Introduction
Several hundred years ago, the earth ruptured, releasing a mysterious vapor across the earth. This substance was released from three primary spots on the earth, billowing from the earth in alarming quantities. The humans dwelling on earth at the time found it odd that the vapor was neither poisonous nor healthy, but was co foreign that it could not be studied. However, as humans began to colonize around the fissures in order to study the substance, they began to notice over the years the great changes that the vapor created. Plants and animals in the surrounding area became larger and showed qualities that were fantastic and unique. But the most amazing change was the discovery that as people were exposed to the vapor, they began to develop fantastic abilities beyond human understanding. This power, created by the vapor now called the Zaos Haze, was referred to in the simplest term that could possibly define it: magik.
In the years to follow, the three Haze Fissures would affect even the earth underneath the people’s feet, mixing Haze with the earth, and causing three great landmasses to float into the air. This occurrence led to the new era of the earth, called the Sky Age. With three new kingdoms in the air, and more land floating up, people began to create ships and lifestyles to match the new world. Further study of magik allowed humans to create great airships that could float through the sky with the power of the Haze.
However, with this new power, there came people willing to abuse it. A pirate lifestyle was reborn as people used flying ships to steal and kill for the sake of their own profit. Wicked mages appeared, desiring to destroy or control human life. The three kingdoms created on the sky continents began to fight with one another, as well as with the people on the earth, fighting for control of the magiks available in the other lands.
Finally, on a small island far from any of the sky kingdoms, there has appeared a new threat to the magik world. A mage with powers unheard of ever before has appeared and claimed his desires to destroy the sky kingdoms’ monarchies and conquer the magik world. His powers have created a demonic army, protecting him from the assaults of the sky kingdoms’ armies, and he has sent his followers to destroy his opposition from the inside, causing much panic.
The world is under much stress, and there is much distrust in the world, but there are plans in motion created by all four powers of the earth to bring their own country into complete control of the world.

Setting
This story will follow a storyline for the most part. There will be four parts to the story, one part in each of the cities and a final chapter in the evil mage's floating fortress.
The Three Sky Kingdoms
Valhalla Valhalla is the kingdom known for its study in magikal weaponry. With a great proportion of its mages becoming skilled in the Metal magiks, they've learned to harness the powers of the Haze into their short- and long-range weaponry, making them a formidable foe. They have also developed great armors that can deflect or nullify an opponent's magikal attacks. The city itself was ripped from the earth in a very hilly region with many small cliffs scattering the land. The countryside is covered in farms, as well as inns for people traveling the roads between smaller villages. The capitol of this country lies in the center of the country, upon a large hill, with the grand palace at the pinnacle of the city. The city is called “Odin’s Throne,” and is commonly referred to as the “Giant’s Staircase,” sense the houses slowly rise with the hill, giving the roofs of the houses the appearance of an enormous staircase. The country is ruled by King Heimdal, who fancies himself a god, covering himself with great numbers of the country’s best magik weapons. This amount of weaponry has given him the title of "God of War," due to his unmatched statistics in battle.
Olympus Olympus is well known for its great fleet of airships, and powerful weapons unmatchable in dogfights. While the people of Olympus are not as versed in the ways of magic and weapons as the other two kingdoms, many of them train evenly in both ways, allowing for flexibility on the battlefield. Due to the great advancements in airship technology, most people of this country have machines to increase their mobility in the field, and almost all the citizens in the kingdom have their own airships. The land surrounding Olympus’ capital, Ilium, is a very mountainous and dangerous region. The country uses this to their advantage by living inside intricate and open caverns inside the mountains. With so much space available, nearly all the airships, except for the kingdoms primary armada, can fit in large, hidden aerodomes. The palace of the country is oddly placed, actually jutting out from the bottom of the floating island, hiding it in the vast amounts of Haze that has covered the world. The queen of the country is Pandora, is a woman whose obscure and sometimes insane battle tactics make the country’s citizens question her sanity. She leads the country’s greatest fleet of warships from the flagship, Zeus.
Duat Easily the most advanced country in terms of magikal ability and progress, they hold many secret spells unknown to the other two countries. While not nearly so advanced in offensive and defensive technology and airships, their ability to attack and defend with magic is without peer. Their ability to manipulate magiks and the like allows them to perform spells down to the most difficult level. The power generated from the country’s more powerful mages are capable of destroying entire battalions of soldiers or an entire S-Class airship. The land of Duat is very peculiar. The country is an enormous plain, useful for large farming and cultivation efforts. However, the country’s weather makes the country’s land very unstable. For a great portion of the year, the country experiences pleasant weather, and farming is capable for the whole time. However, for two months of the year, the country’s weather changes into a rainy season, with rainfall for 90% of all time during those months. During those months, those that farm move to the capital city, Thebes to wait out the rain, and let the earth replenish its nutrients. The capitol is strange as well, built like a bowl, allowing the rain from the wet season to flow down into a lake in the center of the city, which drains by floodgates, to keep its level even. The water then drains into the country's Nile River, which spirals around the country, eventually emptying out onto the earth below. This strange land is ruled by High Mage Osiris, the greatest mage in the country, who uses his magiks to keep an eye on the whole kingdom and the area around it, always watching for invasions from Olympus or Valhalla. However, one of his quirks is that he thinks that all technology should be destroyed and magik should become the primary source of power for humans.
