A man carrying a large halberd was standing in front of an entire army of dark faced soldiers. The man had louse, brown hair and bright, green eyes. Goggles where strapped over his forehead and a bright red scarf hung down from his neck. He wore a black shirt and his pants had the color of nighttime.

The two sides stared at each other for a minute and then suddenly they both charged. The halberdier pulled his weapon behind him and swung forward to cause the first blow. The first solider bent over where the blade hit, but then all the other soldiers bent down just like the first. They all turned into cookies that fell on the ground. The warriors bent down and picked one up. He was about to bite on it when something poked his waist. He looked over and saw and arrow lightly poking him, “Kiiiilooo…. Wake uppppp….”

Kilo opened his eyes and saw a girl looking over him. The girl had had lush, gray hair and eyes to match. “Finally you’re awake!” She said folding her arms, an arrow was held in one of her hands. Kilo leaned up still sleepy, “Usually… I’d get mad if someone woke me up but I’m kinda glad you did…” he said groggily. The girl looked at him curiously, “What are you blabbing about?” She gave a sigh, “Well whatever… We should get moving before the sun comes out.” She got up and walked to her spot around the fire.

“Thanks Serene.” Kilo said looking around his camp. All that was around where trees. There camp existed in the middle of a clearing. Along with Serene, there where two other people packing their stuff. To Kilos left another guy was bent down packing his stuff. He had purple hair and brown eyes. He wore a grayish blue trench coat. “Mornin’ Lucian.” Kilo said sleepily. Lucian just kept silent. Across the fire was a young girl with black hair. Dressed in a white, woolen dress with cyan and teal designs around it, she looked very holy. “Mornin’ Sonia.” Kilo said hoping to get a better response than last time. Sonia looked back to him and smiled, “Good morning!”

Kilo smiled back and got up and picked up his blanket. He shook the dirt out and stuffed it in his pack. He looked in his pack to make sure he had all his things. “Gold, whet stone, dried meat, and water… looks like I’m all set.” Kilo said. “That’s nice.” Serene said warming her hand with what was left of the fire. “Well at least you don’t take as long as mister quiet over there.” She commented looking at Lucian. Lucian looked back at her and said nothing.

Sonia sat next to Serene and put her hands up front of the weaking fire too. “How easy do you thing this next job to be?” She asked looking at Kilo. “I don’t really know, all I know is that they’ve been around for a few years.” Kilo replied to Sonia’s question. Lucian walked over to them. “They’re bandits… if they’ve been around for awhile they should have a mini army… not that it matters to me…” Lucian said. “AND it means that they have a small fortress! They’re going to barricade themselves in it.” Serene spoke out frustrated. “Archery’s not too good indoors huh?” Kilo looked at Serene. “Well at least you can get the wimps that run out of the building when we attack it.”

Serene closed her eyes and sighed. “Let’s just go” Serene said as she got up and grabbed her bag and bow. Lucian just told there with all his stuff already on his back. Sonia picked up her sling pack and staff. And Kilo just threw his pack which he was already holding and swung it on his back. They stomped on the remaining charcoals and headed to the west.
