Welcome to Pentex! We at Pentex Subsidies have spent many years dedicated to bringing you the consumer the highest quality goods in the market - we bring you the cutting edge in everything from medical suplies to video games.
Unfortunately, the world is not as great a place as we'd like it to be - monsterous creatures lurk in the shadows - monsters that'd like nothing more than to strip you the consumer of all the gifts we at Pentex have given you. These savages would no doubt like to return us to the dark age, herd us like Cattle.
Understandably, we wish to protect ourselves, and you the consumer from such dangers. As a result, we've begun a scheme of training young men and women like yourselves to act as a line of defence against these monsters - through a combination of training and gene-treatment we can make you equal to these creatures of the night.
Standard Pentex rates of pay, pension plans and non-disclosure agreements apply.
Anyone interested? The game is Freak Legion: A Player's Guide to Fomori (Black Dog title). You'd be playing recruits, protecting their resources from those pesky Werewolves and Mages... So long as you know the WW system, everything else you should be able to pick up (I'll suggest powers in groups, to keep things simple).

Oooh... First Teams, eh? I have to say that it sounds deliciously evil. And hey, an idealistic (and ignorant) recruit would be thrilled at a chance to defend Humanity from the furballs. When you try to exterminate a species (*cough* Impergium *cough*), don't be surprised if we carry a grudge.
If you build it, I will come.

You're the second to show interest, so it's looking good! Ideally I want 3-5 players, but I can work around whatever I've got.
The game'll be about descent - you'll start off ignorant and powerfull, super-soldiers fighting for the good of humanity. But that never lasts. If only because Fomori dont live long and because you can't stay involved with a company like Pentex for that long, without realising something's wrong...
Also, there's a Bane living in your head.
Their powers are interesting - you start with None, but can buy ones, so long as you buy Taints to balance it out, so someone with 5 points of powers might not be too strong, but they could still pass as human. Someone with 15 points, while an almost unstoppable powerhouse, could well be looking at slow mental atrophy and a lifespan measurable in months, as their body litteraly rots away from them. Only less depressing lol

any more takers? I've 2 atm, but it's not really worth running for that few (especially online).
That said, failing this, how about Mage (oWoD)?

I'd be up for that, as well. Still, I think there is some good potential for playing ignorant (or semi-ignorant) pawns soldiers of an evil noble mega-corporation dedicated to degenerating defending the human race.

Oh aye, but with only two players, it doesn't really work as well (there's less options in power-level, and no chance of much commadere)

Are we restricted to just humans? Or can other races, Probably not werewolves participate as corperate retainers?

I think you might have to wait a while. JohnMcfloss has been missing for a fair time now. Here's hoping he comes back soon.

I've got an itch for Formori now after blowing the dust off of Freak Legion, so yeah, if johnmcfloss is still going to run the game, let's go, I have a character in mind for play. If he doesn't want to run the game anymore, I'll pick it up.

Freak Legion - The place where fair, levelheaded roleplayers go to create hideously mutated, brain-gorging, psychonauts. What...chapter 2?! No time!! I'm meltinggggg!!!
Aherm. *straightens tie* Seriously though:
I'd play...just don't tell my other character concepts. My elderly doctor in the demon campaign would be very jealous.

I'm still in, and I've got a character concept prepared, if you approve, JohnMcFloss:
Richard "d**k" Pulsipher, ex-soldier. An observer will note his chiseled jaw, his watchful eye, his regal bearing; like something from a propaganda poster for the ideal warrior. And then he'll speak, ruining the image.
Richard didn't join the Army to serve his country, and neither did he feel any love for his brothers-in-arms. He just wanted to be part of an authority structure, a place were he could give and take orders, follow regulations, and maybe shoot someone. His superiors and squad-mates took issue with this, but every time they tried to get him drummed out, d**k would point out that he had, technically, done nothing wrong. Most aggravatingly, his grasp of the rules proved correct. After all, how do you prove that someone isn't "living up to Army Core values"? Once his four-year term of service ended, though, he was quickly handed an honorable discharge and rushed out the door.
In step representatives of a private security firm, offering him a chance to keep playing soldier. He serves a short term, guarding company assets. His zeal for following Standard Operating Procedure, and for following orders unquestioningly, makes him a favorite of executives. His team-mates, on the other hand, chafe at his lack of social graces. He is offered a promotion to an "elite unit," complete with advanced medical "upgrades." And so, he is implanted with a Bane and assigned to a First Team.
His powers and taints are low-key, so he does not know the true extent of what was done to him. He isn't as strong as he used to be (Atrophy), but he is incredibly grateful (Brainwashed) for his new abilities; he no longer needs night vision gear (Darksight), and his decreased strength is compensated for with greater speed (Extra Speed). An excellent light infantryman in service to Pentex.

I as well have prepared a character concept though there are a few things that need to be looked at. I drew information from The Werewolf main book, the Werewolf Players Guide, and Freak Legion. The first two I consulted for abilities, attributes, and merits and flaws, while I obviously looked at Freak Legion for more fomori-specific things and for rules on character creation, (ie. 6/4/3 instead of 7/5/3). It got a little fishy though, because the Werewolf books have abilities/backgrounds that don't make sense for a fomori. Thus, I took what made sense and left behind what didn't:
Examples of things left behind -- The background dealing with Werewolf ancestry or, for an abilities example, Swimming, which is pretty much covered by Athletics.
Examples of things I kept -- Demolitions, because although it is not specifically mentioned in the Freak Legion example character sheet, I'd be surprised if militants working for a high-tech mega-corporation aren't going to occasionally have access to boom-booms.
The list continues but more was cut than kept I'd say. In any case it would be nice to have a discussion about the standardization of the character sheet, because there are clearly some disconnects. The storyteller has to make sure that everyone is playing with the same potential abilities (though the point distributions will inevitably be different for each character) , that is to say, one character sheet can't have a point in wyrm lore if another player's sheet doesn't even have the phrase. Meanwhile the characters need to have enough types of skills, talents, and knowledges that they can bring a unique character to life.
Also, I need to go back and confirm this, but I belive one of the books lists leadership as a talent, while another lists it as a skill. This could have repercussions on the game as the rules governing talents and skilss at zero point levels are different.
Lets nail this down once and for all so we can solidify our character concepts and actually be playing the same game once it gets started.

I'm going to work on the general rule of 'Freak Legion is right' (I can't say the impact on that right now, as I'm not sure where the book is, it's midnight and I'm a little drunk), which'll hopefully solve the talent/skill issue.
As for extra skills. I ran a Wraith game once, where I compiled a master list of all the skills referenced in a Wraith book ever. It was rediculous - I had a character who'd sunk points into Slang - they tend towards specifics that are unnecissary. The way I view it - if you want a skill that isn't on the main sheet, who am I to stop you. But I wont ask for it. Ever. (Except maybe Demolitions - I can't believe it's not in Freak Legion... But it's one of those skills that only seems to be in half the books it should...) However, if you've got one, and you think it fits better than what I asked for and you mention it, I might drop the difficutly (a diff.7 streetwise roll, or dif.6 Slang, to understand what someone's saying). So basically, I'd suggest trying to build a character using the Freak Legion stuff, but if there's still something missing, feel free to look elsewhere. But be sure to mention them explicitly when running the character past me (otherwise I'm likely to not notice until it comes up in game and breaks it).
