» PR0L0GUE rebirth a tokyo mew mew fanfiction by sherbert kisses In 2003, Tokyo Mew Mew had taken the world by storm. They destroyed the Chimera Animas that were attacking Tokyo, sent the aliens back to their planet, killed Deep Blue, and saved the earth from total destruction. Momomiya Ichigo, the Iriomote Wild Cat, Aizawa Minto, the Ultramarine Lorikeet, Midorikawa Retasu, the Finless Porpoise, Fon Purin, the Golden Lion Tamarin, and Fujiwara Zakuro, the Grey Wolf. These girls had red data animal DNA in them, and when they transformed, they made up Tokyo Mew Mew. And it was all thanks to Shirogane Ryou and Akasaka Keiichiro, the geniouses behind the Mew Project. The Mews were everywhere, on TV, on manga, some have even seen them in person. These five girls also worked at Cafe Mew Mew, their secret headquarters and a real cafe. After the aliens went home, Cafe Mew Mew became very popular increasingly fast. Pretty soon, however, the girls' powers faded. Their marks disappeared, and their animal DNA was gone. They didn't need to fight the aliens anymore because they had moved on. The Mew Mews weren't needed anymore. Tokyo was running smoothly at this point.
In ten years time, 2013 to be exact, the previous Mews were living their now normal lives. 22-year-old Ichigo was married to Aoyama Masaya and became a stay-at-home housewife. 23-year-old Retasu became a famous author, known for her love novels. 21-year-old Purin was a senior at Tokyo University, and a part-time acrobat. 24-year-old Zakuro's modeling contract expired, so she became a junior police officer. Nobody knew what happened to Minto, for she had mysteriously disappeared a few years ago. But what became of Cafe Mew Mew, you ask? Well, shortly after its popularity increase, Cafe Mew Mew became infested with termites, and customers began getting food poisoning from the Cafe's delicacies. Soon, the place had to be closed down, and for a short while, the Mews were out of jobs, and so were Ryou and Keiichiro. In 2013, however, the Cafe reopened, but few people have known this. It just wasn't as popular as it used to be.
Meanwhile, scientists began to work on a new experiment. An experiment that would make the citizens of Tokyo "live longer and live better" by using a vapor. They used five human test subjects. But, things began to go horribly wrong. The experiment failed, and as a result, the vaper mutated the test subjects. No, I'm not talking about 'green skin, brain popping out of the head' or anything, don't get scared, little ones. They became paler, their hands more claw-esque. Their hair pigments faded, turning their hair white or gray. And their eyes became black, the irises blood red. They had completely changed. All five of them. The victims wanted to mutate Tokyo's citizens further, so that they could destroy it and make it theirs. So after killing the poor scientists, they tainted the experiment, and took it with them. Their plan was in progress, and a few citizens had already been tainted with the vapor, making them almost...Chimera Anima-like. Ryou and Keiichiro shortly heard about this, and got worried. The Mews' powers had gone, so they couldn't help Tokyo. What could they do?
Why, they could reactivate the girls' powers, of course. _______________________________
Shirogane Ryou walked towards the DNA injection machine that was in one of Cafe Mew Mew's secret rooms. The statue was dusty and had a few cobwebs on it. It also seemed as though the statue was beginning to rust a bit due to age. The 25-year-old male swatted away the webs and wiped off the dust. After wiping the mess on his black pants, Ryou walked towards Akasaka Keiichiro, who was working with a nearby master computer. There were five lit screens on the wall, showing the past Mew Mews' long lost pendants. The screens showed Zakuro's pendant hidden beneath criminal files, Purin's pendant inside of a bookbag, Retasu's pendant in one of the pockets of a pair of old jeans, Minto's pendant buried in her closet, and Ichigo's pendant under her bed.
Ryou's aquamarine blue eyes studied the screens, then glanced over at his partner. "Are you ready for the reactivation?" he asked him. The brunette man nodded his head. "Everything seems to be in order," said Keiichiro, typing on a few of the keys. "Good," Ryou simply said.
