Yet ANOTHER boring day within the gray walls of the Graveyard. Kailasa padded her way around, stepping on little rocks and stones that didn't bother her once sensitive paws. Her black toes barely made any sound as they touched the ground, and her weight was shifted so quietly that all together, she could barely be heard. She had begun to learn well.

Still though, as quietly as she moved about, she was bored, and wanted nothing more than a good bit of action. Maybe that darn bunny would come back and try to
take some more of her mane. Yea... Then she could n** at his little fluffy behind, showing him who was boss once and for all.

Stupid bunny. She would get him back.. Some day.

"Hello! "

This perhaps meant Kai had been seen, but actually, that was very far from the truth. The hello was not directed towards the hyena, who was unfortunately close enough to be around for this strange moment, but at a skull, that had its jaws open, and a brown maned wolf was sitting down, staring at it quite blankly.

Fumbi knew it was dead, of course. He wasn't that dense. But.. What else could he do? He'd came to the graveyard just because he'd never been in it before, and when he was-- it was kind of.. y'know. Boring. He loved it(like any other place in this insane place known as africa) but he loved company more. Skull didn't provide that too well but..

They were good enough for the waste.

Kai's ears suddenly perked up, her silver eyes looking around. Then, right there off to her side a little bit, sat a brown maned wolf. She cocked her head some, blinking her eyes in a confused fashion, as she could of sworn he hadn't been there just a few seconds ago. Shaking her head, she decided to pad on over to him, seeing just what he was up to, and exactly who he had said hello to in the first place.

"Excuse me... But.. Who are you talking to..?", she asked, her ears perked and her eyes trying to get
a glimpse around him.

" Why yes it is a fine.. " He blinked,, turning around to face the hyena with his strange purple eyes, , black lines comming from them but.. the fur wasn't actually black. Nope, he'd gotten painted! Wasn't that neat?!

" Hello! I was talking to no one. No one to talk to. But now there's ah.. you, yeah. " He nodded, looking distant for a moiment, then blinked. "whats wrong? " He perked his ears. This question perhaps seemed random, but there was at least one thing that could be known of the brown maned wolf. He was sensitive, a nd he could slightly tell Kai wasn't at all happy. Perhaps because moments ago she'd been thinking of the hare that had stolen some of her mane but..Well, Fumbi could tell when someone was unhappy but..

he couldn't read minds.

Kai shook her head some, becoming even more confused. He was talking to no one? When she came up to him, he had been talking to someone. So... How could he of not been talking to anyone? Oh... This was all very confusing... And it made for good headaches.

"Ummm.. Heh.. Alright. So, you weren't talking to anyone.. Yet you were just talking as I came up to you? Right... Yes... Okay then."

Her eyes shifted back and forth as she looked the maned wolf over. He had indeed been painted, and it was very nicely
done. Still, that didn't explain his talking that was talking even though it clearly was talking. Ugh... This was not exactly the type of 'excitement' Kai had been looking for.

"And wrong? Nothing is wrong. Why do you ask?"

"Yes. I was talking to no one. just talking. " He nodded a bit absent mindedly, and flicked his tail standing up and tilting his head at Kai. Why was she confused? He was telling the truth. "There was no one to talk to. So I talked. To no one. Just talked. " He said calmly, as if it were the simplest thing in the world.

"And yes, something is ahh.. wrong. " He peered at Kai curiously. "You're not happy with something. " He shrugged. He couldn't tell if it was just unhappyness, annoyance or all that. He could just know if someone was happy or not. "So whats wrong? "

"Just talking... To no one... Umm.. Alright. Sure. Let's go with that then." She wasn't as confused as before, as she talked quite often too, but at least it was to herself. They were usually just thoughts out loud, but the way he had been talking, it sounded as though he had actually been making conversation with someone.

Oh well. It was too weird to get all worked up over.

"And nothing's wrong. I'm just sort of bored today. It's very quiet in the Graveyard today." She looked around some, making sure no
other hyenas were in sight. "What are you doing here? Don't you know you're not supposed to be here? You could easily be killed and eaten."

"Yes. " He nodded slowly, then sat down, curling his tail around his paws. "But no, you don't seem happy. " He shrugged, unsure how he'd explain this to Kai. " Hello, I am Fumbi. " The maned wolf smiled, though still seemed distant. This wasn't a very good day.

"Ah, other hyenas, yes. I know. But I ah.. Decided to take my chances, yes. I've nnever been here, so I see no porblem. I'm doing no harm. " He nodded smartly, with a smile. " But, i heard this place disliked lions, now wolves such as myself. " He tilted his head a bit, as if confused by why they disliked lions. "Besides, I can run. I very much liked this place,b y the way! I don't intend to stay, however. "

Fumbi was usually a lot more enthusiastic, but he was dull and confusing in dull places, even though he claimed he liked them.

