God dammit! It wasn't that he had expected to find books on magical techniques to be easy, but so far every book store he had gone into the clerks had given him very odd looks, and then directed him towards Wicca books that had nothing to really do with what he wanted.

His shockingly blond hair seemed to jar against his rather orange/brown skin and his head looked back and forth staring at the spines of the books as he walked past them. His hands were in his shorts pocket, his water bottle firmly attatched to his hip with a keyring. His sandeled feet padded on the carpeted floor noisely. The flip and flop sounding with each move.

Today he wore a very thin muscle shirt, sicne he was going everywhere he didn't want to overheat too quickly.

Tyven was, for once, not in training gear, and instead was wearing civillian clothes, which incidently showed off her startlingly good fashion sense. The extremely tall preteen had her hip propped against a bookshelf, one foot crossed in front of the other. Minus her dragon bond, the thing that was gathering attention now was probably her colorful hair, much like poor Chath.

In a sleek, form-fitting black coat to her mid-thighs, with brass buttons, a white, purple-stripped button-up from the Gap, black, slim slacks, black gloves and black, knee-length boots, Tyven looked sharp. Like usual. The daughter of Rapier and Jem and younger sister of Cleo wasn't one to go out without looking good.

Flicking through a book on mastering the mind and body through the meditative arts, she found her peace of mind repeatedly disturbed by a rhymthic slapping on the carpet. Footsteps. Flip-flops, it seemed. God, she hated those.

Frowning slightly, the lavender eyed girl glanced up from her large book, and caught sight of him. Familiar. D-corp? Yes. To take a peek at those eyes of his. It wasn't often that the children had inhuman eyes, but he did. Much like her slit-pupiled ones.

She didn't say hello.

Chath caught sight of something distinctly purple our of the corner of his eye. If it weren't for the fact that, that particular color seemed so out of place in the rows of books he probably wouldn't of stopped. He blinked a couple times as he gazed at her tall and lithe form.

He deserved a break from his search didn't he? He could always continue on later after he talked with the girl. He vaugely remembered her, though he couldn't pull a name out of the depths of his mind so he assumed he hadn't really met her before.

Making his way towards her he tried to tone down the flip flopping of his shoes to no avail. Sandels jsut did that...unless you were moving horrendously slow. He put on a smile that was genuine as he approached he hoped he wasn't bothering her, but she seemed studious. Mayeb she would have an idea of where he could look for books on magic.

"Excuse me." he started allowing her to respond before continuing.

One arched eyebrow rose in response, and she slowly closed the book, turning to place it on the shelf and face him once more in one smooth motion. The newt-boy. He was Zyanya's brother, she knew. Jem had liked him when he was still a boy and Tyven a toddler.

"Yes?" No smile, her low, just a smooth voice wasn't cold, or rude though. The fact that she'd shut her book was actually rather friendly of her. Did he need help? She was a frequent patron of this bookstore/coffee shop. It was quiet, out of the way, but close to her favorite gym. She was relaxed here. Non-defensive.

Tilting her head, the predatory girl examined him, without modesty or self-conciousness. "I know you."

Chath's smiling form and the way he casually held his body showed that he was relaxed and not on edge at all. He nodded his head as she addressed him it was nice to be reconized he supposed..but then again when you came from D-corp you could basically pick the children out really easily.

"Yes, and I know you. Though I don't think I have ever sopken to you before. Name is Chath." He sid as he offered a nod in her direction, he tended not to offer his hand for a hand shake since his fingers were the most sensitive part on his body. He rocked on his heels for a moment and straightened he had been leaning over slightly to be closer to eye level with Tyven...but her being so tall he didn't really need to lean over at all.

His youthful body showed signs of intense training even for his age, curerntly there were pock marks in his arms that lead up to his shoulders, curious disfigurment only one who knew he owned a black could of fathomed that thos holes in his skin were caused from acid.It didn't seem to bother him, already fresh skin was healing and filling in the holes.