Soon, Keiichiro pressed a pale finger on a red button. Ryou looked over at the injection machine, which was starting to glow a brilliant red, blowing the leftover dust away. Ryou and Keiichiro squinted their eyes due to the flash, but after a few seconds, it ceased. Ryou closed his eyes and sighed. I hope that worked, he thought as he turned his head towards the screens. The images on the screens remained the same. No changes. Ryou stomped on the floor with his right foot. "Kuso!" he cursed under his breath. By the looks of things, it didn't work. The pendants didn't reactiva --
"Matte!" Keiichiro told the blonde man. "Look!" With that, Ryou quickly looked at the screens, hoping that now it worked. It appeared to be so. The marks on the pendants were beginning to glow. Pink, blue, green, yellow, and purple, depending on who the pendant belonged to. Ryou smiled and crossed his arms. "Perfect," he muttered triumphantly.
"Tokyo Mew Mew is back."
Translations "Kuso!" = "Damn!" or "s**t!" "Matte!" = "Wait!"

» CHAPTERONE rebirth a tokyo mew mew fanfiction by sherbert kisses A pair of chocolate brown optics looked over at the door, and then back at the clock. A female body slumped over on the seat and a sigh could be heard. Where is he? the female thought to herself as she continued to watch the 4:00 news on TV. Her husband was working, and he was supposed to be back fifteen minutes ago, but he hadn't arrived yet. She touched the bell hanging on her neck with a delicate hand. She played with it with her fingers, making the little bell ring. A few seconds later, she picked up the tuna sandwich that was on the table in front of her and began to eat it. Her craving for fish had come back yesterday. The woman was starting to get suspicious. Was it happening again? Could she be...? Nah, she thought as she dug her teeth into the sandwich. It can't be. My powers went away a long time ago. There's no way that they could've come back.
The woman's name was Momomiya Ichigo. Although ten years ago, her common alias was Mew Ichigo, for she was a Mew Mew back then. Yup, she was a part of the superheroine group Tokyo Mew Mew. Hell, she was even the leader of the group! But, her Mew Mew powers faded out shortly after she defeated the aliens, and since then, she had been living a normal life. She was a stay-at-home housewife who was married to a man whom she had a huge crush on when she was a Mew Mew. His name was Aoyama Masaya. He was a hard-working businessman. Ichigo loved him very much, and their ten-year relationship was still going strong. The former Iriomote was wearing a white dress with red flowers on it that went to her knees. A short-sleeved crop jacket that was the color of red was over the top half of her dress. She had worn red flats earlier today, but now she was barefoot. Her cherry red hair was cut short. Her ear tails went up to her chin and her bangs came down to her eyebrows, but the rest of her hair was very short. The cut would be boyish, if it weren't for the ear tails. Her brown eyes were brought out with black eyeliner and mascara, and her lips were a soft, pale pink.
Just as Ichigo was about to call Masaya's cell to see if he was okay, she heard the front door's doorknob click and turn. Ichigo turned her head to the door behind her, only to see it open. Masaya was on the other side of the door, with his usual smile. "Hey, Ichigo!" the chipper man called out to his wife. Ichigo walked over to him and kissed him lightly on the cheek. "Hey, Aoyama-kun!" she perked, happy that he was home. Masaya smiled before heading for the kitchen. "Ichigo, you can stop calling me that, we're not kids anymore," Masaya told her in a kind voice as he opened the refrigerator door. Ichigo laughed a bit nervously, a hand behind her head. "Gomen! It's just that to me you'll always be my Aoyama-kun!" said Ichigo cheerfully. Masaya giggled as he took out a glass and poured some milk into it. Ichigo walked towards the hallway of the couple's apartment room before telling her husband, "I'm going to take a bath. Be back in a minute!" She walked down the hallway to the bathroom, but she seemed completely oblivious to what was going on under her bed as she passed the bedroom...
Once she got into the bathroom, Ichigo stripped out of her clothes until she was completely nude and set her clothes by the door. After washing herself with the scrubber and filled bucket, she set up the wooden bathtub and slowly got into it. The hot water came up to about her shoulders. "Ah! This is nice!" Ichigo thought aloud. She used her bathtub for relaxation purposes, each use of the bath more relaxing than the last. Ichigo then closed her eyes and relaxed in the steaming water before walking out of the tub minutes later. She grabbed a pink towel and wrapped it around her torso so that her torso and pelvis were covered.