Boy.. This maned wolf just became more and more weird as he continued to talk on. Sometimes, he made sense. Other times, he didn't. What was Kai to do in a situation like that? Simply go along with it and hope for the best?

"Hello, Fumbi. My name is Kailasa. I'm one of the scouts here in the Graveyard. While this place may be interesting to you, you may want to leave. Whether we hate maned wolves or not, you're still considered prey to us. Therefore, any other hyenas that see you will try to kill you...
And that wouldn't be a good thing, I think."

Nope, not a good thing at all. She would get into a lot of trouble too, as she knew she wasn't supposed to play with her food. Sometimes though, it was just so fun! However, this experience had been rather... Amusing, to say in the least.

He smiled. "Hello Kailasa, it is a pleasure to meet you. " He said calmly, licking a front paw a bit. He tilted his head, grinning at Kai. " Ah, but you are kind-of wrong there. Maned wolves are more usefull to leave alive than eat, because than when we catch something, we can be stolen from. Besdies, most evoid eating what talks. Its awkward. " He nodded, and flicked an ear, as if dismissing the topic.

He paused, and lifted a back paw, scratching behind his ear idly, then sniffing his paw a bit, before looking back at Kailasa. " How are you? "

"I'm.. Alright, I suppose. Kind of been having a rather... Boring day. Nothing dying or quite alive has come this way in a few days. So, it's kind of relieving to see you here."

Watching the maned wolf scratch himself made Kai itchy, and she quickly nibbled at the side of her body, having forgotten about the terrible fleas that existed here. She had just grown so used to them that they simply didn't bother her anymore. How odd.

"And yes, I guess you do have a point. Still, when we need food, we need it.
We can't starve ourselves too much, as the most of us are already skin and bones."

"I see. " He blinked, tilting his head. Bored. When Kai turned to itch, however, he noticed something in her mane. Rather, not in it, out of it. A small gap. Very small, but an odd gap nonetheless.

"What happened to your mane? " He titled his head, chosing not to reply to her last comment. He did't think the hyenas would be starved; afterall, if they needed food, they were right next to the pridelands. Prey wasn't so rare there.

"Huh?" Kai whipped her head around, looking at the brown wolf in front of her. Her silver eyes blinked a couple of times, and then she nipped at her side once more, another itch having decided to be annoying.

"Oh... My mane? Well.. It's a long.. Annoying... Redish.. Story. Some stupid hare came by, tricked me into chasing him, and yanked out a small chunk of my mane, running off with it. Needless to say, I'm not very happy."

"So that why you were unhappy. " He "So that why you were unhappy. " He decided cooly, glad he put both these facts together. His tail flicked with a quiet amusement. "A hare, you say? Hm. Sounds familiar. " He yawned. " What color was it? "

He flicked his tail. He'd heard stuff from a few chattery birds, perhaps this was the sasme thing?

"Some.. Stupid.. Redish-looking hare. I think he was some sort of rust color or.. Something like that. He had no problem with tricking me and jumping up onto my back, very gladly ripping my mane fur out."

Kailasa growled some, remembering that moment. Her ears flattened and her paws braced themselves on the ground. She was SO going to get that hare back for what he did to her beautiful mane!

"Stupid bunny...", she grumbled.

"Reddish, you say? " He perked his ears. He'd been right! " I've heard of said hare. Yes, birds chatter alot. Iva, likes to call himself a hawk-hunter. " He grinned in aamusement. The idea of a hare hunting hawks was hilarious!

"Also a bit of a dare-devil, I suppose. See, he collect hawk feathers-- and other birds. Sometimes, when folks hear of him getting bird feathers, they wanna see if he can get more, from say.. I dunno, lion whiskers, and stuff. Someone probably dared him to get some mane. " He shrugged.

"He's too proud to back down, I guess. Rather unwise. Once overheard a martial eagle bragging about almost having caught him. He was slightly rambling, though. Maybe he should stop."

"Hmmm...", Kai pondered. "Nope. I'm still going to really hurt him when I see him again. I want my mane back. Even if I cna't get it back, I'll kll him. He'll be a nice and tender snack."

Kailasa licked her chops, beginning to get hunrgy. Oh.. The sound of eating fresh hare meat... It souded oh-so good.

ooh, morbid little girl, wasn't this? He smiled slightly in amusement. He did't like the idea of Iva getting killed, he seemed like quite an interesting character, going againt the 'syster' .

" As you wish. I however, must go. As you said, I wouldn't want to get killed. " Fumbi dipped his head politely, and turned to trot off, still looking rather dull. " Good-bye, Kailasa. Good luck with your mane. "