The Dark Mage's Fortress Not much is known about the dark mage's dwelling except its location. Any other information is vague or rumor, since all spies and battalions sent to investigate or attack have never returned.

About Magik
Magik has always been an oddity, despite the time and effort put into its study. For some reason, some chemical design in the human genome makes it so that a human’s body will only allow them to use one and only one type of magikal element for their entire lifetime, and that is decided in ways unknown to man. While children may admire a certain element, they are not encouraged to specifically desire a certain element, since the one they will control might not be the one they want. There are five elements that a person can possibly develop: Water, Earth, Wood, Fire, and Metal. Certain kingdoms tend to have more children of a certain element, but a child of any kingdom can have any element.
The Five Primary Elements
Water A magik that requires moisture to use effectively, this magik is capable of healing injuries for some reason. It is unsure why this is, but it is believed it is because of the human body’s high water content. Along with healing, water users can control nearby bodies of water to an extent, as well as freeze moisture in the air and surroundings to produce ice in various ways. Water magik users are common in Duat.
Earth This magik controls the earth and can be used to shape the terrain. Mostly used for defensive measures and such, since experienced earth magik users can change the very makeup of the earth, allowing it to become very hard. Most apprentice earth magik users are taught the ability to levitate rocks for mobility and projectile purposes. Earth magik users are common in Olympus.
Wood This magik is capable of controlling the growth of plants, and is commonly used to accelerate the processes of agriculture. It is also commonly used for assassinations, since the range for wood magik use is much farther than the other elements. The power can be used to ensnare and suffocate enemies with vines, or command dangerous plants to unleash venom on an enemy. Also, wood magik users have developed the ability to merge with trees and move from one tree to another my means of a sort of teleportation, allowing for quick getaways or ambush. Wood magik users are common in Duat.
Fire By far the most dangerous element, fire is capable of great amounts of heavy destruction. The element was found to be the most threatening when unskilled magik users attempted to use it, so many more years are required to effectively use fire magik. However, once trained, fire magik users can control their powers from simply heating water, to creating and banishing walls of fire. Some fire magik users can also use heat to create mirages, allowing them to confuse opponents. Fire magik users are common in Olympus.
Metal By far the most widespread magik used for commercial purposes, this magic can empower metal objects with various attributes. Swords can be made to create shockwaves or lengthen when swung. Armor can deflect bullets, swords, and magik from a greater distance, even when the wearer is unaware of the opponent. Guns can fire bullets that pierce through several buildings, or detonate on impact. Boots can be worn to increase your speed. Metal magik is common in Valhalla.
Strength and Weaknesses Between Magiks
For some reason, it was found that each element has an opposing element that either strengthens or defeats another magic user’s element. Many magik users therefore travel in teams in order to prevail against opposing forces.
Wood parts the Earth Earth absorbs Water Water quenches Fire Fire melts Metal Metal chops Wood
The Dark Element
As for the dark mage, many believe he is the first of his kind to control a previously unknown element: darkness. This unknown element may explain the foul creatures and magiks that guard his fortress. It is uncertain if this element is strong or weak to another, but the power generated by this element is enough to ward away many possible challengers.

Characters
RP any and all desired characters to me via PM, using the subject line “Floating Earth: DRP”
Supporting Country: The country you choose to be from will decide what kind of abilities your character will have. Valhalla: People in Valhalla can choose from a variety of variable weapons and shields to use in battle. However, the developed weapons are far from perfect, and if used too much, shields will overheat and lose their power. Also, some citizens wear special armors that enhance their strength or speed. Developed Metal magik users can also alter their weapons’ abilities on the battlefield. However, people in Valhalla are not very good at magik. Olympus: Each character from Olympus is allowed to have their own personal airship or airbike, and some people enjoy wearing special boots that allow them to propel themselves from place to place very quickly, and can even allow them to levitate several yards in the air. Many citizens use weapons stored in their airships to defend themselves. The people of Olympus do not have access to the special weapons that Valhalla makes, but are more proficient at magic. Duat: The people here carry very small weapons, if any at all, but make up for it with very effective and powerful magiks. The power of their magik can be used for more subtle things, like illusions or traps. Many mages carry around stones tweaked with magik to make escapes or distract enemies. The mages of Duat have some magikal armor and weapons, but none with abilities as advanced as the ones made in Valhalla The Dark Fortress: Only spies and assassins have ever been seen that claimed the Dark Fortress to be their home. Many carry small weapons, and are efficient at using magiks to end their enemies’ lives quickly and quietly.