Suddenly, as she was looking in the nearby mirror, she felt a sort of...rush. Then, in the mirror, she saw a floating cat behind her. What the hell? Ichigo thought as she turned around. But no cat was there. Ichigo blinked, then rubbed her eyes. Just then, she saw the cat face-to-face again. "Kyaah!" she screamed as the cat seemed to jump into her chest. As a result of the impact, Ichigo couldn't help but fall onto the floor, bottom first. "Ouch..." she muttered as she rubbed her bottom. Ichigo then held her arms tightly. This experience was just like when she first became a Mew Mew! She remembered! Ten years ago, she saw a cat and it jumped into her body. She had even fallen asleep for three hours! But the experience now was slightly different than before. Oh no, Ichigo thought, panicking, Does that mean..I'm a Mew Mew again? Iie, iie, it can't be! I thought they were gone for good! With that thought, Ichigo spread her legs apart and looked at her inner left thigh, where her Mew mark once was. Before her very eyes, her pink Mew mark was forming right where the mark had previously been. Ichigo's eyes widened, and her body began to tremble. Then after a few seconds, it was there. Her Mew mark. This wasn't fake. This wasn't a dream. This was real. And Ichigo knew at this point that she was a Mew Mew again.
Oh God, the scared Ichigo thought.
Translations Aoyama-kun = This is just basically what Ichigo called Masaya in the anime, for those who haven't seen it. Gomen! = "Sorry!"

» CHAPTERTWO rebirth a tokyo mew mew fanfiction by sherbert kisses Quick tapping noises from a pair of black high heels were barely heard on the streets of Tokyo. Long, curly, dark green hair blew in the breeze as a certain female, Midorikawa Retasu was quickly walking along the busy sidewalk. The large glasses that were over her blue eyes seemed as though they were about to fall off the bridge of her nose, but she hastily put them back in place. The woman was wearing a black button-up long-sleeved shirt with light jeans that covered her long legs, and her green tresses fell down to below her bottom. She had a black bag over her shoulder, which contained some papers and folders. Retasu had become an author after she had graduated college, and began working on famous love novels. She was heading for a coffee shop to continue writing and possibly get some more inspiration. Retasu had a stressed and worried expression on her face. The truth was, she had recently found out she was a Mew Mew again. Ten years ago, Retasu was known as Mew Lettuce in the supergroup Tokyo Mew Mew. Once Tokyo was peaceful and rid of the aliens that had attacked, the Mew Mews' powers had disappeared, including Retasu's. But when she was getting dressed that morning, she had experienced something that she would never forget...
"No...too dressy...haven't worn that since I was a child...no, no..."
23-year-old Retasu was shuffling through her closet to find something to wear for that day. Finally, after a few minutes, she had finally found the shirt that she would wear for her casual trip to a coffee shop. She took it out by the hanger and held it against her chest, which had only been covered by her bra. "Perfect!" she whispered to herself. But something in that closet immediately caught her eye...something strange. Retasu swore that she saw a bright green light coming from somewhere. Once she shuffled through all of her clothes again, she discovered the source. The glow was coming from the pocket of one of her old jeans that she forgot to take out of the closet. Nani? she thought as she took it out of the small closet. She dug through the pocket to find...her old Mew Mew pendant. It was still golden, but there was a few specks of dust on it, but they were being blown away by the green glow coming from the small mark on it.
Wow...I haven't seen this since I was just a teenager! she thought as she stared at the long-lost pendant. But why is it glowing now? Retasu continued to look at the bright light, until she heard a sort of...squeak, coming from somewhere in the room. Retasu blinked and looked around the room, confused as to where that sound came from. What was that? she wondered until she looked in front of her. There, she spotted...a porpoise? "H-How did that get in there??" Retasu wondered aloud, beginning to get confused and scared. "W-Why is there a porpoise in my room?" The female took a small step back before the porpoise zoomed towards her and went into her chest.
"Ah!" Retasu gasped as the sea creature went inside her. She began to pant in fright as she put a pale hand on her chest. Retasu recognized this experience, though it was slightly different. The same thing happened to her ten years ago, when she first became Mew Lettuce. She saw that same porpoise, and it went inside of her fragile body. This is too scary! she thought, trying to calm herself down. But...maybe it wasn't real. Maybe I'm just going crazy! I might as well get dressed now... And after a few deep breaths, Retasu took her top and walked towards the mirror in her room. She slipped the unbuttoned top over her torso and began to button it. Looking up in the mirror, Retasu's eyes widened, and sweat began to roll down the sides of her face. There it was, in the middle of her chest, her previous Mew mark. "NANI?" she blurted out, absolutely terrified at this point. "That wasn't there before!" Retasu began panting heavily again as she quickly put her hand next to the new mark. She began to wonder, C-Could it really be...?
