*It seemed so very long ago that his first brood were born, now they are grown and looking for love themselves, though word had come to the stallion's ears that his son had found someone. Someone that he had met when only in a basket and Shihab himself watching over it carefully. A smile grabbed at Shihab's face thinking back at the filly that had taken to Andre's basket like a fish to water. Still, it could only wish the best for his brood, that they would grow to have lovely families like he had himself.
Wings stretched at his sides, Shihab had been off for a small while, searching for something, but what he didn't know. He had everything he could ask for right at home. A caring human, a loving mate, wonderful children, even if they were off living their own lives. He couldn't have been happier. Touching down near home, he folded his tri colored wings to his sides and looked to the skies. It was good to be home, good to see Adelle again, he wondered if Dao had protected her well as the feline seemed to care a lot for his silver bell while he was gone.*
"Adelle? Dao?" he called while walking toward the familiar willow that was home, though in the back of his mind, Frosta's words still echoed about finding a safer, more cave like home for the winter months. "Anyone home?"

Adelle looked around where she stood under the tree that she called home. Shihab had gone off for awhile and she had no idea when he'd be back and Dao it seemed had wandered off somewheres as well. She sighed as she looked up and saw the colors of the leaves starting to change colors. Her children were gone off enjoying their own lives and here she was missing them horribly. She thought back to all the memories of her daughter and son growing up not paying any mind to her surroundings. A smile appeared as she thought about the memories and because she was so absorbed in those memories she failed to hear Shihab arrive.

*Hearing no reply from his beloved, he went closer to where they called him, to where their first children had called home for who knows how long, didn't seem that long ago that there were little hooves prancing around. Testing their small wings against the winds, bidding them to take their bodies higher into the skies above. Shaking the memories from his mind, Shihab walked closer to the towering willow who's leaves were starting to fade and leave the snake like branches to blow in the cooling breezes.
Ears twisting upon his head, he let his long mane drift within the winds that decided to blow this day, his long tail dragged the leaf covered ground. Autumn was coming and coming quickly, he could feel it within his bones. Stepping inside their home, he spotted something silver on the back side. Stepping closer, his steps nearly quite until he stepped on a brittle twig. Freezing to his place, he watched the silver being that he had come to love, a smile graced his black and gold littered face as he stepped ever closer to Adelle and nuzzled against her side.*
"Hello my dearst. Sorry for being away so long, was scouting out a new place for our winter home. One that will hold up better then this." He said softly, placing a wing over her back like he always did. "My adopted sister Frosta had given me the idea to move toward a cave for the winter seasons, and I think I found one that will be most suitable for our needs."

Hearing a twig snap near her Adelle quickly looked behind her a smile now appearing on her face as she saw who it was. "You're home!" she exclaimed happily before he spoke. Though she quickly quieted down when he nuzzled her side. "It's perfectly fine you were away for so...wait...new home? Whatever do you mean?" She asked her eyes open wide as she tried to adjust to the term 'New Home.'
As far as she was concerned this tree was perfect as home. Granted with children it would have been wiser to have had a more cavelike home but their children were all off on their own now. Plus with having grown up in the far north where there was nothing but snow and wind the winters here seemed remarkably mild. So she saw no need to move to a new place for the winter. "Why ever would we want to go stay in a cave? This willow is perfectly fine." She was going to be highly stubborn on this topic it seemed.

*Shihab had to look up at the old tree that had become their home, there were fears he had since a couple branches had fallen in one of the storms. He had to wonder who much longer it would stand before it would completely come down, which he hoped wouldn't upon them, or injuring anyone that they cared about. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Shihab looked back toward his Love.*
"I have fears that the old tree won't stand against another harsh storm, that it might fall while we sleep beneath it. I wish not to burden you with these thoughts, but I wish nothing to happen to you or anyone else that happens to be visiting us and stays the night because of a storm." he admitted lowering his head a little. "I don't know what I would do if something had happened."
*At this thought he placed his head on her shoulders, as if the thoughts in his head were too heavy to keep it up under his own power. Golden eyes closed to the thought of having her near, but didn't quiet chase all the worries away.*

Adelle looked up at the branches of the tree as Shihab spoke. She had to admit he was right but she didn't want to have a home in a cave. Caves were to dark for her liking and one couldn't see the scenery as well from a cave. "I don't want to live a cave like place though. I prefer the comfort of the willow trees." she explained quietly. She really did not want to leave this tree though. There were to many memories attached to this tree.

*Shihab had to hang his head a little as he looked at her, he worried for their safety, they would always return to the tree. The place he had picked out wasn't that far and it had a great view of the plain though still sheltered from the winds of winter. The least he could do was to show her to cave, the floor itself was covered with moss and leaves, most the walls were over grown with ivy to hide the stony feel of a prison rather then a home. He was sure they would be safe.*
"I know, I don't really want to leave this old tree, but I fear for our safety." He nodded slightly as he pawed at the ground beneath his hooves.
*Shaking his head he walked over to Adelle and nuzzled against her as he came to her side. She was still as lovely as the day they had met. He coudl still remember that day, when he spotted a snow white dove grounded without the knowing of how to fly. He never regretted meeting her.*
"Tell you what love, We can go take a look at the cave, if you don't like it, we'll stay here." He offered letting her be the one to say whether they remain at the tree during the winter or not. "And I won't argue with you, I was never one for argueing to begin with" He chuckled stepping away a little.

Adelle nuzzled Shihab back and sighed a little. She knew there was the matter of safety but she loved this tree. Plus being from the far north the winters here she felt were very very mild compared to up north. Though she didn't want to make her love worry especially when he was gone visiting with others. "I guess I'll take a look at the cave and see what it is like." Her voice was quiet as she spoke nuzzling Shihab once more.
"But what about the children though? What if they come back here and find us not here? Will they think we've abandoned them?" She couldn't help but ask once the thought managed to cross her mind. "How would we tell them that we were living somewheres else if we did go and live at this cave you've found?" Her eyes were wide open and full of worry as these questions ran through her mind.

He hadn't really thought about the kids, they stopped by every now and again to visit. Though he had yet to meet his son's mate, officially. But he felt that his family was growing larger by the day. Thoughts clouded his sight before he was snapped out of it again and he smiled at Adelle as she nuzzled against him.
"We don't have to leave the old tree completely." He nodded, Perhaps it could be just a storm shelter when the winds refuse to slow and rain or snow refuses to leave things dry."
Looking off toward the mountains and to where he had found the cave. Stepping away from Adelle and opened his tri colored wings. He would lead her to the cave for her approval. He hoped that she would like it, it seemed safe enough, even safe enough to give birth to foals in the future. Lifting himself off the ground he hovered for a moment looking back at his love.
"I will show you, my love." He nodded awaiting for Adelle to follow his lead and they both could fly together.
