I want some feedback, please.
In response to the need for something on par with a drathonian dragoon in combat, Captain Kai Nakamura came up with the concept for an armor system that completely protects the wearer and also enhances performance.

**2 test prototypes currently available, TA-A1 & TA-M1
-The TA-A1 is an assault armor built for long range attacks and weapon accuracy. It posesses advanced targeting systems and precise joints that enhance strength and agility. it is mostly protected against projectiles and lazer weapons. There is a forearm mounted weapon similar to the Ev-47 pistol on the left arm of the armor. it also carries a modified S/GUR that has twice the output oon every mode but is too large and heavy for a regular soldier to carry, the 'MS/GUR' as it shall now be called also heats up to too high of a temperature for an unarmored person to use.
-The TA-M1 is a melee focused armor with armor mostly focused on protecting from bladed and bludgeoning weapons. it is a little bulkier than the A1, but is actually faster and stronger. It's arms have built in blades which, moving at the speed they do, are highly effective against unarmored and lightly armored enemies. The knuckles of the gloves are hardened and sharpened to a point, the ones on the right hand coming to a length of .5 inches, those on the left to 3 inches. the left arm also hase a supersonic pulse generator, which is used to disorient a target before it is hit. A heavy leazer edged sword is used in the right hand as a primary weapon.

I question the need for melee weapons in a universe where projectile weapons are powerful, have good range, and are overall highly effective. I guess the M1 could still serve a purpose, though. The armor has a nice design so far, although the specifications of the armors should be given. At this stage, I still like the design of the MKV more.

Also, These are ideas for some sort of plot device type thingy later..
And, within starship corridors, it's often a bad idea to be shooting. some of our handheld guns are powerful enough to blast holes through a starship's hull (The Sugar for instance) and because some people (possible future players and whatnot) may like the idea of melee combat a bit more than "I shoot u, u ded" type of combat.

These are almost disappointingly overpowered. Maybe do a slower transition to them with an intermediate armor class.

It would be awesome fun tymes to use them
I can see TA-A1 definitely being used on surface battles whereas as you pointed out...the TA-M1 would be great for battles inside starships...
it could also be really cool if some random epic "BATTLE TO THE DEATH BETWEEN DRATHONIAN COMMANDER AND TERRAN COMMANDER DUNDUNDUNNNN" were to happen

If you wanna paint yours red, you can XD
And Ironman looks cool, but it just isn't very military looking. Painting them black, Dark green, or various camo colors would probably be best.

Iron man is hot rod red merely because he doesn't need to hide.
Of course, in this universe, it seems it would be more realistic to have soldiers who don't want to get shot.