Upon fleeing to Olympus, her parents raised her in a poor town near the edge of the Kingdom. At an early age, Pandora appeared to be an introverted child, always hanging around a local airship repair hangar. One night, however, the owner of the hangar returned to his shop to find Pandora rapidly repairing and improving a merc’s ship. However, before punishing her, he realized that the work she had done had well exceeded any previously known design, and was many times more efficient. Much to her parents' happiness, Pandora was sent off to the capital, Ilium, to study magik, in an effort to give her a better life. During the years, however, Pandora showed much more talent in building and working on airships then she did at mathematics and sciences. At the age of 15, she was recruited by a military officer to become a mechanic on his ship. During a Valhallan attack, when the ship was heavily damaged and the captain was injured, Pandora began to give out tactical orders to the surviving crew members, telling the crew when and where to fire missiles, allowing for maximum damage. The ship, despite its damage, wiped out the opposing ships and was able to make it back to Olympian airspace. Afterwards, the captain of the ship had her brought in to test her intelligence, and it was found that she had an incredibly high IQ and tactical mind. She was enlisted in the military, and quickly rose through the ranks as a military genius. Despite her disposition, she soon became well-known throughout the whole country, and was regarded as a hero. In a night, however, her status changed completely. An assassin from the newly formed Dark Fortress appeared in Olympus and murdered the entire current Monarchy of Olympus. Before the country could fall into anarchy, however, Pandora sent out troops into the country to maintain the peace, and gathered the country’s politicians to decide upon an immediate replacement. Much to her surprise, however, the council unanimously decided to name her as the new Queen of the country. It was another surprise to the people to find that not only was she an adept military mind, but also very good at political decisions, leading the country into a very prosperous era, despite the war against Valhalla and Duat. She revamped the country’s military, completely overpowering Valhalla’s reign as the leader of airship technology. Personality: Seems very empty-minded and gives off the impression of insanity, but actually is a brilliant military commander and politician. Views wars and battle as a bother. Very poetic in speech and thought. Other: Leads the airship fleet of Olympus from the country’s flagship, the Zeus. Appearance: Long brown hair and blue eyes. Her eyes always give her the appearance of being tired or bored. Medium build. Despite her status as queen, she always appears disheveled except for the most important functions. Upon reaching the age of nineteen he completed work on his personal aircraft, a small ship he had built out of scraps and parts of old junkers; he named the vessel the White Hawk. He used his ship for supply and for the Greater Olympian Traders guild. Tenkyuu's work allowed him to see much of his own country as well as a few parts of the other two countries of Duat and Valhalla. His life seemed to break apart at twenty-three, when he was accused of smuggling weaponry and supplies from the other countries into Olympus' captial region. Everyday, she would wake up to the comforting sounds and smells of the great ocean. she longed one day to sail upon it, and roam the foreign beaches of other lands. One day, she woke up, but something seemed unfamiliar. She walked downstairs, but her mother wasnt cooking. Her father wasnt getting ready to sell fish for their payment. But, when she walked outside, everything became clear. A small scouting fleet for the dark army had come through her town, and murdered every villager there. Lucky as she was, she felt despair for ages on end. A few days later, she finally got the courage to walk down to the beach and wade in the clear water. When she reached there, she noticed an old lady that lived beneath the pier. She watched her silently from afar as she noticed that when she moved her hands, the water moved with her. When she raised her hands, the water rose, and in time, fell again. She went up to her and asked if she could be taught how to do what she had just done. Living on the pier, but never under, she had never seen such rare antics before. The lady made herself known as Rosalie Lenoro, the mage. By the time Zarina was 20, she had honed her magikal skill over water immensely and now, cannot be torn away from it. Her mastery of the skill had become great and she could now control the water in any way she saw fit. Personality: She doesnt talk too much. Kind and courageous most of the time but when on the battlefield, is a strategic mastermind and a fierce fighter. She tends to be a little overprotective of her friends. She doesnt get mad often, but when she does, let's just say it would be better for her to be on the battlefield than around any allies. Other: Nothing yet. Appearance: She stands at about 5'9" and is slim. She has long, thick black hair that is always combed out and flowing, which measures up to her waistline. She has deep violet eyes that sparkle in the sunlight, but mostly by star or moon light. Around her stomach area, she has an average sized tattoo of the chinese water symbol. Gaia Name: SirBayer Character Name: Robert Carter Age: 38 Supporting Country: Olympus Magikal Element: Fire Occupation: Trader/Paramilitary Airship Captain Weapons/Armor: Robert’s weapons are simply a slightly heavy rapier (see pic) and a small handgun. (Not including ship; ship will be in Other.) Bio: Robert was born into a minorly majorly rich family (figure that one out.) who lived on the floating island of Olympus. Their smallish large fortune somehow didn’t go to their heads, however, and Robert always had to work for what he got. This gave him both physical and mental