How exactly the child had been so pursuasive Ymir still hadn't figured out, but here he stood, listening to the young rabbit-like child 'ooooo' and 'aaaahhh' over the stunts pulled on the ramps before her. They'd only just arrived really, after a long stroll through the town with the child earning more than a few stairs for riding on the back of a dragon. Certainly it wasn't that odd for him to be out for a walk. Still, the fact remained, here he was playing the babysitter and wondering how he'd ended up like it. Not that it annoyed him, she was fairly light and loved to give him a nice scratch on the head when prompted. It could have been worse.
Up, turn, and back down. Harle watched in wonder as the skater seemed to fly up and land miraculously once again before choosing to actually exit the ramp and land on the lip. It was actually somewhat of a miracle that she hadn't fallen as well, the way she was leaning over Ymir's side to try and get a better look as the dragon continued to walk along as if intending to move on from the area. Much to her dislike. "Wanwatch." She grumbled quickly, the words jumbling together due to her fast speech habits. The fact that she didn't pronounce things entirely well yet didn't help matters for her keeper, but the brief pause proved that the dragon had heard.
"Not home?" He'd actually been planning to return to the house soon, fearing that someone might worry about the missing child. Neither had spoken to anyone before leaving, which might earn him a bit of a talk in the near future unless they got back quickly. "Play with sister?" Yes, perhaps she'd like to play with one of her sisters, she seemed to get along with a few, right?
"Nonononononononono!" It was a bit of a tantrum as the girl waved her arms, earning a few more looks as she leaned forward upon noticing the attention. She inched back slightly as if to try and hide behind the hybrid's wings, not that it worked well. There was little camoflauge available for the calico-like patterned fur the girl bore when against the pale dragon. "Watch." She quickly piped, patting the side of the hybrid's neck to get his attention. "Closeclose." With that she beamed, sitting up again as the dragon sighed slightly and proceded to wander a bit closer to the skate park.
It was going to be a long day.

The wind felt rather nice as it whistled past his face. Lians ears were back and his body was straining against the wind along with the board under his feet. Although it was getting colder, due to Fall coming, he was shirtless against the wind and without shoes. Paws flexed and his climbing nails were bared to dig just a bit into his skateboard.
Sometimes, there was nothing like being a hybrid.
Lian let out a whoop, his lengthening bangs flying high in the air as his body twisted and leapt in time with the board as the half-pipe became HIS territory. Others paused to watch as the furred youth flipped in the air. He only stopped when his foot shifted one degree in the wrong way.
The red panda tumbled from the sky and onto the hard wood of the half-pipe. Luckily, he hadn't been too high from the ground and skidded rather roughly against it. No one rushed to help; it was what happened in places like that. Only one being disapproved and that was from the sidelines. The great purple dragon hissed her disapproval of her boys injuries, serpentine frame sliding into the air herself.
Stupid stupid... Her draconic was softly chiding, whistling sharply at the boy as the young beast headed out to the middle of the half pipe, small claws going to pluck at the short blonde hair on her boys head. Stupid little boy, what do you think you're doing, practicing like that? You'll break a neck.
Lian, of course, had no clue what his dragon was saying. He just grumbled, peering up at her as he picked himself up and grabbed his board. "I'm FINE, Xiao." He defended himself, shifting slightly from one foot to the other. Eventually, he heaved a sigh, his free hand moving up to pay at her whiskered cheek affectionately.
"I think I cut my knees. Let's go, Xiao." SHe churred her agreement, nibbling at his white ears. When Lian hopped off the half-pipe, with just a slight wince, his eyes zero'd in... On a giant white thing. It was a dragon, something that instantly had Xiao twisting in circles protectively behind him. Her experiance with others of her kind was limited to friends or Cleo. The silly gold dragon had failed to impress her.
"There's a rabbit on that dragon."
The dragon is wearing a rabbit hat. Xiao agreed, peering still at Ymir. Hello.

