She was crying again, more out of habit now. She had walked from the sea. Away from her family, her home and that lion whom she hated and loved. Why couldn't she have been born beautiful and intelligent? Why did she have to be born a fool? Maybe she could learn to be smart. Travel the world and learn all sorts of things.
Would he love her then?
Or maybe there were other ways.
It didn't matter anyway. Ivie'lingwa was too upset to even walk straight let alone think straight. Her eyes were red and puffy and her paws dragged. There was a pain in her chest, a terrible pain that didn't seem to want to go. Maybe her heart was gone.
She felt like it was. Hollow, cold and sad.
What was wrong with her? Why couldn't she just be normal? Would she wander the lands without ever sharing the joy of a family? She wept anew, collapsing against the dusty ground and rubbing her face against a foreleg.
Life wasn't fair. It wasn't fair!

It was probably the last lion she wanted to see as he showed a resemblance to his brother but Dhar's eyes saw the green female and his caring nature took over. She was sad and he could see that from where he was laying.
"Ivie!"
He called over to her as he got up and moved quickly towards her. She looked so upset and it worried the lion. He was a caring creature and somewhat loving as well. He hated to see those he cared about upset and well he cared about Ivie and she was clearly upset!
"What's wrong?"
He called to her as he quickened his pace a little, what could have upset her this much?

She jumped to her paws at the sound of her name being called. Who was it? Who was coming for her now? Had they heard the argument and chased her? Was she going to be embarrased again?! She flattened her ears and backed up, tear-filled eyes searching and finding the one who had called.
Fedha!?
No. Definately not Fedha. Dharba. This was Dharba.
She breathed a sigh of relief and rembering how kindly he had been to her before, bowled forwards, hurtling towards him. She was crying again, and even though her legs were tired she didn't care. She all but knocked into him, pressing her face deep into his mane.
She didn't even worry about visions. No visions could make her feel any worse than she did now! Luckily, she didn't recieve any.
"Oh Dharba! I'm such an idiot!" It was hard to talk between her sobbing breaths but she managed it.

Seeing her run into him and cry into his mane confused him to no end. She didn't like touching others! She had only touched him once and even then he was sure she had been uncomfortable but for now he just nuzzled the top of her head gently.
"Ivie what happened?"
His voice was gentle as it normally was and he just continued to nuzzle the top of her head to let her know he was there for her. He would always be there for her.

"D-do you remember when we met before? I...told you about Fedha." She paused and pressed her face into his mane again. Oh this seemed wrong! Finding comfort in the brother of the one she loved. Her stomach did a twist.
"I went to find him. I told him that he had to love me! All he did was yell and scream. He said he hated me...a-and I don't blame him."
She pulled away as if she'd been stung, eyeing Dharba with an apology. "I should have known! I should have known he wouldn't love me." She shook her head fiercely from side to side.

Dhar listened a little confused, he thought he mentioned his brother having a mate but then again maybe he didn't. He couldn't remember too well he just looked at the green female in front of him and his heart went out to her.
"I can't help you but I am here for you, whatever you need you know I will do my best to help you. Fedha is something terrible he always has been."
He knew she would probably disagree with him but right now he wasn't too bothered. He just wanted her to know he cared and was there if she ever decided to need him.

She was torn. She always had been. Her self esteem was next to nothing and her confidence had just been slashed. She was just a blabbering creature now, uncertain and so very dependant. She had always been a child, always needed looking after.
She mewled and stepped back, shaking her head again.
"I don't deserve you Dharba...I don't deserve anyone." She whimpered. "I should just go away. Far, far away."

Dhar let out a small sigh,
"You know I would follow you Ivie, you are in no state to be left alone at the moment!"
He looked at her and moved a little closer to her. He wasn't going to let her just leave in the state that she was. After all he did care about her a lot.
"Ivie just listen ok, I'm not letting you go anywhere on your own and whether you deserve me or not has nothing to do with it. You are a friend and being here is what I am suppose to do!"