Retasu sighed as she recalled her frightening experience in her bedroom. She put her hand against her chest and continued to walk down the busy streets. She had her golden pendant in her bag, so that it wouldn't get lost if she put it in her pocket. A few minutes after walking, Retasu glanced over at the street signs. She was getting closet to the coffee shop, and at this point, she couldn't wait to just go in there, drink some coffee, and relax. But soon, she tripped over something, causing her to fall onto the concrete, her glasses falling off. "GAH!" she yelped as she grabbed her glasses as well as her bag. She looked over to see a man on the ground too, although he seemed pissed off. Retasu quickly stood up and bowed. "Gomen nasai! That was completely my fault!!" she hurridly apoligized to the male. The man stood up and brushed off his suit. "Just watch where you're going next time!" he snapped at her as he walked off in a huff. Retasu sighed and continued to walk. Now she really couldn't wait to get into that coffee shop.
Translations Nani? = "What?" Gomen nasai! = "I'm sorry!" or "My apoligies!"

» CHAPTERTHREE rebirth a tokyo mew mew fanfiction by sherbert kisses The fourth-year college student walked past other students, the sound of Mary-Janes clicking on the concrete could be heard. Fon Purin was at Tokyo University, heading over to her friend, Himiko. They were both going to head to class together. The 21-year-old female soon reached her friend and tapped her on the shoulder with her index finger. "Hey, Himiko-chan!" she cooed as Himiko turned her head towards her. "Oh, hey Purin!" Himiko replied as the two began to walk together. "Did you sleep well last night?" Purin rubbed the back of her head and sighed. "Sort of, na no da." she told her. She and Himiko were roommates and were both fourth-years attending Tokyo University, although Purin worked as an acrobat part-time on the weekends.
Her blonde hair was short, but her ear tails were flipped, covering some of her cheeks. She was wearing the uniform that Tokyo University required, a white button-up blouse with a navy blue blazer, matching pleated skirt that went to her knees, and a matching tie around her neck. Covering her legs were black socks and navy blue Mary-Janes. Her large brown eyes were brought out by just a smidge of gold eyeshadow and black mascara. "Yeah, what happened last night was pretty crazy, Purin," said Himiko. Purin simply nodded, then looked back down at her feet. The reason why she had a hard time sleeping was because she had found out that she became a Mew Mew again. When she was about eleven years old, Purin was a part of the then-famous Tokyo Mew Mew, and her alias was Mew Pudding. Since her powers and abilities faded away, Purin had been living a normal life. She had never expected her powers to come back, ever.
It was 11:30 PM, and the sky outside was a deep blue, almost black. Purin and Himiko were sitting on one of the beds in the dorm room, watching a movie that was playing on the small portable DVD player in front of them. It was Maiko Haaaan!!!, a comedy that came to Japan not too long ago. Himiko was only laughing a little at the funny parts, whereas Purin was rolling on the bed laughing. Everytime Purin laughed, Himiko would giggle as a result. A few minutes into the movie, Purin stood up. "I'm going to go get the popcorn, na no da!" she told her friend, whose eyes were nearly glued to the screen. "Okay," Himiko simply said. Purin in her baggy orange pajamas walked over to the mini-fridge on the other side of the room and took out a bag of popcorn. She tore open the package and poured the kernels into a large bowl.
As Purin put the emptied bag on the nearby dresser, something caught her eye. Something bright yellow. And it was coming from her bookbag, which had been only halfway zipped up. Purin looked over at Himiko, who was still watching Maiko Haaaan!!! and crept over to the bag. She reached inside and pulled out something strangely familiar. It was a golden pendant with a mark in the center, which was glowing a bright shade of yellow. Purin blinked. "Wow, na no da..." she whispered, cupping the pendant in her hands. She recognized this pendant. This was the pendant that she had when she was a Mew. She didn't know how it got lost in her bookbag, or why it was glowing now. She was confused, but at the same time amazed. "Everything okay over there?" Purin heard Himiko ask from the other side of the room. Purin quickly turned her head towards her friend. She covered the glow of the pendant with her hands and replied, "Hai hai, everything's fine, na no da!"
