Follow the rules, and PM me the profiles. Walk in without a profile, and DIE! No, just get in trouble.

If somebody provided a setting, this wouldn't be so quiet.

The sun raises over a large plain. Next to the plain is a mountain. Miles is at the top, guarding the gate to hell.

HAPPY MUCH?

Neon signs flickered on and off, making the snow that fell from the heavens glitter. Warm smoke rose into the air, making the oxygen feel thin and used up as you tried to inhale. A she-bat shuffled down the wet sidewalk, her eyes narrowed at the ground.

It wasn't that she was in a bad mood or anything; that was just how she walked. Never looking at what was coming at her. Kicking at the snow beneath her bare feet, she shivered, hugging her warm hoodie closer to herself. Gray, baggy pants hung loosely at her hips, but she didn't seem to mind. Her dark gray fur was matted with a thin layer of snow, the tips glittering a little as the snowflakes melted.

Brushing her black hair from her crimson eyes, she yawned widely, looking up only once to dodge a human that was walking past. Watching her breath rise as fog into the air, she smiled to herself. Winter always made her feel strangely hyper; possibly just her mind telling her she had to move around, or she'd freeze. She winced at the thought, rustling her wings.

Stopping in her tracks, the she-bat glanced up to survey her surroundings. She'd wandered downtown it seemed. She sighed at the unfamiliar feeling that settled in her stomach and made her fur bristle.

The crunching of fresh snow echoed through the alleyway. Labored breathing was heard, with a light gurgle as well. As if someone was choking on blood. "No, no, oh god no!" A roar came from the alley, then the sound of flesh being torn apart and a man screaming in agony. The snow became crimson with blood.

At that very moment, a fox scurried down the sidewalk. His steps matched his heartbeat. He was murmuring to himself in a bizarre language, but it sounded like prayer. His blue fur blended into the snow and the night sky, giving him the appearence of a ghost. His tails flicked back and forth. A huge sheath covered his back, a large broadsword encased. He turned into the alley.

There, on the wall, was the source of the noise. A man hung to the wall on a cross, blood streaming down onto the ground. On the opposite side of the wall, the words "Suffer", "Burn", and "Die" were written in blood everywhere. The fox's ears fell, and he turned away, nibbling his thumb. "Damn." he murmured through his thumb.

The she-bat's ears pricked up at the man's agonized screams. Wrinkling her nose at the smell of blood, she followed the metallic scent deep into the alley. "Hello?" she called, her crimson eyes glowing in the darkness.

"Miles?" She switched her gave to the dead human, then to her friend, then to the words written in blood. Immediately, she got the wrong impression,"What did you...?" she choked out, retreating a few steps.

Miles stared back at her, eyes wide. "..What?" he blinked, looking at the carnage, then back at Shelby. "Shelby, wait!" he said. "Don't get any ideas. I didn't do this.."

A large swirling portal appeared and a green hedgehog stepped out. Its eyes were black and they looked off into space, as if it was seeing something that wan not there.
"I sense a disturbance here. Something that was not suppose to happen happened. Fox. What has happened?" it asked.

"Then.. Who did?" Shelby breathed, swallowing down the lump in her throat. She couldn't take her eyes off the bloody mess until she noticed the hedgehog appear.

"Who the heck are you?" she hissed, narrowing her eyes. Her large ears flared, then pinned to her skull as an instinctive growl erupted from the pit of her throat.

"I am Scoro of the Fifth Circle of Hell. This thing that happened has caused my river, Styx, to flow backwards, carrying the souls of the wrathful and the sloths towards the exit out of Hell. This could cause terrible things to happen to the world of the living. Who are you two?" it asked. "Do not fear the fact that I am from Hell. Satan banished me to the world of the mortals. But when I returned for a second chance in Hell, I saw my river flowing backwards. I don't want the mortal world filled with these sinners. It would be... bad," it said.

"I'm a little used to the whole 'being from Hell' thing.." She muttered, blinking at Miles for a second. "So, what is this thing that's roaming around, then?"
