Well ... it seemed that Toni (as she'd lately taken to calling herself) had gotten herself lost again. This didn't seem to bother her, though, since she knew the headquarters was around here ... somewhere. She just wasn't entirely sure which direction it was in. But hey! If she wanted to find it, she could.
Sure she could. Right now, though, it was more important ... to figure out where this little not-quite-path went. It wound through the woods, in and out of trees, a mystery to be explored. Ooh. Was that a stream just ahead? And she was rather thirsty. Picking up her pace a little, she smiled, bounding along, bursting out of the trees right on the edge of the stream.
Overestimating a little, she somehow managed to trip herself up, tumbling head over heels with a startled squawk. Luckily the stream wasn't very deep ... but now she was soaking wet and half-covered with mud. Juuuuuust great.

It had taken a while to get used to his armor and his method of flight... not so much a beating of wings but more propulsion powered by magic. It was one of a few things he'd discovered over the past few days out wandering the woods. It was a strange place to pick for the armored kitsusagi, clad in brilliant red armor as he was, for he stood out like a sore thumb.
Had anything aggressive been near, though, they stayed away. Dart carried with him the aura of a dragon, something that emanated from his armor, and it was more then enough to scare most everything off. Thus, having not actually seen any other living thing for a few hours, he made his way down to a stream he'd spotted in his explorations.
Metallic wings settled comfortably against his back, the Red Dragoon padded quietly down the bank of the stream and dipped his head to lap at the refreshing water. Ears twitching as a sound caught his attention, he glanced up just as something burst through the trees and reared back as his wings flared, ready to dodge the enemy.
.... Only it was a soaking kitsusagi, who had managed to tumble into the water he'd only been drinking from. Settling back down, he padded over and looked down at her, blinking, "Are you alright?"

With a little startled yelp, Toni looked up from the water to see another kitsu - this one clad all in brilliant red armor ... and good golly, were those wings? Ooh ... they were! Scrambling to try and get up, she somehow managed to get herself even more soaked and covered with mud from the bottom of the stream.
She didn't even seem to notice though, finally clamoring up onto the bank and shaking a little to get rid of the worst of the water, silvery fur fluffed out in damp clumps. "Fine!" she chirped. "Juuust fine! I'm Antonia." Pause, blink blink. "What's your name? Can you fly with those wings? They look really cool~!"

He looked away as some of the mud that clung to her was whisked off and landed on his face and shoulders. Reaching up, he wiped the flecks away and backed up as she approached, blinking in return. "Dart Feld.... And thank-you...." Tilting his head, he flicks his tails about, not quite sure what to make of this newcomer.
"Yes, I can." Dart stepped sideways, watching her. "Is there something I can help you with?" She seemed nice enough but in an overly energetic way. It made him smile despite himself, however. "Or are you just out wandering?" The blades of his wings slid against one another as they settled, stacking like a fan more then folding like a bird's wings.

Toni smiled, glad that he was at least talking to her. She knew that her generally happy and (one might even say) dorky personality drove some kitsu absolutely crazy (not that she cared about that either) but ... somehow, she was happy that Dart didn't seem bothered by it too much. "Just wandering, really~" she replied.
Then she leaned in closer and stage-whispered, "Though actually, I'm lost ... but I won't tell if you don't!"
"Oh! And you can call me Toni, if you want to ... easier than the whole name, right?"

"Ah." He replied, settling down onto the banks of the river and then laughed as she proceeded to admit she was lost. Swinging a paw in the general direction of where the others would likely be found, Dart smiled, "Head that way and you'll find the others." In truth, he hadn't really met any of the others - a few angelic and that was about it.
Shrugging, he shook his head, watching her curiously, "If there's a longer name you haven't told me." His tone was light, more amused then anything else.

Toni blinked at that, staring at him for a minute or two. "Oh!! I didn't even tell you ... uhm. My full name is Antonia," she said then, flushing just a bit. Looking down at herself, she seemed to just then notice all the mud she'd gotten on herself.
Wow, she really had gotten herself kinda dirty, huh? Frowning slightly, she tried to get rid of some mud without licking it (because it tasted bad) - pushing at it with paws and just ending up smearing it around more. Eew...

Dart shook his head, "That's a beautiful name, why hide it behind Toni?" He cocked his head to the curious. As she started fidgeting with the mud that was caked on her, he laughed and padded down into the stream where he helpfully splashed water onto the smears and patches of mud.
"I think washing it off works better then rubbing it in, Antonia." He smiled broadly as he stood in the stream.

Shrugging one shoulder slightly, she scraped at a bit more of the mud, frowning. "S'just easier to say, I guess," she replied. She hadn't ever really thought of it as hiding per se.
Blinking when he started splashing water on her, eyes rounded a bit as she noticed that did seem to help. Well ... it was a good thing he was here, then. Smiling over at him, she said, "Thanks. If it was a little deeper here, I'd just go for a swim ..."

"It's a little deeper further downstream," He gestured in the proper direction, "A rather pretty spot, actually." He nodded before wandering out of the stream and shaking the water from his paws.
"Come on. Let's get you cleaned up." Dart smiled as he started down the bank, his tone indicating that might not be the end of their meeting. She'd caught his attention, if only because of how carefree she seemed. It was refreshing and some company would be much appreciated.

Toni nodded eagerly at that and followed along beside the other - being much less careful with where she placed her paws. After all, she was already wet and going to swim, what did a little more water matter?
She did try not to splash around too much though, since she was fairly sure he didn't want to get wet. At least not yet. She was sort of hoping that he might go swimming with her when they got there ... that would be nice.

As they moved downstream, Dart tossed his head and looked around, taking in their surroundings, watchful as usual. When they approached the deeper part, he smiled and pointed, "There you are. Should be deep enough to swim, I believe."
He settled down and waited on the side of the placid pool, shadows and lights played across the smooth water and small little fish darted about the very bottom. "What do you think?" For him, it was a relaxing and refreshing spot - something he hoped she would appreciate.

Toni's eyes lit up at the sight of the deeper water and she immediately bounded off the bank and into the water, splashing around. "It's great!" she called back to him, ducking head under the water and coming up dripping and laughing.
"Aren't you gonna swim too?" she asked then, head tilting to one side, blinking at him.

He watched, amused by her antics, and settled onto a grassy outcrop that hung over the pool. "Me? No..." He shuffled forward to hang his head over the edge of the outcrop to peer at her, blinking slightly.

She blinked back at him and paused for a moment, nearly nose-deep in water. "Why not?" she asked. "You don't like water..? Or can't you swim?"