Just then, Purin saw something strange, a floating monkey, right in front of her. "GAH!" she yelped, pointing at the monkey. "Himiko-chan, do you see that, na no da?!" Himiko blinked. "See what?" she asked. Purin stepped back. Himiko-chan can't see it, na no da? she wondered as sweat began to dribble down the sides of her head. How can that be, na no da? The monkey slowly floated towards the female, until finally, it leaped inside of her trembling body. Purin screamed, backing up against the wall and sliding down it. "Purin!" Purin heard Himiko cry out. She looked up to see her friend running towards her and kneeling in front of her. "Are you okay, Purin? You don't look so good!" Himiko asked her in a concerned voice. Purin blinked. "Huh?" she said, looking at Himiko then put a hand on her sweaty forehead. "Oh, hai, na no da. Everything's fine, na no d --" Purin stopped. Her eyes widened as she felt a warmness almost tickling the hand that was on her forehead. What the...? she thought.
Purin ran over to the mirror on the dresser and pushed back her bangs. There, smackdab in the middle of her forehead, was a pink mark, the same one she had when she was Mew Pudding. Purin's body began to shake. She was getting a bit scared now. "N-Nani?" she muttered softly. This experience was getting too weird and...familiar. Just like ten years ago, when she first became a Mew Mew, a monkey jumped inside of her body, making her Mew Pudding. Purin blinked. Could I be a Mew Mew again, na no da? she nervously wondered. "Purin, I swear, something's wrong with you!" she heard her worried friend say from behind. Purin quickly turned around and slapped her hand over her newly-formed mark. "Oh, no no no no, everything's fine, na no da!" Purin quickly said, a nervous tone in her voice, "I just probably need some sleep is all, na no da!" Himiko blinked. "Y-Yeah, okay," she simply said with a confused look on her face. "You go ahead and get some sleep, Purin. I'll watch the rest of the movie and tell you what happens, okay?" She smiled. Purin did too, and brushed her bangs back over her forehead. Even though she was smiling, she was very scared, because deep down she knew, that she was a Mew Mew once more.
"Purin...Purin...Hey, PURIN!"
Purin blinked and looked over at Himiko, who was waving her hand in front of her face. "Are you sure you're okay?" Himiko asked her. "You might be coming down with something." Purin shook her head and smiled. "Don't worry, I'm fine, na no da!" she chirped at her as she continued to walk. Last night's experience itself made Purin a bit nervous, but now she was pretty excited about the whole Mew Mew thing. She couldn't wait to see what her Mew Mew costume looked like now, if she had a different weapon and attack, and so on. Purin giggled, but was soon interrupted by Himiko. "C'mon, baka! We're going to be late for class!" Himiko said to her playfully. Purin nodded and smiled, and followed her friend to the large building in front of them.
Translations Na no da = Purin said this at the end of almost every sentence in the anime. Hai = "Yes" Nani? = "What?" Baka = "Idiot"

» CHAPTERFOUR rebirth a tokyo mew mew fanfiction by sherbert kisses "Hey! You! FREEZE!"
The criminal just kept on running away, the policewoman following him every step of the way. Even if the man shot his gun at her, the woman somehow managed to dodge the bullets. "It's useless running away!" she yelled at him, running even faster, "Stop making it harder for yourself!" Finally, the criminal named Yamada ran into a nearby parking lot. He spotted a red-violet car and hid behind it. The officer followed him into the lot and took out her taser gun. She held it in front of her, her finger on the trigger. "Come out with your hands up, Yamada! You're under arrest!" she commanded. Yamada didn't budge. The woman sighed. "Alright," she muttered, running towards the side of the car and pointing her taser at Yamada. She then pressed her finger against the trigger, and a dart-like electrode shot out towards him. When the electrode hit Yamada's back, the man screamed in pain. He was being shocked by the taser, and when it stopped, he ceased and slumped over. The officer took out her handcuffs from her belt and cuffed the criminal's hands together. She helped him stand up and walked him to the police car that was parked outside, her hand tightly gripped on his arm.
