 Karis was sitting in a small forest clearing. She was licking at her paw, cleaning her nails. She tried to keep her fur clean and smelling nice at all times. She loved preening herself when she had no company or wasn't out exploring.
She heard some sound of branches and leaves, the sound of someone walking nearby. Her ears turned up, paying some heed to be on the aware of whatever was coming. She tried to be brave. Whatever it was... she could take heart and stand her ground.

 Midori wondered around the forest looking for something interesting. She was always exploring and doing random things. It was just how she liked things. She then saw a small clearing over the bushes. She peeked in through the bushes to see if anything or anyone was there. Surprisingly there was, it was someone like her. She saw the Ulaya cleaning her fur and such. Midori did that sometimes, she was to busy exploring all the time to realize how her fur looked. Which could be bad and good, I suppose. She just looked at her through the bushes, not really wanting to bother her at the moment. She would just spy a little before she went to introduce herself. She didn't want to interrupt her or anything.

Karis's eyes widened as her ears twitched. There was that sound again. The rustling of leaves. It was like someone was there; and yet they weren't. If she had more friends, she would think maybe someone was teasing her with a prank... However, she still didn't really know a lot of Ulaya.
She turned around trying to face the direction the sound came from. She kept looking around, feeling alert. Her level of awareness bordered on feeling a tinge of paranoia. "Hello... Is someone there? A raw Karis does not taste good!" She hoped offering that would deter any malicious Undolians who were out and about looking for an innocent to malign.

Midori analyzed her for a little bit longer. I suppose there was no harm in coming out now. We didn't want her to think she was some sort of big ugly monster. But what would she do when she came out from the bushes? She didn't know what she would do, but ow harm coming out in some sort of random way, neh?
She suddenly sprang out of the bushes and charged at her. She had no better way to come out, plus it might be fun. She ran as fast as she could toward the new Ulaya she had come across. Midori didn't know how she'd react, but she did it anyway. She always did things without thinking them out first, that's what made her, her. Plus she was still a little kit.

Karis's eyes spread wide open with shock. Before she could think it over, there she was. A little ulaya rolling like bulldozer. Karis put her paws out in front of her to brace and catch her. "Whoa there little one... gotta becareful. Going that fast.. you're likely to run into a tree or hurt yourself." Karis couldn't help but chuckle at how neat it was being around children. They were so full of life.

She had never ran into a tree before. She wondered how it would feel like. Maybe it'd be fun? For a second there she had forgotten someone was there. Maybe she knew what it was like to run into a tree. Since shes here, why not ask? It'd also give her a chance to meet someone else new. She did like to meet new people. It was always nice to have friends around, especially if your growing up, like she was.
"Would it be fun, running into a tree?" She asked with a smile on her face. She was always looking for fun things to do. If it was fun, she wanted to do it, no matter what. She was a little bit crazy like that.

Karis just looked nearly dumbfounded for a minute. "Well.. I mean.. I don't know from complete experience. I mean.. I run into things and hurt myself sometimes.. never ran into a tree yet. But, trees are big and strong.. and it seems to me if you're moving really fast.. the faster you go. the harder it feels when you hit it.. but... if you really wanna plow into one. I guess I shouldn't stop you.."
Karis fluffed her tail up and down. A giggle came to her as she watched the active little one. She smiled admiring how cute the girl was. Karis was a calm and friendly ulaya. She tried to always side with the good nature of everyone.

She had only gotten hurt a few times before. But nothing to an extreme. After she had heard she'd hurt herself if she ran into a tree she didn't want to anymore. She didn't like getting hurt very much. She she wasn't willing to run into a tree for that reason. Maybe if the tree wasn't big and strong?
"I don't like getting hurt much, I guess I wouldn't do it then." She said somewhat saddened. She always wanted to have fun. Since running into a tree wouldn't be fun, she got a little sad. But maybe this new Ulaya will have some fun with her.

Karis thought for a moment. She knew it had been a while since she was a cub. She forgot how carefree and fun chasing it was to be that way. Then, her mind drifted to the lake a 20 minute walk away. "Hey... do you know how to swim? Would you get in trouble if you went somewhere with me?"

"Swim? What's that?" She asked a bit confused.
She didn't know much yet. She had only met a few people and don't really spend time with her parents. So she was still a little bit confused about all the things she had and could learn. And if swimming was fun she'd be willing to do it without a doubt.
"I don't think I'd get in trouble, so I'll go!" She said smiling, moving her tail back and forth.

"Swimming is like taking a bath," Karis started. "except... the area of water you get in is like.. s uper huge.. and the water is everywhere. It does make you wet all over..."
Karis looked on empathetically at Midori. She was touched and moved. How could any parent who was so lucky to have a cute kid like this not try to be a bigger part of her life? This was beyond her ability to conceive thought. She found herself everyday wanting cubs of her own more and more.
She smiled as she got up to lead the way to a lake she knew of that wasn't too deep. It had a shallow area perfect for what she had in mind. "Hey... You know what I think? I need to find myself a buddy... A good side kick... a friend who can be there to hang out with when i need something fun to do. Too bad I don't know anyone like that... do you have someone fun to hang out with regularly?"

The thought about the swimming for a second. Sounded like a whole bunch of fun. Not to mention it'd give something to do. Also, a new thing to learn. She liked to learn things if it were going to be fun. . .
She looked over at her. "Hmm, I don't think I do. I've only meet a few other Ulaya so far." She said and smiled at her. It was true she had only met a few others like her. She did have fun with one, however that was only once. It's be nice to have someone to have fun with all the time. Especially for her who liked to have fun all the time.
"Oooh, oooh!" She said starting to jump around, jumping in front of her suddenly. "I could be a good side kick." She said, her eyes widening with excitement. It'd be super fun for her. Making friends was probably one of the things she liked to do the most. Other then having fun all the time.

Karis had been off for a while. She was sitting up on the cliffs where she moved to during the fall. She was sitting there feeling a need for some adventure. It had been a while since she had some. She thought maybe she had been doing the solo thing a bit too much. With the entering of what she thought might be her soul mate. She was starting to want to make more of what life was given to her.
She then sprang down all the sides that led into the forest. She was trotting at a quickened pace. She wasn't sure if she still lived there. She hoped to find her little sidekick. They could go on an adventure. She then found the thicket she met her at before. She stopped, and half sat down, calling for her. "Midori... you still around here? It's Karis..." She looked around tenatively.

Midori was just wondering around today, like she was usually doing. She'd wonder if she might find someone to hang around today. Wondering alone made her miss her friends sometimes. Especially the ones she had first met, and hadn't seen in so long. She then began to wonder what they might be going. She didn't even notice she was wondering around where she had met one of her old friends. She then suddenly heard her name. She began to look around some. No one had come looking for her before. It was quite weird that someone might be calling her name. She didn't get the name of who was calling her. She just looked around, until she decided to say something. "Hello?" She said, as if questioning someone was actually looking for her.

Karis heard the answerng voice. It did sound a little different. Then, Karis realized she must have been growing up since she last saw the little purple girl with the double ended tail. She crept up through the bushes.
"Why hey there.. boy.. You sure grew up. What a pretty lady you are.. almost too pretty to be anyone's side kick. Sheesh. who knows... maybe I need to be your sidekick. Though.. I must confess. I haven't been out having too many adventures. I was feeling sorry for myself for a while." She said the last part with a blush on her cheeks. She obviously felt a bit embarrassed to say it.
