If you have read any books by Lois McMaster Bujold: Would you/ Have you read another?
Absolutely! I loved the first one, and kept on reading!
  Yes, I believe I would.
Maybe. If I came across one, I'd look into it.
Probably not. I was unimpressed, so it would not be worth it.

I sometimes pick up books just becuase I'm bored. I typically do not expect these books to be good, but I nearly almost finish them, and give them all the benefit of the doubt (because if I didn't, what's the point of reading them?). The one I picked up lately was, "The Curse of Chalion" by Lois McMaster Bujold. I loved it. I have since devoured "Paladin of Souls" also, and am looking for more by this author set in this same 'world'.

I guess my question is: questions are:

1) Who else has read these books/this author?
2) Did you like them/her?
3) What other books by this author have you read, and did you like them?
4) Have you read any similar books/authors that you liked enough that other people should look into them?

5.) Can anyone describe her books adequately, because I can't.

1) I have.
2) Oh, yes, very much.
3) Everything I could find. She has a third in the same universe that you have read, plus she started a new series (The Sharing Knife), and has written a large space-opera saga which has won an award, often referred to as the "Vor Saga" (it's short for something I can't remember how to spell).
4) I'll have to get back to you.
5) As I said, she's know for "space opera": sci-fi that doesn't concentrate too much on the science details, as it does on the poeple. She often incorporates a bit of romance into her books, but I didn't find it heavy-handed. Her fatnasy books are turning out equally good.

If you want to read one of her older works, look for the Baen Free Library online. She's got one or two books there.

Now that I finished it, the second book in her Sharing Knife series is just as good as the first, and there is supposed to be a third this spring!

The third Sharing Knife book is in my hands (only 6 months later than I hoped)!