Who was this policewoman, you ask? Her name was Fujiwara Zakuro, 25 years old. The name must sound familiar, for she used to be a famous teen model. But when her contract expired when she was 17, she signed up for the police force. Zakuro also used to be one of the heroines in Tokyo Mew Mew, and helped the Mews fight off Chimera Animas. But when their powers faded ten years ago, Zakuro began to feel bad that since the Mews weren't around anymore, the criminals of Tokyo would take advantage of that and commit more crimes. So when her modeling career ended, she gladly became a junior police officer, and was soon promoted to full-time police officer, so that she could still fight the bad-guys. Zakuro was dressed in her usual police attire, a blue button-up shirt, the collar folded and the short sleeves cuffed. She also wore a purple tie around her neck, and her golden badge was on her shirt. Covering her legs was a pair of blue pants, the calves being covered by steel lavender knee-length boots, with regular soles at the bottoms of the boots. Around her waist was a lavendar belt with pockets on them, containing her tools needed for catching criminals. On her head was a blue officer hat, purple fingerless gloves were on her hands, and her long, purple, mid-thigh-length hair was tied in a sleek low ponytail.
Once the two reached the police car, Zakuro opened the back door and pushed Yamada inside of the car, slamming the door behind him. She put the taser back in the holster of her belt and walked over to the other police officer, who was standing next to the driver side of the car. "Nice job, Zakuro-san," the male said to her. Zakuro simply nodded and said, "Arigato." "You know, Zakuro-san..." the officer told her, "You've been a bit aggressive today. You alright?" Zakuro looked at him, then looked away. "Yeah, I'm fine, Shiro-san," she said. But the truth was, Zakuro didn't know if she was really okay. She had been feeling upset and confused since she found out that she was a Mew Mew again.
The sun had just started to rise as Zakuro walked into the Tokyo Police Station, wearing her usual uniform. Almost immediately, another police officer came to her. "Zakuro-san," she said, "Yamada Taiyo has recently commited murder." Zakuro sighed and put a hand on her hip. "Again?" she sighed. Zakuro knew that a few months ago, Yamada Taiyo killed five people, and was eventually locked up. Now that he was out, apparently, he decided to kill someone else. "Hai!" the officer perked. "So, we need you to search for his file. We'll need it to catch him again." Zakuro nodded, and headed towards a file cabinet that contained criminal files. Zakuro opened one of the drawers, revealing tons of files. She shuffled through the yellow files, only to find a purple glow coming from inbetween two files.
"What the hell?" she whispered as she dug through more files to find the source of the light. Once she got there, she reached inside and pulled out a gold pendant with a familiar mark in the center that was glowing a bright purple. My pendant...? she thought. How did that get in there? She recalled having this pendant when she was Mew Zakuro ten years ago, but she must've lost it once her abilities faded. Suddenly, she heard a fierce growl from behind. Zakuro turned around and her eyes widened. A wolf was standing right in front of her, looking fierce. "Nani?" Zakuro blurted out, getting out a sleek, black gun. The wolf crept slowly towards the female, its eyes fixed with hers. Zakuro took a step back and pointed her gun at the wolf, fright hidden in her dark blue eyes. The wolf seemed unmused, and crept towards Zakuro even more, growling and snarling at her. Zakuro cringed and pressed on the trigger, shooting the wolf. But the bullet just went right through it, no blood, no death, nada. It stayed alive, as if it were some sort of ghost.
Zakuro's eyes widened. Almost immediately, she was getting what was going on here. The same thing happened when she was 15, when she became infused with the same wolf, making her Mew Zakuro. Zakuro continued stepping back and shooting the ghost-like wolf, the wolf still heading for her and remaining untouched. Zakuro was getting a bit scared, so she turned around to run away, but the wolf leaped for her and went inside of her via back. Zakuro, as a result of the impact, fell on her front side. She soon got up on her hands and knees and looked at the ground, panting and trembling. Did...did that really just happen? she thought, sweat dripping down her face. Zakuro turned over and pulled up her shirt just a bit. She looked at her navel to see if any mark was there. It was. The previous pink Mew mark that had disappeared long ago was there again. Zakuro gasped, and stood up. This can't be happening! she thought, putting a hand against her chest, feeling her fast heartbeat through her shirt. And now she knew...Mew Zakuro was back.