She wanted to be loved. Loved and cherished and cared for. She didn't want to sleep alone anymore. She didn't want to be content with just dreams of a mate and cubs. She wanted a simple life and always had. A family to care for, to love and cherish. She wanted simplicities and all she seemed to get was complications.
"Friend?" She teared up again, sniffing to keep back more tears. She wouldn't cry! Not anymore.
"That's all I'll ever be." She sobbed. Her legs felt weak and her stomach churned. "A friend...an annoyance...a nothing." She looked up into his eyes, his beautiful clear eyes.
"Could I ever be more than that? Would anyone want to be with me? Love me? Mate with me?" No. No...there was no one. "Fedha didn't and Fedha knew me well!"
She turned and ran, though her paws couldn't carry her fast and Dhar would easily be able to catch up. She wanted to hide away. Hide away forever.

If she wasn't careful she would be bringing someone else to tears. As she ran he did chase after her and he pounced her with a small growl,
"You are being stupid Ivie! I would happily love you... I would be your mate but you love someone else."
He sounded angry and he was upset but he wasn't going to start crying, he would hold it back. He needed to teach Ivie a lesson. He did care about her and in time he would happily be her mate but she loved Fedha and Dhar was going to give her time.

Perhaps if she wasn't so delirious with grief, she might have been scared, but as she lay, pinned to her back on the ground, his heavy form casting a shadow upon her, she knew she couldn't be scared. Maybe it would be better if his claws pierced her heart.
Maybe it would be better to die.
Then his words. All she wanted was to be loved. Could she ever move away from Fedha? Could she forget him? Could she move on with her life and take another mate. Dharba? Could she really have a future with another?
"Dharba..." Her voice broke. "How can I believe that?" Dharba wasn't there. He hadn't heard those awful things that Fedha had said.
You are a foolish little girl Ivie
Ausi is a much more mature... intelligent feline than you could ever wish to be, regardless of your powers. You're foolish to think we were once friends!
We were never anything... I had always been toying with you... for that exact purpose! My curiousity in the power of seeing
How could he?! How could he say such horrible things. She reached up, wrapped her forepaws around Dharba's warm shoulders and pulled herself up against his chest, hugging him with all the strength she had left.
She'd move on with her life. She'd show him. And then she remembered her promise. She had told Fedha that she'd make him love her. What better way to get to his heart than with cubs? Cubs made everyone happy! And even though she knew it was wrong, she couldn't help it. Her feelings for Fedha and the similarities between the brothers only drew her to Dharba. And why not? Dharba was strong, kindly and handsome. He was just like Fedha minus the bad parts. She could be with him and pretend.
Maybe in the end, everyone would get what they wanted.
Besides. Was it wrong to chase something you wanted?
Well....no, but Ivie was going about it all wrong. It wouldn't be until later in life that she'd realise her mistake. But at this moment in time, so filled with grief and desperation, she held Dharba close and knew what she had to do.
"Dharba...you said you'd love me. Help me forget that awful lion. Be with me. Please." And she rubbed her head up against his chest before hooking it up under his chin. A purr rumbled from her throat, a watery purr but a purr none-the-less.
"Please?"

He just watched her and let out a soft purr like rumble as she moved closer to him and he lowered his body so she wouldn't need to use so much energy but the words that came from her mouth...
Of course he wasn't going to say no she was beautiful but it was just a shock. He looked at her curiously, was he just a rebound? Did he care if he was? He just looked into her begging eyes and nodded.
"I said I would do anything Ivie... and you are just... beautiful."
It was the most inappropriate thing to say but she was beautiful and as she lay there beneath him he couldn't think of much else. She was gorgeous.

She smiled. "Let's go then." She slipped out from beneath him, purring contentedly. "Lets go away from here. Far away." She gazed back over her shoulder and raised her head, smelling the faint scent of salty air.
She'd be back...yes someday she'd return here.
"But not too far today. I need rest. Just lead the way." And she would follow him. Follow him so long as he made her feel wanted.
Love, it seemed, had transformed this little sweetheart into a plotting devil.
