His reflection was marred somewhat by the running water and the fish every now swimming through it, never giving the colt a good look at himself. His bi-colored eyes, one red and the other green, stared impassively down at the water running below him. His snout was a few inches away from the surface, scanning the stream for something to occupy his thoughts other than his siblings.
Eponine stuttered, and even though he didn't show it, he was quite worried. It was unfortunate for his sister, despite her being exubrant, had that little fault. He knew his ma was quite upset with it, and he ehard her every now mumble about it to his pa. Though young, Marius could tell his parents were young for parents, and he would try to cause them the least amount of trouble.
Zevach however... The impassive face mirrored in the stream was distorted, his brow furrowing and upper lip curling up a bit with annoyance. The dark colt couldn't undertsand why he acted the way he did! He didn't treat their ma and pa with the respect they deserved... And he was always looking for a fight? The colt snorted and looked away from his reflection, seeing his brother's features in his own face.
He really needed something to muse over.
Because if his line of tought continued, he'd go and look for Zevach and challange him like he often did.
... And ma didn't like that.

Slowly, her form stalked along the riverside, staring off into the distance, as the wide ocean past the beach.
It really was her favorite place to go.. out in the plains, during the day... while it's hot out, with the sun beating down on her, making her sweat, making her have to run, letting her be free in the day... as the different, coastal, salty breezes swept through, filling her nostrils.
A dim smile rest on her maw. It was time for a short break... she'd been running for much too long, having way too much fun, really, trying to do more in a short time, than a normal foal could.
It was.. amusing. Sure, she was mischievous, always getting herself into trouble, one way or another,... but,... along the way, she was learning things. About the different animals around, learning the different places, personalities... She'd actually come to know the land quite well, already.
In that sense, she was like her brother, very wise, in a very... strange way.
After a moment of... being 'spaced out,' Analae's gaze rose, falling on the very stunning form of a black, and light-teal colt, not to far away. She blinked a few times. Zevach? No,... that's not him... A sibling, perhaps? She wouldn't ask... not yet.
Analae just paused, turning, to face the water, much like the young stallion did. She dipped her head down, to get a drink, and possibly, also to get attention.

Marius flicked his tail as he watched the water move, and for a second it looked a bit more distorted than usual, as if something had entered it. Another fish? Or... He rose his bi-colored eyes up along with his head to look around, falling on the drinking filly. He kept his expression guarded, attempting to not show interest though he was curious as to who she might be.
She was obviously here for a drink, but... He looked back down to mind his own business. Would it hurt to say hello? It would durely get his mind off of his brother, that was for sure. He turned his attention back to the white-purple filly, eyeing her curiously though still with caution.

[Like I said in thread, she's still a foal here,]
Her head raised slightly from the water, her eyes closed. "Not very talkative, are ya?" A little grin coiled onto her lips, as her silver eyes slid open, gazing over at the other, watching him.
...He looked... a lot like Zevach. But.. his coat, darker in areas, lighter in others. Quite stunning, much like the other male she knew.

He stared at her impassively, not phased by her words before looking back down at his reflction. "No, guess not." He responded, shrugging. He lowered his head, his dark lips grazing the water surface. He took a few sips, watching her out of the corner of his eyes sneakily behind his small mane curtain.
She was white, like his mother. He seemed to pick that out on fillys, what reminded him of his mother when he looked at them. Though he idolized his father, he... Was in a way, a mama's boy. He liked being at his mother's side. He lifted his head and obviously looked at her, tilting his head. "I guess I'm Marius," He said simply, introducing himself.

Analae tilted her head a bit. "You guess?" she stared at him for a moment, before just shrugging it off. She pondered.
"And I'm Analae..."
Now. "Hey. Marius; You look... a lot like someone I know. You know Zevach, by chance? Like, related to him or somethin'? You two could easily be brothers... 'Cept, you're black, he's more.. Blue." She rambled a tad, before catching herself, blushing a tad. She hated when she started to ramble. She hated when OTHER people rambled... it wasted her time... It also wasted time even when she was the one rambling.
She watched him for a long moment, blinking a few times, taking a quick little drink at one point.

Marius would have liked it if she understood that he was hesitant about saying his name and to not think that he didn't know it. She repeated his words, and it confirmed that that as what she thought. He inwardly frowned at the filly, but that frown became prominent as soon as she spoke again. His eyes narrowed and his jaw set, eyes locked on the light-hued filly before looking down forcefully.
"My brother," He said quietly but audibly, wanting to grind his teeth. It was simply brotherly rivalry that set the two apart. One boy versus another... It would have been so muc easier if Marius had two other sisters or just Eponine. He looked up after a few long seconds, tossing his mane much like his mother did, "What, you talk to him?"

Analae snickered a tad bit. "Talk with him? First I raced him, THEN I talked to him, then we had a bit more fun. That Brother of yours is one Hell of a Mini-Stallion," as she liked to call them.
Her gaze locked on Marius for a long moment, and she pondered. Hmm... he seems more touchy, even than Zevach. she thought.

He cocked a brow and sighed at the name she used for his brother. Yes, that would be appropriate, he mused. He stared back at her confused, curious as to why her eyes stayed on him for such a long time. He glanced down at himself, looking for what she was looking at. Nothing. All he saw was his darkc oat and teal markings.
Looking at her with befuddled eyes, he frowned, "What're you looking at?"

Her gaze rose to the foal, and she shrugged a tad. "Eh.. nothin', Just thinking, I suppose." She said, slowly turning her gaze away from the black and teal colt, to stare off at the sky for a long moment.
"Trying to figure out how you are related to Zevach, truly... He's such an a**, and you.. just don't seem to be one at all..." She murmured.

He gave her a funny look, unamused by her thoughts. One would have thought that her words could be a compliment, but he took it otherwise. Would he be more approachable if he acted in such a manner? Shrugging it off, he took a step towards the filly against his will.
"You should know how siblings dffer," he chimed, glancing away, "Don't you have any?"

"Mmmhmm.... My brother Konu, but me and him get along perfectly well. Sure, my brother is one that loves to learn things the boring way, where I'm one that... well..." She trailed off.
"I'm the one in the family that, to learn stuff, I can't sit there and stare at the sky, or watch the grass grow, -quite literally, in my brother's case-, or stare at a bug. I have to wander away, far from home, and see things, watch them, touch them.... So he's sort of all, boring, if that's how you want to put it..."
Analae paused after a short time. "Ah... rambling. Sorry, I do that... WAY too much." she murmured, shaking her head quickly for a moment.
She sighed. "But anyway... Me and my brother may be almost perfect... and I get how you two are related, but really, think about it; If you where me, and saw you, and then your brother.... you'd probably be a little confused too." She shrugged.

He shook his head frowning at her, "Then I guess you wouldn't understand. Must be nice though, to have a brother you can stand," He looked away to sigh, and then he cast his attention back on the filly. He tilted his head, and once again shook it. Sure, she did ramble, but there wasn't a need to apologize...
"It's okay. Your ramble was... Interesting?" He said, bititng down on his lower lip. "I guess I would, but... As I m not, I do not see how we may confuse you. I apologize for that?" His brows furrowed together, confused himself.

Analae shrugged. "It makes life too boring,... when everyone in your family gets along good? Well, for the most part... sure my parents yell at me, but..." She shrugged. No need to start rambling again.
Analae laughed a bit afterwards at his words. "An interesting Ramble? That's a new one." She said, grinning a bit. Then it faded, and she shrugged. "Nah... don't apologize." She said in a breath.