strength, although more the latter than the former. At the age of 19, the Red Vulture was given to Robert by his father (after Robert proved himself, no small task), and Robert has owned the ship since. This ship gave him the ability to roam the skies as he pleased, and he took great advantage of this, buying low and selling high wherever possible. With the money he built up he installed turreted guns on the fore and aft. The age of half-piracy this lead him to has lasted ever since, and he skirts the boundaries of law, staying within them by an inch simply by principle. His exploits have earned him a small sort of fame (not to mention a not-so-small addition to his already not-so-small fortune), and most of those who engage in less-than-legal flying at least recognize his name when they hear it. Personality: Robert is cool and collected in a humorous sort of way. He tends to view things rather lightly, and his sense of humor is a fallback for himself and anyone who wishes for it. As might be gathered from the previous sentence, Robert cares deeply about humanity; it’s hard for him to think ill of a person, and next to impossible for him to hold a grudge. Other: The Red Vulture is just large enough to be lived on for extended periods of time and to carry a reasonable amount of cargo, but it’s built as small as possible for the sake of maneuvering and speed. Maneuvering and speed it has; what it lacks in sheer firepower (it has four medium-small guns) it makes up for it sheer ability to dodge and run away. It’s long and thin, perfect for slicing through the air at high speeds. It carries supplies and ammunition for reasonably extended flights and fights. Appearance:
Gaia Name: kleines_llewellyn Character Name: Karawan Eramhin Age: 20 Supporting Country: Duat Magikal Element: Wood Occupation: Novitiate Vizier, Lecturer for Royal Magik Academy Weapons/Armor: Two wooden disks that he manipulates into several forms (Used primarly for Instruction), which can be seen floating around him. Graduating from the Royal Academy at the age of 14 due to his preternatural and expert manipulation of Wood, Karawan was asked to lecture after a brief abroad stay in Olympus (much to this dismay of his father, who's astranged sister married a Olympian), where he studied Wood Element Battle Techniques at their Academy. He was recently given a Vizier title and lives in Upper Thebes, a short walk from the Academy. Personality: Karawan is quite stoic and known in the Academy as the strictest lecturer. He is also a pacifist and resents his father for pulling strings to get him into the Viziership. He spends most of his free time alone, and desperately wants to connect to someone, but has never been able to. Appearance: Secondary Character Name: Princess Beate Gisela von Valhalla Age: 27 Supporting Country: Valhalla Magikal Element: -- Occupation: Captain of the Rhinemaiden Weapons/Armor: The Priscilla, a gunblade Bio: Although born to the King of Valhalla, Beate was born without a gift. She spent her entire childhood on the lower earth in an attempt for the Haze to enter her body, but to no avail. This is not a secret amongst the royalty, but not talked about, on pain of death. Because of her station, her father has given her control of a small war retinue, but refuses to give her control of greater military efforts because of her "affliction." Personality: Beate is a hard a**, who kills and asks questions later. She's tough, and has had to be, given that she has no magik. She greatly dislikes her father, who refuses to recognize her in court or as a legitimate heir to the throne. Her goal is to win a significant battle with her airship, gain his trust, and then usurp the throne. Other: Princess Beate Gisela is known to those most dear to her as Bebe. Her lady in waiting, Lady Andora, is an expert Metal user and does Beate's bidding to make up for her lack of magik. Appearance:

Gaian Name: Captain Geno Character Name: Thorik Lokiago Age: 34 Supporting Country: Valhalla Magikal Element: Metal Occupation: Valhallen Air Fleet Commander; Pilot Weapons/Armor: Specially crafted, magik-infused, triple-plated titanium armor, specifically designed to cover his burnt body, and to withstand more damage from fire magik than normal magik metal. His blade is called the Butcher, as it almost always takes the form of an elongated butcher knife. Over time, he has developed a special connection with his weapon, so that in two blinks of an eye, he can change the blade's shape and form, while still retaining the micron-thin edge it has. Bio: Thorik actually grew up in Olympia, where he stayed till the age of 20. His parents had abandoned him as a kid, shunning him and his metal magik. He grew up on the streets, doing what he had to, to survive, until he decided he was fed up with hiding all the time. He 'acquired an airship, and headed to Valhalla. Unbeknownst to him, a fire-using thief had snuck on board. He thought they were going to Duat, and had planned to strike, and steal the ship when they were landing. After seeing Valhalla through the window, the thief panicked, and bombarded Thorik with flames. Burning alive, Thorik could do nothing as the ship fell through the sky, and crashed straight into Heimdal's Throne Room. The guards immediately killed the fire mage, who was already dieing from the crash, and found Thorik in the wreckage. He was immediately taken into Hospice, with 10% of his body mass burned away, but somehow, still alive. The King ordered his scientists to use him as a test subject for their latest Metaugment experiments. They had been devising a new type of armor, made of Titanium, which was lightweight, but durable, especially against fire, friction and heat. It had been magically enhanced; to not only increase its durability, but also its flexibility, in order to be body-tight, to not inhibit movements on the battlefield. They grafted plates of this armor directly onto his flesh, in place of the skin and hair that would never grow back. After recuperation