And there was even a colourful one, like her. Well, brighter. It was a reddish one with a tail. A long one like her brothers. "Ssssflyfly." She chimed grinning as she leaned down on the dragon's neck, practically falling off still. At least she wasn't heavy enough to crush the fin running down it or Ymir would have been might uncomfortable.
And obviously he'd need to talk to Keanu about letting Harle see what flying was really about. The dragon simply bobbed his head once to agree so the child wouldn't fuss over what real flight was, he had no intention of trying anything of that sort without someone practically tying her to his back. Plain and simple, no way in hell.
Harle continued to watch until it seemed something went wrong and the boy was sent down hard onto the wood. At which point something joinedhim,s omething... familiar, but not. The thing reminded her of Ymir, but it was obviusly different. "Draggy?" She quickly chimed glancing down at the hybrid curiously.
"Yes." The pale dragon replied, momentarily looking a bit worried. Although they didn't seem aggressive, he didn't know either, and there wasn't anyone to watch Harle. Still, it seemed safe enough, even if they were approaching. "Stay on back." He added quietly before looking to confront the pair. The boy seemed a bit banged up from the fall, but well enough. Though it was the other dragon that greeted him. "Hello, how are you this evening?"
The rabbit frowned at the speech, leaning back a bit as the two grew closer as well. She flattened herself against Ymir's back watching them cautiously. It was basic instinct to worry, not that she understood that. "Wassay?" She babbled against the dragn's slightly spiking neck while watching the two new brilliantly coloured figures.

The girl was multicolored. Lian didn't look too worried at the much larger, much odder looking dragon approaching. It had a small girl on its head so it couldn't be that bad, right? Besides, the dragon was... interesting. Pointy and glittery. It could probably even FLY.
Xiao was too small to carry Lian. That thought always disappointed the red panda a little bit but he adored his dragon. After all, how many kids could say they had their own personal dragons? ...well... Given it was Gaia, probably more then normal.
Ah well.
"Hi." This was said to Harle, Lians head craning up a bit. His paw rises, giving the girl a quick back-and-forth wave of his digits. "My name's Lian. Aren't you alittle small to have a dragon? Xiao just hatched when I was a lot bigger then you are."
Proper speech. He was polite. He was POLITE. Lian was always so ...so improper and unlearned when it came to things like properly being PROPER. It made the poor asian lung want to shed tears sometimes. Xiao preened slightly, the defensive posture faltering somewhat as she got a bit closer to the dragon and the rabbit, eyeing them curiously.
I'd be better if my boy didn't insist on bloodying himself up. A pause from the asian lung, the fluffy tail twitching. And yourself? ...Who are you, exactly? I am Xiao. We aren't going to hurt you. My boy babysits his sisters often.

It was true, Ymir was strong enough to fly and hold the wieght of a child, he'd done so many times. Not that he saw it as anything special, he'd been able to long enough that he thought little of it. Perhaps he'd take more note if he knew just how few of the children had actually learned how to ride their dragons in flight, then perhaps the hybrid would realize he was a bit of a rarity in that sense.
Harle peeked up as the panda spoke to her, ears flipping forward which proved she was obviously curious about the boy. "Li-ahn. Lian. Lianlianlian." She practiced what she'd heard before sitting up more and leaning back a bit, using her arms to support her. "Ymir'snahmine. Family." She quickly stated, nodding quickly to confirm the statement. "Gooddraggy." She added before glancing down at the pale creature supporting her, then at the other dragon. "Goodtoo?"
"I understand completely. My partner has the same problem, often causing such trouble. I fear for his health daily." Which was quite true, he was actually a bit concerned over what Keanu might be up to at the moment. "I am Ymir, Keanu's partner. This is his younger sister, Harle. And it seems so, but there is no harm in being cautious as you may understand. She's also bit timid, which doesn't help matters." Then he turned, watching the boy a moment. "Is sister. Not partner." He managed in his broken english, bobbing his head once to cause the girl to squeal happily as she clutched onto the dragon. "I Ymir, is Harle." He shifted a wing as if to try and indicate the child atop his head. "Ymir Keanu partner." He hated using english, it made little sense to him, but alas, it seemed the children weren't too inclined to learn his own language. And he had to explain some thigns from time to time.

