Im thinking about quitting Gaia. Again. But like, actually never returning.
That was my problem last time I quit. I kept coming back to check on people/things..and just got sucked in again.
Ever feel overwhelmed? Like you have a dozen different things you'd like to be doing in your free time..but you never seem to have that little tidge extra to actually relax enough to enjoy it all?

Aye. Twasnt intended to be one of those whiny 'Im sooo gonna quit..unless you all ask me to stay' threads. Sorry if it came off as such.
Just felt like getting it off my chest and seeing if anyone ever felt the same way.

Yeah, I hate those threads. I will quit eventually because ever one does, but for now, i don't think I will.

I've considered quitting a million times.

I'm terrified that I'll come back and have the lowest post count in Gaia.
Ridiculous, I know, but sadly true.
Most of the times I've considered quitting is when I'm under mucho stress.
I start to think "NO! I'm wasting too much time on Gaia!"
And so I consider quitting.
But...I just can't quit gonk

I once or twice quit Gaia. And then came back to see how everyone was doing.
I don't think I'll ever quit Gaia.

I quit for a while back in 2003. I joined for a few weeks when the site was brand new, set up my character all pretty, and for some reason I just left. No notice or nothing. Don't know why... but it was kind of cool when I came back last year, set up this account, went "omg wait, didn't I already have an account?" So I checked it and found messages from December 2003 asking me where I went and if I was ever coming back. I even found a trade someone set up and then canceld. It was kind of nice. :3
Now I'm here because I'm bored and have nothing to do again. (Thank you, College. XD )
So whatever you decide to do, it's up to you. But yeah, we'll like, miss you and stuff. crying

Yeah. I joined, and then stopped going on while i was still "noobish" and new. I didnt go on for like, a year. But then i came back again, made a new account. now its something i do everyday. i think it'll be hard for me to quit...o.o

I joined waaaaay back in 2003, in September. I didn't really get active with the site until December 2003, though. I was very active until 2005, when I took a long break from Gaia - I don't remember why. But I do know that when I returned to the site, it ws better than ever. Maybe you should consider doing the same thing?
I don't think I could quit, even if I wanted to. I've been here for too long, and it's become an accustomed part of my life. It would take something very severe to make me quit - I can't even imagine what it would take. XD

I did quit once before..donating all my items to a friend's quest and didnt really return to gaia for about a solid year. Which is when I got hooked again.
I want to quit. Life is just so damned hectic right now. Visiting Gaia is part of my 'places to check in the morning and evening' but even though I find myself here twice or three times a day...I feel like Im neglecting all the things on gaia Im involved in.
But at the same time I dont know if I could take the actual plunge and permanently remove myself from gaia. Im a hopeless hoarder, and a social gimp irl so I tend to cling to online communities to get my fix of interacting with people who dont drive me insane (aka my family)
Does anyone actually schedule themselves 'gaia time' ? Is it lame to be at a point in your life where you need to orchestrate your free time?

my schedueled Gaia time is...during the day when my dad's out and i feel like coming on...and every day 5.30-9pm ^^
as long as i'm free, that is =]
I've never considered quitting, and I won't until I have ABSOLUTELY not time for it...like, after Uni when I get a 9-5...have kids...
i may actually quit soon after Uni...

I've been spending alot less time on Gaia than I usually do - I just really hang around PPS and help out in Q&A. sad The rest of the time I'm just messing with my avatar or wandering aimlessly.
I think I'll quit eventually, but... dunno, not now. I'm bored with it, but I just need to find my own little niche again and I'll be fine. XD
I've pretty much been active since I joined in 04 - over this summer is when I stopped losing interest in it. I'll still stay for the items and building up my inventory, if nothing else.