from the incident and the surgery, Thorik was indebted to the King and his country for saving his life, and for gifting him with the armorsuit. He enlisted into Valhalla's Air Fleet, and quickly rose through the ranks, being an expert pilot from Olympia. He is now the commander of the King's fleet, and answers directly to him. Thorik does not like the way Heimdal is acting lately, and has decided that his loyalties lie with Valhalla, and not its King. Personality: Complicated. He can fit into a subordinate role or a position of power easily. He only very slightly cares about how he looks, and has adjusted to having metal for skin. Other: The only other person with the same type of armor is Heimdal himself, as it is very expensive, rare, and extremely hard to make. He can alter his metal skin slightly with very little magik, allowing him to regulate his temperature, and even let himself feel things. He commands the flagship Michael, and his personal craft is called The Hammer. The Hammer is very agile, and can reach a top speed of 500mph. It is equipped with 8 short-range computer-guided missiles, a middle-strength energy blaster, a rocket-propelled tracking device, and an ultra-high beam headlight. Appearance: Thorik Lokiago / Michael / The Hammer: [X]~[X] Secondary Character Names: Erich Mars, Heidi Veltina, Marco Fione Ages: Erich: 25, Heidi: 23, Marco: 41 Supporting Country: Valhalla Magikal Element: N/A Occupations: Special Forces Unit: IronHound; Erich: Leader, melee combat specialist; Heidi: Stealth and light weapons; Marco: Heavy weapons, demolitions. Weapons/Armor: Erich: 3½ft bladed broadsword, with magic-augmented edges/ Valhallen Army standard magik-augmented cuirass, gauntlets, and boots. Heidi: Customized, collapsible 50mm sniper rifle, and customized, silenced energy pistol with multiple settings, and several concealed knives/ Tailored bodysuit for stealth and flexibility. Marco: 3 hand grenades, Mortar-Shotgun, each shell of which fires about 10 delayed-explosive pellets, a long-range rocket launcher with 4 single-loadable rockets, and several packs of a homemade explosive, similar to C4, but twice as powerful/ Multi-layered nanofiber jackets and pants, topped with a few plates of non-augmented titanium, one on each shoulder, knee, and boot. Bio: IronHound was once the most feared Special Forces squad of the Valhallen Army, even though not one of them can use magik. They were though to be dead by King Heimdall and the Royal Guard, in a ploy similar to Princess Beate's. They now serve in the ranks of Sir Thorik Lokiago as his personal 'important missions' group. They switched sides more than willingly, not only to get away from Heimdall, but they now see more action, as well. Personalities: Erich is relaxed most of the time, and is good friends with Thorik, and his team. Heidi is odd. She acts like an exited schoolgirl most of the time, but when it comes to stealth, there is no one better. Marco is the strong, silent type. He rarely speaks, and when he does, it's either profound, funny, or badass. Other: Each one of the members of IronHound has their own, personal aircraft. Marco prefers his small ship to an airbike, as it can hold his large weapons better. Appearances: Erich Mars, [~Airship~] / Heidi Veltina, [~Airship~] / Marco Fione, [~Airship~]
Gaia Name: FreedomOps Character Name: Gabriel Elohim Seraph Age: 19 Supporting Country: Olympus (He only lives there) Magikal Element: Metal Occupation: Airship Mechanic/Inventor Weapons/Armour: A sword, a pistol, and his mechanic's tools. Bio: Gabriel is a semi-renowned airship mechanic. His parents passed away in an accident but Gabriel isn't haunted by this. He can pretty much fix anything given a little time and an appropriate fee but his true passion is inventing. He is a mathematical as well as a mechanical genius. Personality: Calm, Quiet, Collected Other: He has invented a mechanical pair of wings that fold up to the size of a small backpack that he wears all the time. The 'feathers' of these wings are all made of metal and are all sharpened allowing for them to be 'shot'. These wings have earned Gabriel the nickname "Mech-Angel" Appearance:
Gaia Name: Thaesimir Character Name: Darrin Merl Age: 38 Supporting Country: Born in Duat, supports no country. Completely neutral so he can sell to everyone. Magikal Element: Fire Occupation: Merchant to the lands Weapons/Armor: 2 .45 calibur pistols holstered under his arms, dagger kept sheathed at his side Bio: Born and raised in Duat, Darrin has always had a love for the world. When he was finally old enough, he joined a merchant's company so he could travel the world. Soon, he had built up enough money to start his own traveling company, Darrin's Traveling Emporium. DTE sells anything from weapons and armor, to clothing. Anything you want, DTE has it. He has even sold his wares to the occupants of the Dark Fortress. He refuses to choose sides. He prefers to remain neutral in the world so he can travel freely. Anyone who is found to support anything other than neutrality is fired from the DTE because he won’t risk any anger from the kingdoms. Personality: Darrin is normally a laid back guy, and it takes a lot to anger him. He loves traveling and meeting new people, and most people enjoy his company. His closest friends travel with him, and he has many contacts in many lands, including all three sky kingdoms and the Dark Fortress. Other: Darrin owns 2 airships, the Jackie Marie and Pluto’s Revenge, that he uses to store and transport all of his goods. He also owns 3 air bikes, and prefers to ride them over any other means of transportation. All three of them are modified for speed and endurance. Appearance: Darrin weighs in the vicinity of 200 lbs. and is 6’3”. He always gives the feeling that even though he is big, he isn’t dangerous. This could be farther from the truth. He is always wearing nice clothing. Whether he has a button um shirt, slacks, and a sports coat, or a full fledged suit, Darrin is a very fashionable guy.