She really WAS tiny. The smaller children always rather fascinated Lian, as most of his relatives were either too big to do anything but babysit and watch tv with or unborn. He could vaguely remember when Cleo and Tyven were that young but it had been quite some time ago. This one was cute and small and she spoke in the typical toddler-ese fashion.
He just grinned as she repeated his name, eyebrows going up a bit when she asked about his dragon. "We like to think we're good?" Lian offers up to her, grinning a bit more. The panda liked to smile. It kicked up the endorphines, some people said. "My dragon is Xiao. She's very nice."
When Ymir spoke, Lians ears swiveled a bit before glancing at the frost and silver dragon. "Ymir?" It was pronounced slowly, familiarizing himself with the name before offering the big reptile a carefree smile. "Hey. And hi, Harle."
Xiaos sigh was long and she shook her head at her little boy, shifting over to wrap a part of her long tail about his feet. Silly mostly-human. He thinks everything can be handled with... with him being him. The soft words were affectionate however. I understand the caution completely. Things can never be too safe... especially with one as small as her.

It probably didn't help that she was petite even for her age. A small child just seemed smaller when you were a tiny thing. Still, what she didn't have in size she easily found ways to make up for in energy. If anything she could be a rather rambunctious child at times. Especially when something was interesting. And a new dragon was something to label as interesting.
"Goodgood!" She quickly called, moving as if to slip off of Ymir's head, though the dragon shifted to keep her on. "WandownseeXiooo!" Since she was good she had to be nice too, like Ymir. She wanted to play with her too. Not that she didn't care about Lian, but she'd never seen another dragon. There were, however, other children at the house.
"Ask before." The dragon replied, managing to keep the rabbit balanced a moment longer before she finally escaped to the ground and he was forced to try and catch her, not that it worked. She was actually good enough at moving around to stay on her feet.
The child did pause though, eyeing the hybrid first before turning his attention to the other and seeming to think. "Ipether?" She quickly babbled, beaming at the other boy.
Seeing that she wasn't going to cause too much trouble the dragon nodded at the boy as he spoke. "Yes." Then back to the other dragon. "It's true, they seem to believe trying is enough. Though mine must learn to worry more about his own health." He replied, sighing slightly and nodding his head. "That is quite true, and she is quick to believe due to her age."

Lian was large for his age. Well. Tall and lanky, anyway, despite being created from a marsupial. He didn't mind being ignored too much - he was used to being over sighted for the the dragon or his pretty, younger sister. It was how things were and he was used to it. Either way, all he could do was just grin when the little bunny asked whether or not she could pet the purple dragon.
"It's up to her but she's--"
He was cut off abruptly as Xiaos head snaked foreward, tilting to the side to rub her flat skull against the girls shoulder, almost like a cat. It was more affection then she liked to show but this was a little one and if she was already fond of dragons, why bother to try and detour that?
Xiao churred out a greeting, nibbling at the girls shoulder for a moment before going still to allow her to pet. Lian laughed, reaching over to rub some scales on Xiao's side. "So. SHe likes you."

Well not so much pet as fawn over. Ymir was used to children grabbing onto his legs, climbing onto his back, and various things. There was no harm in it sincehe was so used to the occaisional akward bending on his fin and such, he knew how to keep himself in check in regard to the children. Thus the young girl asumed the same of the other dragon. She'd only seen one before and it loved to play with her, wouldn't the same be expected of other's? Though, at least she wasn't as bad about tugging things as some of her brother's and sisters. She'd had her ears tugged on enough to learn it wasn't fun.
Up to her? Oh, yes, of course. That made sense, it wasn't as if Keanu made every decision for Ymir, the dragon spoke for itself often. Though It did seem the dragon wasn't taking long to choose as it nudged her shoulder, to which she responded by reaching up to catch the dragon's head in a hug before stroking along the asian lung's neck. "Isdifferen." She babbled seeming rather taken with the fact that the dragon was far more smooth than the rigid scales running along Ymir. "Likehertoo!" She added, happily standing on tiptoe to rub her face against the dragon while continuing to stroke at the creature with her hands. It seemed all dragons were nice, that was good. "DaddysaysIgetonetoolater." She added happily. "Ihopeit'slikeXiaoandYmir." Which was true, but who wouldn't want something like the two?
Ymir watched a moment before judging that all was well and sat down on the walkway they were on, quite fine with simply waiting for the girl to tire herself out fawning over the other dragon. Not that he wasn't a bit jealous, he'd previously been the center of all that and quite liked it. Still, he soon turned his attention to the other boy, allowing the girl her fun. "Alright from fall?" They had seen that afterall, and there was the slight tangy scent of blood, though it was quite faint. Still, he was quite used to worrying over something most of the time, so it was abit of habit, even if this wasn't his partner.

