This is always a hard one for me. The list changes and I can never decide which ones I like better (especially when there's a genre difference), so here's just ten movies I really really love:
Little Miss Sunshine Hairspray (2007, although the 1988 version was quite good) To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar The Rocky Horror Picture Show Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Chicago Mystery Men Happy Feet Blades of Glory Stardust
I guess Little Miss Sunshine is probably the closest I can identify as a favorite, because I don't get too defensive about most movies when they're criticized, but I do about that one. Well, that one and most books-to-movies that are criticized based only on a comparison of the experience of reading the book to seeing the movie, since most of them don't take into account the differences in the mediums and nitpick at pointless details. Blood and Chocolate was terrible, though, and although being different from the book was among the least of its problems, I do tend to compare the two if I'm allowed to rant about it.