Gaia Name: Hsivat Bighat Character Name: Corves Deus Age: He doesn’t remember anymore but his real age is 22. Supporting Country: None Magical Element: not developed yet or non-existent Occupation: Escaped convict/ pirate and assassin Weapons/Armor: Corves doesn’t posses weapons at present due to his recent escape and he prefers not to have armor. Bio: Corves was born on the lower sides of Olympus literally out on the mountains. His father was a scavenger searching the bodies of crashed ships from air battles. Given his father’s nature Corves and Marius (his father) moved from place to place on an old garbage air ship selling spare parts for money. Though Corves loved his father and enjoyed his company when he was sober, Corves hated his father when he drank which was often. Marius became an alcoholic after his wife, Eva, died while giving birth to Corves and always seemed to blame Corves for it when he became intoxicated. Eventually, after years of living on the edge of starvation with his father, Marius died in a scrap when Corves was 15. From there Corves had to learn to fend for his self and continued scavenging until he could find better jobs. After about a year he completely stopped his old habits and now was involved in a pirate gang who would ambush airships. After three years of pirating the authorities of Olympus decided to take action and hunt them down. After many battles and narrow escapes the group headed to the one place they knew that the Olympians wouldn’t follow, the dark mage fortress. Eventually, the Olympians let off and the group found themselves costing along trying to find a place to land and repair. Corves does not remember much of what happened because he was down in the bottom of the ship trying to rest for the next battle but what he did see he remembers vividly. He was lying in his cot when the darkness seeped in and he couldn’t see the dark magic seep in and kill his fellow crewmembers, but he could hear the screams. After a period of time, when the screams had stopped all he could hear was the sound of his own rushing blood wondering when he was going to be next. However, that time never came. He laid there for what seemed for days trying to find his way out of the darkness until he couldn’t fight the need for sleep anymore and passed out. He awoke to a dark and dank cell where he heard new screams and sounds of torture. Every twelve hours he would receive food from a slit underneath the door. He only knew the amount of time between the cells because after his thousands of failed attempts to escape all he had left to do was count the seconds to the minutes to the hours. He doesn’t know how old he is because eventually he gave up on counting and would lay and hope he would die. After years of this he came up with a plan to escape that would finally work. With the bowl they served his food on he fashioned a knife in between meals and waited for the unknown unseen hand to ask for his bowl. When that happened and he heard the cold emotionless voice he grabbed the hand and pulled the man down to the ground and his arm all the way through the slit till he could reach his throat. He had to move quickly and precisely. He severed the parts of the man in the dark kill he found the keys to the door. Then, by dislocating his arms and his left leg, squeezed his body through the slit till he could reach the lock where he relocated one of his arms and unlocked the door. Although he unlocked the door he lay there for an hour or two recovering from the pain and relocated the rest of his joints. From there he went outside into more darkness and with his now keen ears stumbled around until he found a door to the outside area. Although he had escaped it had come with a terrible price. When he opened the door to the outside world where he could see the dull sun, his eyes were too used to the dark that his eyes burned and it made him go blind. From there Corves used his sense of touch and hearing to fumble along the ground he walked upon. Between delirious illusions in his mind and the close insanity that threatened his mind, Corves does not remember much. He knows that somewhere he found an air bike and rode for a great length of time. Eventually in his state of exhaustion and the need to find a place to sleep he heard the sounds of an air ship. He didn’t really have a choice as to whether or not to land given his situation. Guiding him with his fantastic hearing and the feel of the wind, he managed to head towards the Jackie Marie. However stealthy he may have wanted to be, he was very tired to the point of passing out and no one could hide an average air bike from the sensors surrounding a ship. Darrin Merl, once hearing that there was an approaching bike at a rapid pace, sent his men to intercept the bike and bring him in. Corves was careening towards the ship at almost full speed and the men under Darrin had no choice but to open the bay doors and try to stop the bike from the inside or risk an impact on the side of the ship. The air bike slid into the hangar and crashed into the wall totaling the old piece of scrap metal. The men, angry and frustrated, went to the man found damaged on the ship and realized that he had become unconscious in mid-flight and was not aware that he was rocketing to his possible death. Darrin was faced with a problem. He could either dump the man and move on or try to help him. After much debate of self-interest and moral standards, Darrin decided to help him mainly out of curiosity of where he came from and why he was there. Though he tried often to get the blind man to speak, Darrin could not manage to bring him to consciousness long enough to speak with him. Now Corves sleeps in the ship recovering from his years of torment. Personality: Corves is a quiet man on the most part preferring to listen instead of talk. He prefers quick efficient action on the most part but will listen to people’s suggestions whether or not he respects them. Corves does not like rude people and will often try to show a rude man when he should not talk by force. Corves’s often says to many that he prefers to kill the rude instead of the nice if at all possible. Corves remains very loyal to his employers and will stay working for just one for extended periods of time. Although his immense loyalty and cool, positive attitude, Corves is unfortunately insane from his years in the dark. He often sees recurring characters in his mind that talk to him but he knows that he is blind and to ignore them. Other: Just in case future finds it necessary to know what Corves is capable of I will list off his powers and flaws. His powers may be large but so are his flaws. Physically, Corves would almost make the perfect infiltrator, spy, or assassin. He is extremely strong, his speed is very quick, and his agility has been unmatched by many. The senses he still possesses are extremely well developed to the point that many would consider it in human. However the strength of these senses, it also creates problems for him. His ears are very sensitive and things like high pitched dog whistles and things like that hurt him badly. He is blind and that creates obvious problems although he has managed to still be very good with a gun and remarkable with a blade. His hearing makes up for most of what was lost with his sight but he cannot read now. Mentally Corves is highly intelligent and reactive but not book smart. He has what many would call street smarts and a load of common sense. Corves is also plagued by the curse of insanity. He still hears the whispers from the darkness years ago and sees people in his mind that talk to him. The foremost and most major flaw is that Corves seems incapable of the use of magic. He cannot cast spells in any shape or form so his physical prowess tries to make up for the flaw. Appearance: Corves is a around 6’3 weighing about 120 pounds due to being starved. He has toned body that is very pale that mach his silver blind eyes. He has long black hair that he would normally put back in a ponytail.