"Hey sorry I bothered you, but you look like you know a lot about books. mind if i ask you a question?" he asked tilted his head slightly to one side, and shifting his weight to one side, the water bottle josteled at his hip.

"Tyven Reever."

She liked his greeting and returned it with a slight smile, he was respectful. Casually examining him, she noted the muscle, recognizing someone who studied the physical arts as she did. "No, we haven't spoken."

Straightening rather than continuing to lean on the book shelf, she revealed herself to be quite a bit taller than him, but obviously didn't seem to think anything of it. A gloved hand went through purple hair as she thought, silently, face blank again, and then she shook her head. "No, I don't mind."

Well she sure was a to the point sort of person Chath noted though he didn't mind in the slightest. Rolling a shoulder, an unconcious habit of his, there was the sound of bone clicking back into place before his arm setteled back to hi side.

"That is a nice name. Do you want me to call you Tyven? Or do you prefer Ms. Reever?" He asked wanting to keep on polite terms and since this girl seemed very mature for her age he was unsure of a proper way to address her.

"And thanks for helping me. I was wondering, do you know of any places or bookstores that carry books that focus on the magical arts? And not Wicca...I have been directed to numerous.... uh .....studies of that craft." He asked clearly sounding a bit tired by the end, it did sound like he had been around in circles for the past couple of hours.

Chath's gaze discretly sized the girl up, she was about 5'10" much taller than he was at the moment and well built. She must train pretty routinely as well, he felt a common connection in just this fact and his eyes didn't even linger or hesitate on her developing boosom. He had no real interest in those anyway.

"No, but I do know one of D-corp's magical instructors personally." The fact that she even mentioned that, and didn't just respond in the negative really meant that Chath was on her good side. Her good list, which was incredibly small.

"Tyven is appropriate."

Deciding she did indeed want the book she'd been reading, she reached back and removed it from the shelf without breaking eye contact, then raised her brows slightly. "I'm going to get something to drink in the cafe portion of the shop, if you would like to join me. They don't have much in the way of what you're searching for here, but Professor Jetter might have something of interest."

Chath perked at the name Jetter and nodded his head in interest. "Wow that is pretty cool, I believe I had a class with him once. My main magic instructor is Mr. Barkhelm, though I am not sure how soon he will be able to teach me more on magic since my sister told me that he collasped in her class." He said in casual chit chat as he followed Tyven's example and didn't break eye contact though he was curious of the book she had withdrawn from the shelf.

"Sure, don't drink much in the way of coffee but a nice glass of water would suit me fine." he agreed to the meeting, it was nice to have a more 'grown up' conversation with this girl, he looked over his shoulder, finally breaking eye contact mainly to gain his bearings.

"afriad your going to have to lead the way, I am unfamilar with this bookstore." he said with an embaressed sort of laugh.

"Interesting."

A slight smile and the preteen lead the way to the other half of the store, purchasing her book and placing their orders before sauntering over to a small table with a chessboard and taking a seat. Smoothly sliding her book [Discipline Through the Meditative Arts] into the black satchel she'd had with her, Tyven nodded slightly to the seat across from her own, inviting Chath to join her.

"I have yet to take a magic course, myself."

A moment later, their beverages arrived, and she raised an eyebrow at him. "You train often." It wasn't a question.

Chath didn't mind having his beverage ordered for him he followed her and took her cue to sit down. Arranging his limbs so that he leaned on the table, and his legs were tucked under his chair he blinked his large newt eyes taking in the girl before him.

She was nice. Quiet a tad solemn but still nice. He reached for his drink and hesitated a moment before putting the cup to his lips. He then put the glass down and wiped the back of his hand against his lips before sighing bit.

"well when it comes to magic I find you either get it or don't. I am in the later category, I find using magic very difficult." he said before taking another sip. Water was something he could never get enough of it seemed.

He gave a low laugh as she pointed out the obvious. "Yah your right, guess it is easy to tell huh?" he said looking down at a well muscled arm before looking back up at her.

"Same with you I gather?" His was a question for he didn't want to seem impolite and just assume.
