((Have fun!))
Lisa Cuddy sat in her office, fidigiting with the neck line of her shirt. She tried pulling it up so that it sat nearer her collar-bone, but with a every new tug, the neck line sank lower.
"Why do I let House get to me like this," She thought outloud, still trying to see if she could get the neck line a little higher. Finally exasperated and annoyed that House could have this effect on her she stood up and made her way to the door. But as she came closer to the door, she looked through the glass pane and noticed the mass if people swelling inside the hospital lobby. Upon seeing this she was not quite so sure that she wanted to face them all just yet. Backing away from the door, she turned around and was blinded for a moment by a large stream of sunlight coming from the window behind her desk. She moved quickily to the window, to pull the blinds down, when she looked down to the car park and saw a car pull up that she knew very well. Instantly forgetting about the shades she went back to the door, threw on her lab coat and faced the chaos of the lobby, hoping to catch the owner of the car before he escaped.

Emma sighed as she sat in her mother's hospital room. She was dieing of cancer. She sat in a chair in her mother's room watching her sleep right now. The 13 year old understood what was going on even thought no one would tell her the truth. Her pretty bright blue eyes looked around the room as she sat there. She had blondish-brownish hair it was a mix really and natural. She had on blue jeans, black nike shoxs, a red t-shirt, and her black softball windbreaker. It was cold in the room, or just cold to her.

After standing in the lobby for 10 minutes, Lisa realized that somehow House had evaded her once more. Shaking her head, she figured she that she wouldn't bother to look for him, it would probably take to much time, he was so good at hiding these days. She approached the front desk and let out an frustrated sigh at the stack of folders lying on the desk. She hated it when people neglected their duties, deciding she would have to pick up the work untill House accidentily exposed himself. She put her hand on the desk to support herself and then picked up the first folder from the pile.
"A woman dying of cancer....that's already been diagnosed why is it in the......" she stopped when she read the name of the patient, it looked oddly familiar. Lisa hated it when she couldn't remeber something, especially when it was as trivial as remebering a name. Curiosity sparked off she took note of the room number and made her way to where the dying woman lay.
She slowed her pace down as she came to the room, and felt a twang of guilt when she saw the young girl sitting their beside her mother. She had been so focused on her own curiosity that she had forgotten the patient was dying. She slid open the glass door, quite slowly and introduced herself to the patient and the girl.
"Hello my name is Dr. Cuddy, I am the Dean of Medicine and I come here to give you both my deepest condolences."

Emma turned and looked at Dr.Cuddy, her eyes matched House's perfectly. She just nodded, she could not talk for she was scared she would burst into tears. She hid her emtions most of the time from everyone. Her mother was stilll asleep and did not even stir when Dr.Cuddy came in.

When Emma turned around Lisa had to stand back a bit, those eyes. Lisa shook her head, she knew those eyes so well, but it wasn't possible. Pushing the thoughts from her head, she approached the girl and laid a hand on her shoulder. Lisa wasn't quite sure what to say, Wilson was more in his element here than she was, but she hoped that her hand was giving Emma the comfort that she so desperatly needed.
"Emma....." she started by looking at the patient folder, "Your mother is dying, the cancer that we originally found in her lungs has spread throughout her entire body....I am so sorry." Lisa waited for a moment while Emma took in the horrible news. Then as Emma looked back at her, Lisa continued, "Emma...don't..."but she didn't finish becasue she looked up from the floor and noticied that the mother seemed to be waking up. Moving away from Emma, she helped the woman prop herself so that she faced Emma.
"Emma...your mother's awake, would you like me to leave?"

Emma shrugged she really did not care if she stayed or went. She looked at her mother, her mother had green eyes and brown hair. Emma sighed as she went closer to her mother. Her mother smiled weakly and slowly moved the strand of hair in Emma's eyes away. Emma smiled slightly she was strong infront of her mother for some reason. "Emma, I know this hard for you but I am dieing" her mother said. "I know" she replied her voiced seemed calm but yet something in it told you she was fighting back her emotions that she felt. Her mother was struggling to say something but what was it. It was like it was hard to say. "Emma get me a pen please" she asked. Emma got the pen off the table and then gave it to her. "Let me see your hand" she said weakly. Emma nodded and did some. Her mother then weakly wrote something on Emma's hand. She then gave the pen back to Emma. She then slowly drifted back into the darkness of her sleep for the time being. Emma looked at the plam of her hand. The words were wobbly but she could read them. They said 'Father=G.House'. Emma sat back in the chair trying to understand all of this.

Lisa felt slightly low and dirty, staying in the room when a moment like this was so important. She decided, of for her own morals, that she was going to leave the room. She slid open the glass door, just before going she looked behind her and noticed that the mother was writing something on Emma's hand. Curious at what it was, Lisa leaned in a little to get a better view, but as if suddenly realizing what she was doing pulled herself together and left the room before she saw what was written on Emma's hand. Once she closed the glass door behind her, she shook her head in disgust of herself.
"How could I be so unfeeling and prying as to want to see a dying mother's could be last words to her daughter...I must be spending too much time around House." After an uncomfortable moment or two of deep thought, she walked back down the corridor towards the front desk to grab another folder from the clinic to occupy her mind.

Emma studied the words on her hand. She did not understand this who was the name that her mother wrote on her hand. This was too much to handle right now. She left the room, and headed to the stairs. She went all the way up until she found the door to the roof. It was unlocked she walked out on the room. The fresh air was what she needed right now to sort things out. She sat down and began to think about what was going on.
