He had been thinking on the things that his mother had said for a while... He had also thought on the things that the strange, white stallion had said. The words had shifted into his head and he wasn't sure he liked there they were going.
His nose wrinkled as he gave his head a light toss, heading deeper into the forest. He wasn't paying much mind to the direction that he was wandering. It hadn't settled yet that he didn't usually drift out as far as he currently had... Or why he didn't.
The air seemed almost darker but he shook it off as having to do with the coming night. He would have to find somewhere to settle down soon... Once it got too dark he wouldn't be able to see all that well and it was never good to wander the forest at night unless the moon was out and full.

He grumbled and cursed to himself as he made his way through the trees. He'd blame Tony entirely for him having to take this route home rather than the easier one by the river. They'd done too much wandering and the only way home that wasn't though brambles was though this.
He could smell it, whatever it was, and he didn't like it one bit. His skin prickled and he just hoped whatever it was stayed asleep and well away from him.
-------------------------------------------
He'd been amused when one snack walked into his home and the amusement had turned into full blown hilarity when a second one had done just the same. Idiots all of them. It was almost beautiful in a way how so many forgot what their senses told them and though they could make it though without trouble.

His senses had always lead him to trouble of some sort and never seemed to pay much mind to what they should have warned him away from. He figured that was just one of the things that made him his father's son... Just as it was one of those things that separated him from his brother.
Sighing softly he shook his head, moving away from the trees towards the area that had a bit more light. He paused after a moment, ears flickering slightly towards whatever sound it was that had touched them. Even if he couldn't see it... There was something else in this area and it was getting louder.

He tossed his head and stopped for a moment. "Spirits be damned..." shaking curls out of his face he nosed his way though some vines and a bit of brush until he could actually see where he was going.
View unobstructed he could also see something though the trees. A stock of green that had nothing to do with the trees. "Wylie? What in hell are ya doing out here?"
His brother shouldn't have been out this far, or at least he didn't think he'd ever gone out this far before. Usually he went in the other direction to avoid him.

His eyes narrowed slightly as his ears swiveled towards an all too familiar voice. "Wonderful. Just wonderful." He snorted softly as he turned his head towards his brother. "Wasn't aware I had t'answer t'you as t'were I went and why..." Not like he couldn't ask his sibling the same question.

And Mama wondered why they fought. He hadn't even said anything bad to his brother and there he went all defensive and rude. "Yer the one always tries to not go where i am. Ya know i always head this direction."
Ah so they knew each other, even better. He moved though the trees carefully, keeping wings tucked in so as to not catch any branches, until he could see the two stallions. Siblings most likely. They did share that same tone of green.

"I don't pay no attention to which way you head." He snorted softly, giving his head a toss that sent fiery mane splaying along his neck. If he had payed attention to where Dodger was always wandering off with someone else he certainly wouldn't have wandered in that direction.
He shook his head, turning away from his brother. "You jus' keep on goin' wherever it was that you were headed... An' I'll head back on my way. No need for you to waste your time talkin' t'me."

He might not have liked his brother in general but it didn't mean he wanted him dead. "I wouldn't go that way if i was you." He shook his head and looked back behind him, where his brother had been going.
"That place ain't nice. Something's out there that shouldn't be bothered"

"O'course you wouldn't... But you're not me. You're you." He snorted softly. That was one of the beautiful things... Dodger wasn't him. That was one of the few ways that he could actually live with himself... Knowing that he was different than his brother, even if those differences made it unbearable to be around him.
"Yes, there is. Me. Don't know why you even bother, Dodge... Ain't like you want t'be here anyways. Don't you have one of your little friends to go run off with?"

"You should listen to your brother you know. He seems to be far more intelligent than you." He pushed branches out his way with his wings and eyed the two brothers standing before him. One of them was almost stupid enough that he was about to become lunch.
He should have let the green one just keep walking into his mouth but it was so much more fun to toy with dinner first.
He felt the skin down his back crawl as something stepped out of the trees. Turning he eyed the large white stallion. The thing didn't look all that imposing with his coloration but the wings.
Tony had said something about his mother's kind and whatever this was fit the bill to a tee. It wasn't something he wanted to even think about messing with.

A fiery brow lofted as he glanced at the new stallion on the scene... White with dark stripes up his legs and. "What th'hell. I'm supposed t'be afraid of somethin' with bright, pink wings? Ah don't think so. Go on, Stripes. Jus' move out and I'll be on my way."

"Wylie .... i think you should listen to it." He backed away slightly toward his brother. He didn't like the look the white stallion had nor the fact that he couldn't tell exactaly where it's eyes were. "I've heard things about his kind"
"My kind hm?" He knew what he looked like even if he wasn't full blood. It worked to his advantage again so it seemed. He stretched one wing out and turned his head to look at it.
"So were judging things upon color are we? Then i should think that you are a bountiful meal laid out for me." He smirked at Wyili, fangs easily visible, before he tucked his wings back against his side.

"Y'know what I think, Dodger? I think it's time that you stopped tellin' me what t'do and how I should act." He snorted, fiery eyes narrowing as he gave his head another toss before starring at the winged thing. "Based on color? I'd only be a bountiful meal if you liked grass... Based on anythin' else? Too tough to eat... Or poisonous. Might just make y'sick."

"Won't know until i try then will i." He smirked before he lunged at the green male. One bite wouldn't hurt. Well at least it wouldn't hurt him. It might hurt the idiot.
He jumped back as the white thing lunged and scrambled backwards. He'd expected it to lunge at one of them and of course it woudl go for Wylie.

For once he was damned glad that he was his father's son... He had his father's luck and his father's speed in pulling back from the lunge, the weird stallion's fangs just barely missing his shoulder. "Hey there, Stripes! Ah really don't think that's a good idea."
