Well, this was just great! The young cub had apparently wandered off from her parents and now she was totally and completely lost. She didn't recognize anything around her and had no idea how to get home again. In a way, though, this didn't bother her too much. She was just old enough to eat solid foods and had, by some incredible stroke of luck, managed to catch a mouse to eat just a little while ago.
It wasn't likely she would be able to continue to do so, though, and sooner or later, she would need to find someone to stay with. But not yet! Being alone was somehow fun ... it meant there were no adults telling her not to do this and that, and she was having a great time chasing various flying insects around, at times tumbling over her own paws.

Zuri wandered around through the Pridelands aimlessly. She was rather happy, everything in her life seemed to be putting itself together, although there was still one important element missing: her mother. She had not seen her mother since she was just a cub, which seemed to be forever ago to Zuri. Since then she had gone on an adventure of her own, searching to find her family. An adventure which ultimately led Zuri to the Pridelands, the very place where she happened to find her brother, Nuku. Her quest was coming to its resolution slowly, she had found her brother, though not yet her mother.
She watched quietly as a young purple cub played with flying insects in the grass. Smiling, she approached the girl, remembering how she used to play in the same way.
"Are you out here on your own?" Zuri asked sweetly, making sure that the girl is not as lost as she once was.

With a little startled squeaking noise, Chiamaka fell backward, paws in the air - surprised by the sudden appearance of the older female. Blinking, she rolled over just a bit awkwardly and bounced back up to her feet. "Hi!" she said brightly, then glanced around, as if checking to see if anyone else was around.
Nope, they were all alone. "Well," she said, looking as she was thinking about the question. "I was. But you're here too, now. So I'm not anymore."

Zuri gave a faint smile to the girl. She sure was an adorable little cub. But Zuri couldn't help but be concerned that she was out on her own.
"Are you lost?" she asked as sweetly and calmly as she could. She was really nervous, way more nervous than she should be for talking to a cub. She was afraid she would witness a cub in the same situation she once was in. Shge needed to know the answer to her own questions. "Where's your family?"

Chiamaka screwed up her face for a moment, appearing to be thinking about that question. "Uhmm ... they're back that way, somewhere.." she said, kind of vaguely flicking tail behind her. Obviously, she really had no idea. She didn't mind being lost, though, because now she seemed to have found a new friend.
"What's your name? I'm Chiamaka," she said, smiling up at the other lioness.

"Uh...alright," she said, accepting what the cub had told her. She was uncertain whether she believed the cub knew where her family was, but she decided to not let the negativity plague her mind and let it pass. The cub didn't seem to care too much whether or not she was lost anyways, so Zuri tried her best to not let it bother her either.
"Well then, hello Chiamaka. My name's Zuri," she said with a faint smile. "Are you just out here playing? Do you come from this area?"

"Hi Zuri!" Chiamaka chirped happily, bouncing over to bump her head against the older lioness's leg. She sat down then and grinned up at her, tail swishing around behind her.
"Yup, I'm playing! Uhmm ... and I'm sorta from around here. Kinda," she said, tilting head a little to one side, ears flicking back, then forward again.

"Well, I suppose I'm only kind of from this area as well," the grey lioness started. "I'm more just wandering, staying in these lands in the meantime. My brother is staying here as well."
Zuri looked around, unsure as to what else to say to the young cub.
"What game are you playing?" she asked, hoping to be able to start some conversation.

Another part of what Zuri had said caught Chiamaka's interest though. Ears perking up, she tilted head and said, "You have a brother? I don't have any brothers or sisters ... not that I've met anyway! Maybe there are some out there though ... do you think there are?"

Zuri laughed a bit lightly. The young cub's behavior was too adorable for her to resist the happiness it brought her. "Well, I think that if you had brothers or sisters you would know," said Zuri. She supposed that there were chances she could be a seperated sibling, but she didn't want to frighten the gril with all the possibilities out there. She'd rather allow the cub to enjoy her time.

"Really?" Chiamaka asked, eyes brightening a bit and head tilting to one side. "How would I know if I hadn't met them before?" It didn't really occur to her that she should know anyway - somehow...

"Well, I'm not sure. I'd guess that you would have met any brothers or sisters that you ever had," said Zuri. "Or, at least met them in some point in your life. Would anyone have told you that you had brothers or sisters?"
This young cub went from being cute to being quite strange. Wouldn't she know if she had a brother or sister?

"I dunno," she replied at that, head tilting a little. "I guess so. I probably don't have any then, cause I don't remember them~" she said, smiling. No one had told her that she had any either, so that was out.
"Hey! I just met you now ... why don't you be my sister?" she asked suddenly.

Zuri burst out laughing in the girl's face. What? Did she seriously just ask her that? Zuri wasn't sure whether to keep laughing or feel sorry for the girl...laughter felt so good! But it probably wasn't the kindest way to react. But nonetheless...what a weird question to ask a stranger!
"I'm sorry, but I'll have to say no to your offer," said Zuri, resisting to laugh any more than she already had. "I don't think it works that way."

"Awww," Chiamaka kind of pouted, but she understood that probably Zuri was right about that. "Uhm.." What was that other thing, now?
"Ok, well sorry ... I should go now!" she said quickly - not wanting the older lioness to think she couldn't take care of herself, after all.
Turning around, she ran back the way she had come, calling over her shoulder, "Bye!"
