Other than the cool ninjitu and the physical abilities of ninjas, they always carry weapons. From misile to close range, there's always weapons. Why don't we talk about the weapons we have for our characters? For example, my character Kitsune has a large scythe, medium scythe and a sickle with chains. She never use weapons that are not related to scythes or sickles.

hmm, just wondering though, wouldn't it be better (in reality I guess) to be able to use other weapons? (more versatile, better chance of survival sweatdrop )Personally I have a feeling my character will prefer short range weapons though^^.

My character Ai tends to rely on genjustsu, she relies on speed during battle so she uses the lighter weapons, preferably kunai and metal/water needles..when she's not lazy she lugs around an oversized bustersword, zabuza size..lol.. xd the thing is so huge...she never uses it, so she just leaves it wrapped up in a cloth and tied down with ropes, at home or somewhere random.. whee sweatdrop

Being a Sharingan Carrier, my character heavily relies on speed and jutsu's, but his gloves are a special thing. Since he specializes in water for being the leader of the Hidden Rain Village, he can manipulate his chakra with water and form claws of sharp ice or a sword. ((Special effects of the Ice Gloves XD))

My character uses shrunken with 3 prongs, in a wavy pattern...
He is also known for using other deadly weapons, such as swords, and others, but before he became all dark and gloomy, he used to specialize in non-lethal combat and was known for two weapons. (actually three weapons) One was a seven part sectional staff- (A simple looking staff that can be folded up and concealed easily, until the used wanted it, where he/she would whip it, instantly fiting it into place. The more advanced users of the weapon could weild it as a whip as well.) and the other was a telescopic steel baton. (he'd wield two of these at once. These are compact steel batons that fling out with the flick of the wrist. these weapons may be "non-lethal" but they can seriously do some lethal damage. They can shatter bones very easily and are extremely sturdy.

My guy is sort of a mix between Itachi and Zabuza, he's got the wicked-cool Mange Sharingan, and a Broad Sword(sorta like Zabuza's) - because bigger is better, and Shurinkens are just too small xd

Kotai is pretty much your average Chuunin genius. He uses shuriken and kunai... and with his variance technique, Insect Control, he can use his Destruction bugs to form other objects. Be they shields or weapons.
Komm Kage, Kuraisennin... he creates all he needs out of the transplanar "shadow spirits" that he is formed out of. He generally uses a Kusari-gama, though any weapon or item can be created with a constant usage of Chakra.

hmm...i'm kinda out of place...being new and all....but The Fuuma Shuriken is awesome by my standpoint, although a bit outdated by the super powerful techniques like Rasengan or Chidori or other jutsus, Kage Shuriken No Jutsu (Evil Shadow Windmill) is effective on non-suspecting people.
Well anyway...my character relies more on ninjutsu and taijutsu. I might use the weapons first and then continue with taijutsu. Like using Kage Shuriken no Jutsu and then following up with Konoha Senpuu(Leaf Whirlwind) while the enemy is distracted can be quite devestating...My character also carries a Kitana around to counter people with swords...kind of like how Kakashi can hold back Zabuza's giant sword to a standstill with only a kunai...

My character uses a short blade attached to his wrist (for those who have seen the anime king of bandit jing, you will know what I mean) and it is fast and easy to attack and defend with, but it alsso keeps his hands free of carrying a weapon and his can still do hand seals and throw shurikens and kunais.

My character Shiko Shinuki mainly uses boomerangs, shurikens and kunai's using her chakra on them to train better and she also is very well at hiding. As for Jutsu she does not use it that much, maybe for clones and fireballs or anything else that might help out.

Moro-Dashi carries the basic shuriken and kunais, and uses her chakra to control them. her chakra is not much at the moment, but she can focus it into high-power intensities. she is a talisman user from China, and often uses the magic of foxes. she carries a katana with her, despite her bieng a ninja.