Zakuro slowly got into the police car along with Shiro and drove off. As they drove off, she noticed that in the back seat, Yamada was wiggling around, trying to set himself free. Zakuro looked behind her, the wires seperating her from the back seat. She gave him her worst look, and Yamada stopped wiggling. Zakuro looked back forward and sighed. She dug into one of the pockets of her belt and fished out her pendant. She took a long look at it, but at the same time, hid it from Shiro. She pressed it against her chest before putting it back into the pocket, an upset look on her face. Shiro looked over when the car came to a stoplight. "Something wrong, Zakuro-san?" he asked his comrade. Zakuro shook her head and looked down at her lap. "I already told you, Shiro-san, I'm fine. Don't worry about me," she told him. Shiro, concerned, nodded and turned his head forward, driving off towards the Tokyo Police Station.
Translations Arigato = Obviously "Thank you." Hai! = "Yes!" Nani? = Again, "What?"

» CHAPTERFIVE rebirth a tokyo mew mew fanfiction by sherbert kisses Shokora walked into the dark room of the abandoned warehouse. Baniira, Chou, Mashimaro, and Chiizu glanced over at her direction when she entered. "I've just found out that Tokyo Mew Mew's powers have been reactivated," Shokora told the foursome in her usual monotone voice. Chou sighed. "Kuso," he muttered under his breath. These five people were the test subjects that had taken the vapor that altered them and tainted it, planning to turn everyone in Tokyo into Chimera Anima-like monsters with the vapor. They were all pale, had gray or white hair, claw-esque hands, and black eyes paired with red irises. Shokora was the second oldest, and she was rather anti-social, but smart. Baniira, on the other hand, was the second youngest, and seemed to have anger management problems. Chou was the middle child, so to speak, and was also very tempermental, but not like Baniira. Mashimaro was the youngest, and he was cute, but quite deadly. And Chiizu was the oldest of the group, and the most intelligent. They had just found out that the Mews' powers and abilities had come back, and they knew that Tokyo Mew Mew would foil their plans.
"How many?" Chiizu asked the female. "Four, Chiizu-san," replied Shokora, "The fifth one has yet to be discovered." Mashimaro smiled and looked up at Chiizu. "Well, I guess that's not so bad, right?" he said, "I mean, there's five of us and only four of them! We can still take over Tokyo!" Chiizu nodded slightly, keeping his serious expression. "That is true," he simply said. "Demo, they're still very powerful. It will be quite hard to beat them." Chou crossed his arms. "I say," he suggested, "that someone goes out and delivers some of the vapor to a large group of people. The Mews may be powerful, but as far as I'm concerned, they can't defeat our 'servants' so easily." Almost immediately he looked over at Baniira, who was twirling her snow white hair with her finger.
Baniira looked back at Chou. "What are you gawking at?" she asked, still twirling her hair around. "You should be the one to go," Chou replied, pointing his index finger at her. Baniira stood up, a stunned and upset look on her face. "NANI?" she yelled. "Why me??" Chou crossed his arms again and looked away. "Well, if you get killed out there, it won't affect us greatly," he retorted. Baniira's eyes narrowed as she stormed up to Chou, obviously very angry. "HEY! Why don't you try saying that to my face!" she shouted at him. "Why would I want to? Your face is hideous!" Chou shot back, just as angry as Baniira. "Yours looks like something a cat threw up!" "You're one to talk, aho!" Baniira turned to the other three, who all had large sweatdrops rolling down the sides of their heads. "I say Cat-Face goes," she told them, pointing daintily at Chou. "CAT-FACE?!" Chou screamed at Baniira, a large vain popping up at the side of his head.
"HEY! SHUT UP!" Shokora shouted at them sternly, Baniira and Chou looking over as a result. "Arigato, Shokora-san," Chiizu sighed, putting a hand over his pale face. "Baniira, grab the vapor bombs and go infect a large group of people. NOW." Chou crossed his arms and smirked at Baniira. "Kuso!" Baniira whispered, stomping over to the steel door of the warehouse. Before walking out the door, she grabbed three small, ball-shaped bombs filled with a dark green vapor on a nearby table. She put them under her sleeve and walked out. Obviously, Chou was still upset about Baniira. "Cat-Face? That little b***h is gonna pay..." he muttered. Shokora, Mashimaro, and Chiizu stood behind him. Shokora glanced over at Chiizu. "Should I go get his heating pad again?" she asked him. Chiizu sighed. "Please!" he pleaded.
Translations Kuso = "Damn" or "s**t" Demo = "But" Nani? = "What?" Aho = "Retard" In Tokyo, it's ruder than "baka", which means "idiot."

