the waves, the whole idea of this game was to get less wet, but that really didn't come in to the equasion with Siyasura, she loved being wet!

Following after the gray female, Zarin saw them getting closer to the ocean. As the waves rolled in and out, he couldn't help but chuckle at her words. It was like being cubs all over again! And he loved it! As Siyasura splashed in the water, he started to get soaked. The water dripped off his face and mane. Shaking his mane, he grin playfully. "Oh! I'm going to get you, Siyasura!" He pounced into the water, sending some of it her way.

Siyasura giggled and side flopped in to the water creating a great wave of water which splooshed at Zarin. Her giggles rose high over the soft whisper of the waves upon the sand. Watery blue eyes smiled happily. She had clearly found herself a friend and that pleased her above all else. Her siblings were too busy to play games with her so it was up to her to find friends whom wanted to have fun. Zarin had joined that crowed and she was glad to have him. Not all lions liked to be soacked from head to toe by an over rambunctious youngster!

The wave of water came and hit Zarin. He blinked a few times, getting the water away from his eyes as he laughed. "Hey! I was supposed to get you!" This was a pleasant break from the monotone life he had going at the moment. The ocean was beautiful and he found a friend! While she talked funny, he had no problem understanding what she was saying.

As he pounced through the water, he chuckled a few times as he sent some water heading Siyasura's way.

"Squeee!" the silvery femme giggles darting off through the waves as he splashed her. She soon decided to stop her running though and sat with the waves licking up around her belly, her perfectly sweet blue eyes gazing happily at the male.

Grinning broadly the silvery femme let a yawn roll over her lips, sea air, excitement and new friends it was all the little femme needed. "wanna come? sleeps up thur" she points at the rocks embedded in the jungle at the top of the beach.