Gaia Name: BlackCatSpaz Name: ((Commonly known as Sanura Atmet of Lower Duat )) Lady Sanura Sekhemet Bastet, the Burning Lioness of the House of Osiris Age: 18 Supporting Country: Duat Magikal Element: Fire Occupation: Hidden Daughter of the High Mage, Emissary of Osiris Weapons/Armor: Sanura arms herself with twin scimitars, their hilts each styled with a crescent moon and a burning sun. They are more for appearance’s sake and a last resort than for actual use as she relies mainly on her magic. She also carries a powerful Valhallan handgun, a gift from a friend and a small trinket to spite her father, the High Mage who detests technology. She is protected also by Valhallan magic resistant armor, clothing that does not burn up when she uses her magic full force. Bio: Sanura, daughter of the High Mage, was born in secrecy. Concerned that any family or other personal ties could be used against him in the war Osiris retained the aloof air of the High Mage throughout her childhood, even after her mother was killed by a Valhallan raid on the outskirts of Duat. Brought up from the age of six by the teachers of the Lower Academy of Duat, when Sanura was twelve she was informed of her Heritage before the Vizierate after it had been demanded within the council that an heir be named by the High Mage to secure their leadership in the unlikely event of his death. Angry with her newfound father, her naturally wild and curious nature was twisted into a spiteful rebellion against her elders. None were surprised when her powerful magic manifested itself in the form of fire, no matter how uncommon the power was in Duat. An incredibly intelligent child, Sanura plunged full force into her studies after being transferred into the Royal Academy on ‘Terms of Excellence’. While remaining aloof and standoffish to her teachers, however well she performed, many people wondered why this strange and violently temperamental girl had been admitted to the prestigious school. Completing her tutelage years earlier than her peers, Sanura was then sent to study abroad as an ambassadorial student in both Olympus and Valhalla. Feeling freed from the watchful eyes of her powerful father as well as the scorn of those she had offended Sanura became more relaxed and carefree, less prone to her most cruelly cutting and snide remarks although she still had her temperamental tendencies. With her brighter, more caring side free to take hold she was quick to make friends in both nations. One could say that her scorn of father, and in an indirect sense Duat, enabled her to be more accepting of those different from herself in upbringing and culture. While studying in Valhalla, Sanura obtained a love of technology; a childlike wonder denied her in the magikally saturated environment of Duat. It was there that she received a simple gift of a Valhallan handgun, an item she wears proudly on her person at all times with the added bonus of angering her father. After her stay in Valhalla she went then to Olympus, this time staying with a Duatian woman who had married an Olympian Airship engineer. Although initially suspicious and standoffish to the woman, Sanura was quickly won over by her very Olympian personality and they became the best of friends despite the large age difference. After three years away from Duat, Sanura returned home at the age of seventeen. As a parting gift, her Olympian friends had made her the gift of a small aircraft, styled after a winged lioness. Upon her return to the Duatian capital of Thebes, Sanura was summoned by Osiris in secret. It was here that he gave her an ultimatum. He had watched her and observed her magically in her studies, and demanded that she do her duty to Duat or be banished to the Lower Earth, severing all ties with the nations of the sky. Still the hidden child and secret heir of Duat, Sanura now serves dutifully as an Emissary of Osiris, she is his ‘official’ eyes and ears among the other nations, currently trying to determine the level of threat that the dark fortress makes to her nation. Personality: Literally a split personality dependant on who she is with, Sanura can be good-natured one moment and spitefully angry the next. She is generally mistrustful, but can be won over with time, at which point she is the most loyal of friends and companions. Clever and intelligent, she has a relatively open mind when there’s a problem that needs solving, even if she spurns the source of the suggestion. Other: She has a small, Olympian aircraft that seats three but is powerful enough to carry more. Styled after a winged lioness, her ship the HieroSphinx has given her the title of the Burning Lioness, a sight to behold when she channels her magic through and around its hull. It is built for speed, and with an almost cat-like maneuverability it is a good match for Sanura as a pilot. She generally travels alone, her friendships in the other nations carrying a protective weight for her as an ambassador, and as one person she is much less of a threat. Appearance: Her wild naturally dark colored hair has been dyed to resemble tendrils of a burning flame. Light thin wisps of reds and oranges paired with her natural color and a few pale hints of silvery white flicker and dance around her angular face, best described as an almost feline shape. Her sharp, piercing eyes are an icy silver color in stark contrast with her warm and wild hair, cut to her chin in front and progressively shorter in back. At 5’8” Sanura’s tall, slim frame is by no means as fragile as it looks. Generally found wearing a dark blue, fitted vest fastened down the front with simple silver metal clasps that reaches mid-thigh over a black undershirt, her clothing is dark and flattering. The vest also has silver trimmings to accent her eyes, as does her belt and pants. She also wears a long, slightly lighter blue cloak with billowing sleeveswhen she travels, long and regal to fit her position. She generally takes it off when working or when she's not in a formal setting.