» CHAPTERSIX rebirth a tokyo mew mew fanfiction by sherbert kisses Ichigo frantically put on her panties, bra, and pink bathrobe and ran towards her room. Once she got inside, she quickly shuffled through items and clothing. If my powers really are back, Ichigo had realized earlier, then that means my pendant is here somewhere! I just have to look for it! And that was just what Ichigo was doing now. She was searching high and low in her bedroom for her Mew pendant that she lost long ago. She pulled out her dresser drawers and took out all of her neatly folded clothing. No luck. She shuffled through her bookshelf and pushed some books out of the way. Nope. She flipped over pillows and bedsheets. Nada. She even flipped over her matress. Zip. Ichigo loudly sighed. "Where the hell is it??" she cried out. She was getting upset now. This sucks! she thought impatiently.
Suddenly, she heard a sort of banging against her window. Nani...? she thought. She glanced over at the window, which was being repeatedly hit by something. "God, if it's those kids throwing rocks again.." she muttered. But she stopped when she realized that the supposed rocks were...pink? They didn't really look like rocks, either. Ichigo walked over to the window and opened it, only to be hit in the head by something fuzzy. She landed on her back, the anonymous object still on her face. "Urk..." she mumbled as she sat up, holding her head with her hand. She looked down at her lap to find a familiar pink, fuzzy creature. It had large round eyes, red ears, small wings, and a little tail. It looked a bit dizzy. Ichigo blinked. She remembered what this thing was! "M...Ma...Masha?!" she blurted out as she picked the little robot up. Ichigo smiled. "I can't believe it's really you!" she chirped as she held Masha close to her chest. She knew that Masha had been hitting its body against the window numerous times to get Ichigo to let it in. She hadn't seen it in ten years! This was great!
Ryou glanced over at Keiichiro, then at Masha. Masha had been deactivated once Tokyo Mew Mew's ablities had gone. There were small specks of dusk on the little guy's pink fur, and its eyes were black due to it being shut off. Some wires had been plugged into it for the reactivation. "You ready?" Ryou asked Keiichiro, who was working on the computers. Keiichiro nodded, the light from the screens hitting his pale face. "Hai," he said. After typing on a few keys, Keiichiro pressed a small button. Ryou looked back at Masha. A few small electric bolts began to circle around the wires connected to Masha. Soon, the bolts reached Masha, delivering a light shock to the robot. Eventually, its black eyes flickered to a lit-up white. Ryou smiled and walked over to the newly-awakened Masha. Giving its head a quick pat, Ryou said, "Good to have you back, Masha. Now, I need you to go to Ichigo's apartment and find her. Tell her about her powers and where her pendant is. Okay?" Masha's tiny wings began to flutter. "Hai hai hai!" the robot chirped excitedly.
Masha began to hover above Ichigo's head. "Ichigo! Ichigo!" the small robot tweeted. Ichigo stood up. "What is it?" Ichigo asked it. Masha began to flutter towards Ichigo's messed-up bed, Ichigo following. "Pendant! Pendant!" said Masha, still hovering above the ground. Ichigo got on her knees once she reached her bed. "My pendant?" she asked as she lowered her body towards the opening between her bed and the floor. "Pendant! Pendant! Pendant!" Masha continued to chirp as Ichigo searched under her bed. Under Ichigo's bed was multiple dustbunnies and lost items. Ichigo's brown eyes scanned the area until a pink light caught her eye. She glanced over to find the source of the light. It was her dusty pendant, and the pink light was erupting from the small mark on it.
"Yes!" Ichigo whispered excitedly as she grabbed the pendant and pulled it out from under the bed. She sat up and wiped off the dust with her hand. The mark on the pendant soon stopped glowing. Ichigo then stood up and put the golden pendant in her red leather purse. She looked over at Masha and smiled. "Thanks, Masha!" she thanked the robot, which was fluttering in the air with frantic excitement. Suddenly, the door opened to reveal Masaya with a worried look on his face. Immediately, Masha popped himself into the tiny form of a cell phone charm. Ichigo frantically looked over at the newly-transformed Masha, then back at her husband. "Ichigo! What the hell happened in here?!" she heard Masaya ask sternly. Ichigo rubbed the back of her head and nervously laughed as a large sweatdrop appeared on the side of her head. "I-I can explain, Aoyama-kun!" she told him with a nervous tone.
