  It was a warm sunny morning, with just the hint of fall in the air. As the sun rose higher into the sky, a young mare made her way through the open fields, cutting a path through the tall yellowing grasses. It was a bit strange, considering she had wings and didn't need to walk. But today she felt like taking a stroll would be good. She watched as insects darted in front of her, but still watched the land and sky for someone to talk to.

The landing was perfect, Pegasus thought, as a smile curved his lips. It wasnt anything to be particularly happy about, but in a new land, one was never sure of what he might do. The winged stallion stepped onto the grass, before his direction reverted to something else. He glanced, to see another, soquili, they called it, walking towards him. She had wings also, he mused.
"Hello there!" He called out, unsure of what reception he might recieve. Well, in the worst situation, he could fly away. Letting his wings fall to his side, he tilted his head at the new soquili asking "Who are you?".

Calantha had heard a soft thud not far off, but had paid little mind to it, as she watched a buttefly fluttered over head, and eventually land on her forelock. After a moment of trying to get the butterfly back into view she turned to see a golden stallion approaching her, though different from any that she had seen before. "Good morning." She said, unphased by the armor. "I am Calantha." She added as the butterfly made its way down the blaze that ran the length of her face. "And who are you?" She asked with a grin on her face, slightly cross-eyed as she attempted to watch the butterfly.

"Pegasusmon." he said simply, his eyes adverted from the sight of a unseemly female, that had little less than dignity to be cross-eyed and stare at a butterfly, that was in an impossible position. Coughing tactfully, he raised a wing, pondering whether or not to leave this female, who seemed to pay more attention to a butterfly, than another. Well, it didnt matter to him, whether or not he was paid attention to, but someone might've as well taught her some manners.
Deciding to give her another chance, because after all, first impressions were not always the accurate impression, He asked, "How are you faring today?", but made no move to move from his position.

"I am doing quite well today, and yourself?" She said before tossing her head so the butterfly would fly off. She now stared at him, bright blue eyes flicking up and down him, now that she could get a closer look at the strange stallion.

"Adequately enough." Pegasus said patiently, watching the other mare observe him. "May I ask what you're doing out here? Or perhaps I've intruded?" Pegasus tilted his head questioningly, his green eyes staring directly back at the blue eyes that watched him, and he shook his head. "If I have, I'll be glad to leave. After all.." Pegasus trailed off looking at the sky, as if to determine what time it was, before continuing ".. I dont have time to waste."
"But before that, would you mind telling me where exactly are we? I'm afraid that I stopped out of sheer curiousity, which I admit, isnt a good move on my part." hHs gaze traveled their surroundings, looking for something that he was familiar with, but unfortunately, everything seemed too foriegn. Pegasus sighed in disappointment, before looking at the mare, expecting an answer.

"I am just here enjoying the morning air, no real reason other than that." She said as she watched him. "No I don't mind the company." She added as she toss her head to get her forelock out of her eyes.
"We are in the plains. Continue that way and you hit the ocean." She said with a nod to one side. "And the other way there is the forest, and then the mountains, beyond which is the desert." She added with a nod in the other direction. "There is a lake, rivers, the beach and the village over that way." She said nodding in another direction. "I have been to almost all of them, but I have only ever heard about the desert, I haven't gone there yet."

"Morning air? I cant express it, but it does give you a soothing feeling, doesnt it?" Pegasus smiled warmly, tilting his head to enjoy the breeze. "Well, thank you for your company, if only for a brief moment." He lifted his wings, recounting where he had wanted to go, before turning around. "And I think I'll certainly take your advice on not traveling to the desert." He added in chuckling. Spreading his wings, he left, leaving a gust of wind behind.

Calantha was intrigued by the strange stallion, and his apparent hasty exit. But she paid little mind to it, and continued on through the land.