King Heimdall gazed at his creation, and laughed aloud, for all the scientists, technicians, and mages in the room to hear. “This is it!” he cried aloud. “This is the true weapon! This is my gift to Valhalla, a gift from god! With this glorious testament to our noble abilities, we shall carry our armies to those wretched fools in Olympus and Duat and conquer them!” A roar echoed through the room and was heard through the entire palace. “With this, our armies will devastate the opposing forces, as though they were nothing! The reign of the god Heimdall begins today, and at last the world will truly belong in the hands of the most worthy: MINE!” The thunderous applause shook the palace and rolled over the whole city, like a clap of thunder. “Now, prepare all battleships! In two days, we fly to Olympus and obliterate that foul witch Pandora and her precious fleet! And as for our weapon,” he said, looking at his precious machine, “put it on the warship Nidhogg. With the power of the Epiphany Charger, my ship will be invincible!” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Arilam paced back and forth inside the Queen’s throne room. He had never been here before, and the surroundings could definitely be described and intimidating. Across the walls were numerous photographs taken during some of the Queen’s less successful campaigns against the other two nations, Duat and Valhalla. Arilam wasn’t entirely sure why the Queen had chosen losses to coat her walls with, but the effect was depressing. However, what made him the most frightened about this visit was the floor. Underneath his feet was thick glass plating, spanning dozens of yards in each direction. Billowing below him was a stretch of threatening storm clouds, occasional lightning streaking across the sky. Arilam was sure the Queen hadn’t set it up that way, but having heard of the Queen’s… oddities, he could honestly say he wouldn’t have been surprised. “Her majesty, Queen Pandora will see you now,” the receptionist told him. Entering the main sanctum of the Queen, the change of decorum only made the atmosphere worse, as the only difference was that the photographs were even more gruesome then the room before.
“Ah, you’re here then,” a voice called from behind a large, broken airship model. From behind the model appeared Queen Pandora, wearing a messy pair of overalls and carrying a collection of assorted tools in her pockets. She had long red hair and bright, alert blue eyes. Arilam could easily have described her as beautiful, were it not for the tired-looking face, aged by stress and sleepless nights. “I assume you’re wondering why I called you here, then?” she asked Arilam. “Yes ma’am,” Arilam replied. “First off, how much dead weight can that airbike of yours, the Ninth Gate, carry? Long distances, I mean.” “About 3 tons if I’m not carrying much else.” “Good to hear, good to hear,” the Queen said enthusiastically, pacing around to her desk. “That just might be enough.” “Enough for what, ma’am, if I may?”
“I want you to go into the heart of Odin’s Throne in Valhalla and steal a top secret device of King Heimdall’s that has the ability to annihilate our country. It most like weighs a ton or two, so I’ll need you to latch it onto your bike, with only a minimal amount of food and ammunition to keep yourself alive, and fly it all the way back here to Olypmus so that we can study it and use it against them.”
Arilam stared blankly at the Queen for a moment before forgetting his manners, “Are you nuts?” “Oh, yes, quite certainly.” “How is one person supposed to pull off this kind of caper? Much, less, one untrained mercenary with a single airbike?” “I think the main question is, how could it be done otherwise.” “Huh?” “Listen to me Arilam. Sending a larger group of people is too dangerous. Groups tend to stand out more in this time of war than a single man, so you would be enough. As for you being untrained? Soldiers have certain traits and characteristics that stand out, and can be easily spotted by opposing forces. Therefore, a mercenary that can blend in without catching a trained eye is much more effective than any soldier in my army.” Arilam had his doubts, but it seemed the tales of the queen’s strategic logic was truly as grand as the rumors of her insanity. “Very well, my Queen.” “Good, now get out of here, there still much for me to do.” Arilam was taken aback by her abruptness, but left all the same, musing over how he was to pull something like this off.
As he left, the Queen smiled to herself. “I may have lied a little, when I said you’d be alone. I find that small groups tend to confuse the enemy more when all the groups are working differently. Now, who else to send?”

The buzing was iritatingly loud, singing through his head like some sort of overgrown wasp. His eyes opened slowly and he looked at the source of noise, the small clock on the edge of his bunk. It took him a moment to remember where he was and what he was doing earlier.
"Ugh, I hate docking protocal." He muttered sitting up from the bunk aboard his airship.
It was standard protocal at docking station in Olympus to send a small static report to the dock-master every six hours a ship is docked. Rubbing the sleep from his eye he moved to the head of the cabin and through the threshold to the cockpit of the ship. The doors slid open and he took a seat on the pilot's chair, typing in the stats needed in the report. Just as Rannek was about to send the report he felt the entire ship rock violently. Red-lights blared in the cockpit and he opened the ships foreward windows to see what was going on.
The view that greeted him was unexpected; another bomb going off across the docking station. Rannek didn't waste time in wondering what was happening, he punched in the codes needed to take off and start up the engine. The White Hawk took off from the docking bay in a high-pitched roar. He flipped on the radio to see if anyone knew what was happening.
"Docking station S one seven what is your statis?" Came a voice from radio frequency.
"Unknow enemy attacking the docking bay sir, requesting some form of aid." Shouted the voice of a dock-master, another thunderous boom could be heard behind him.
"Damn am I glad I woke up when I did." Rannek said in a low voice, switching off the radio and gunning the engine.

Robert hadn't quite expected the Queen to summon him herself. He'd already made it down to the waiting room, looking around, wondering exactly what he was doing here. Passing a man wearing a blue overcoat and a flak jacket, Robert started to create theories. Why the Queen would be meeting with someone who looked like a mercenary was questionable. Generally people started going to individuals when they needed something done that large groups wouldn't work with. What would that be?
Robert wasn't sure, but he was expecting something strange...
