Ihlo had risen early to go for a walk in the morning sun, and hoped that by the time she'd returned to the family den, her sisters might be awake. But just in case, she settled herself just outside the den's entrance and hummed to herself, an unidentifiable rythmn but still cheerful and melodic none-the-less.
She had plenty on her mind, but she somehow always managed to put her family first. As she daydreamed, she bent and twisted the thin grasses just outside, smiling and giggling to herself in a girlish manner.

Moments passed in silence in the early morning outside of the den until... "Ihly!" a cute, somewhat highish-pitched voice exclaimed as an adorable purple lioness popped up next to her big sister and nuzzled the older lioness affectionately. Huruma giggled and sat back, grinning one of her trademark grins. "Good mooooooorning! How'd you-" she started to say and then looked around, remembering something. "Oh, shhhhhhh," she said, looking back to Ihlo, a paw to her lips. "We must be veeeeery quiet. Momma and Papa are still a-sleeping."

A wide smile spread over Ihlo's maw as the first of her many sisters woke up and approached. She returned the nuzzle with a deep, affectionate rumble and then a lick on the head, messing up some of ehr sister's fur just a little bit.
"Shhh, thats right," she giggled back. "Come on, lets go for a walk and leave mum and dad to sleep."
She stood up and slowly and softly padded away from the den, keeping Huruma close and within her sight.

Huruma giggled as she hopped beside her big sister, soon getting away from the den so that she could be nearly as loud as she wanted to be. "So what are we going to do today? Gonna teach me to fish or are we going to go exploring? Huh? Huh?" she asked, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed despite just waking up. She always liked spending time with Ihlo, because she thought they looked a lot alike, especially since she was the only one of her womb-mates that had the special curl below her eye, just like Ihlo. Huruma treated it as a mark of honor, a special piece of her father that they few would carry on.

"Of course I'm going to take you exploring, what kind of big sister would I be if I didn't take you on adventures?" she laughed at her excitable sister.
Ah, the advantages of being fully grown. As they reached Ihlo's favourite stretch of the Dya'Comi, she made sure to lightly pick her sister up in her mouth and carry her across, despite the water being fairly shallow. She placed her back on terra firma and continued they travels towards the forest.
"We're going into the forest today."

Huruma pouted with having to be carried across the river, but knew that she was far too little to cross it on her own, however she was much too stubborn to let it show. "Awwww, when am I gonna be big 'nough to cross the 'Comi myself?" she asked Ihlo once they reached the side.
The question was nearly forgotten when her sister told her where they were going. She'd never been to the forest and this was definetly a wonderful adventure in the making. Plus, that she knew of, none of her sisters had been across the 'Comi. "Ooooooh! The forest? Sounds great!" she giggled, bouncing a bit and pawing at her sister's nose.

Ihlo laughed at her sister's sense of dignity. She could remember being that small, and how embarrassing it was to be carried everywhere. She was relieved though that her sister didn't dwell on it too much.
"Yep, the forest. But listen Huruma, you have to stick close to me, okay? The forest is pretty big, and if you get lost, it will take me a long long time to find you again," she said in a more stern voice, hoping her sister was a good listener.

"And I'll probably get eated up, too, huh?" Huruma asked, red eyes nearly identical to Ihlo's bright and wide. She liked getting to play with her sisters and Ihly. She didn't want to get eated anytime soon.
Plus, for all her boundless energy and enthusiasm, Huruma did not like being alone. Not. One. Bit. "Don't worry, I'll be right by you. Exploring's not fun by yourself," she added, batting once more at Ihlo's face before bouncing happily around her.

A mischievious smirk spread across Ihlo's face.
"Oh yes, you'd get eated up by big montsers...RAWRWRWRAWR!" she said as she suddenly jumped around to pretend-pounce her sister and pretend to try eating her.
"There, all gone! A tasty treat," she patted her tummy playfully.

Huruma screeched when Ihlo "ate" her up and rolled over onto her back so that she could wave her paws up at her sister. "Oooooo, momma's gonna be mad at you. You ate-ed up her little 'ruma!" she said all "ooooo, spooky-like" as she attempted to roll her eyes back into her head.
The feat wasn't accomplished, for her deep red pupils were still visible. A moment later, she rolled over and hopped up, grinning at Ihlo. "So, are we going, or what?"

"You didn't stay 'eeted' for long," she laughed and continued their path to the forest. It was always a dark place, and full of mystery and a diversity of inhabitants and places to see. Ihlo thought it best to take it easy this time and lead Huruma to a wider, bright opening in the forest.
It was almost as if a herd of elephants had once moved through this part. There was a definite path created by the gaps in the trees on each side, and was a lot less scary to walk through. A lot of sunlight fed through the trees above to create a dappled effect on the two sisters.
"Look at you, you've gone all sparkly," she cooed at her sister.

"I'm just magical that way, you know that," Huruma replied, sticking her little tongue out at Ihlo cheekily. She bounced along beside her big sister, humming a little tune she was making up as they went along under the big trees.
When Ihlo pointed out that she'd gone sparkly, Huruma spun around, trying to get a good look at herself. Her big sis was right! She did get all sparkly! "You too! You too!" she giggled, bouncing up and standing on her back legs, one front paw against Ihlo's leg to keep her upright, the other patting one of the small patches of light on her shoulder.
