Tahupotiki had been gone for far to long. He had Followed his mother away from his home, followed her to a strange place where she was healed, then lost track of her. He had traveled all around, and had come in contact with a few others like him. He had found many things, including his voice. He didn't even realise it was his voice when he spoke! His mother had been running away, he didn't want her to.. he had had to stop her! So he had yelled for her.. Then he went after her.

But now, as the sun was starting to come back from the night, he caught a familier scent... HOME. He had made it back! Oh! He must remember from now on that he and directions do not work together! But, ahh! Home!

The golden splotched male ran across the fields, closer to that familier scent that ment a safe place and family. He yelled out in the morning light, a howl to his home pack, to his family. Could they hear him, he wondered? He hoped so. Maybe he would meet someone on his way in...

Who would answer his call, it was till early, after all?

A lone howl rose back over the air of the morning sunrise, long and happy. Of course with the way she ran she'd gotten back first, though she'd searched for months for her son after they'd lost contact with one another. Finally on a whim of pure hope she'd gone back to the mipinzani, hoping that he would be there as well, hoping he'd beaten her back, hoping he'd run faster than she.

While that had just been a hope she knew that Tahupotiki wasn't able to run as fast as she was, but Temari had hoped anyway.

Lifting her tiny body up off the rock she'd laid herself out on for the past weeks waiting, Temari stretched out her gold and white body to meet her son. Naturally she ran, born faster than most she streaked to meet her eldest boy.

The pack hadn't been the same since she'd come back, it didn't seem like any of the original dogs were all that happy at all. They were lucid, they didn't move that often, they just did what they had to do to keep living. The revolt that had reached their ears far and wide througout the packlands was weighting heavily on them, however it hadn't happened. Why they weren't rejoicing Temari wasn't sure.

So at least there was one happy thing amongst all the bad.

"Mother?" Tahu breathed. Yes... yes it was mother! She was back! She got back before him? Well, she was faster, he lost her a few times when he was tailing her.. Never mind that! It was Mother!

"Mother!" He said again, louder, calling out. He turned a fraction to where her call had rang out and pushed forward. It wasn't long till he could see her form running towards him too. He ran faster, if it was possible for him, and nearly nocked her over in happiness.

And, like any child would do after seeing his mother again after many months, Tahu whimpered and cried with joy, licking and nuzzling. He had missed her! Had missed all of his family. His brother, his sister, Jaama, the three little ones, the pack....

"Oh! I've missed you! how is everyone?"

Smiling and nuzzling her son after her... less than graceful... meeting with him. She picked herself up from where he'd tumbled her when they'd connected at their speeds and shook off her goldenrod fur. The tiny female swished her tail from side to side and smiled up at him.

"Tahu. Oh it's been so long since I've seen you. I'm so sorry that I lost you baby." Temari crooned to her, much larger, son as she nuzzled at his ears and licked his cheeks and ears like any mother would.

He had gotten so much larger since she'd seen him last, but of course she couldn't even begin to be happier with that. Her son wasn't as tiny as her, he was large and broad chested and his golden fur seemed to shine brighter than anything she'd ever seen.

Even Temari herself had undergone a drastic change for the better. Her beautiful fur that had turned nearly graygold from her sickness and insanity was now sparkling and gorgeous again, glowing over her small, lithe body as if she were carved out of the sun itself. Even the white on her seemed as if made of clouds or sky itself. Her sparkling green eyes had the spark they'd had long ago in them, long before Tahu had ever known his mother.

However to his question Temari wasn't sure of her answer she could give him. "They're.... leaderless..."

The first thing Tahu noticed once they had both calmed down was how TINY his mother was. or had he gotten bigger? He settled on that. He had grown up alot since they were split from each other.

The next thing he noticed was how pretty she was. He couldn't ever remember his mother being that glowing, and fresh looking. She was a sight to behold, and her eyes shown bright as green grass sparkling with dew.

"Leaderless?" This was a shock. Tahu was expecting things more along the lines of 'More cubs were born', 'We got another new member', 'the packlands are abundant with foods!'. But not 'Leaderless'.

"What happened.. Dhati...? What about Twawa? She had her babies, and then she was eager to be leader, wasn't she?" Tahu asked, worriedly.