Lian had learned the same thing about his tail. Having the longer appendages pulled on by a hyperactive kid was just about the worst. It -hurt- and it never helped that usually the kid would end up laughing about it some other time. Or even in their face!
Sometimes, little kids sucked.
Xiao, like most dragons, rather liked the attention. Getting Emi to open up and recieve affection from the dragon, or anyone really, was a bit difficult. The girl preferred to stay by herself, practicing her ballet or ... Well, nothing else Xiao knew of. In response to the petting and hugs, she churred in a quiet fashion, nibbling every so often at the small one as she often did with Lian. He always seemed to enjoy it so..
"All D-Corp kids get one." Lian nodded, watching the two with an amused grin. His adreniline was back, just a bit, and the boy started to shift from one foot to the other, bouncing a l ittle. It agitated the wound on his knee just a bit, eough to give him another little flick of adreniline in his system. He liked that. Well. Not the pain. But the adreniline.
Ymir distracted him for a moment, blinking his wide eyes at him before giving a rough grin. "Mmhmm. Just a skinned knee. I think I bruised my butt, maybe the base of my tail. I'l be fine with an ice pack. Dagger will Baby me anyway." He gave a careless shrug, raising a hand to run through his bright blonde hair. "Xiao just worries to much. I can tell, even if I don't know what she says. I'm usually just fine."

Sometimes they did, but only until they learned the do's and don'ts of the world. Once they understood why things worked the way they did little kids weren't so bad. Not that it helped when one was laughing about it.
Harle adored the little noises that Xiao made, grinning at them. They were different than Ymir's sounds, he usually just drew out an english word or made his own little noises. She'd never really heard that one before, which brought up an interesting question. Why was this dragon so different from Ymir? A quick glance between the two said a lot about HOW different the pair was, but... she didn't know why. Looking at them certainly couldn't tell her that. So after a few more scratches an d a last hug she was off to ask Lian about it, afterall the dragon spoke in gibberish.
"Lian! WhyarehteynotthesameIwannaknow." Sure, she'd been told she'd get a dragon, and apparently everyone did. But they weren't the same. Even if they were both nice. She wanted to know why because it might be important. She was going to eventually have one too right?
The dragon listened as the boy spoke, holding in the bit of a huff. "The same attitude." He chose to say it in draconic to keep the comment more to himself, though the slightly tired tone probably still showed through. Still, this wasn't his child to guard and it wasn't his place to start on with the boy. "Yes, she simply worries for your sake. Take into account the situation and why she worries perhaps?" He replied before eyeing the ever exicted child. She always had a lot of energy.

Children were not exactly what Lian aimed for in life. At the moment he was talking to Harle, he wanted to live fast, hard and fun. Children (along with sex and girlfriends and adopted MOTHERS) tended to hold back on that. Also? He was too young for things like kids - he could hardly tolerate Cleo for very long!
"Why are they different?" He queried back at the chattering as he crouched down in order to be eye level with the small girl. She was too cute and innocent enough for him not to think of her on the same level as the too-hyper Cleo. One of his hands reached out to fluff at her hair, contemplating that for a minute. "Well... They'r elike you and me. Different types. We both have fur and bigger ears then most people, right? They have scales and are a LOT bigger then a bunch of other stuff. But you and me, kiddlet? We have different kinds of fur and we look different. So do they. So they're the same kind, but still different. Just like people, like D-Corp."
When he concentrates, he can't hear you. Xiao chuckled quietly, eyeing the large, tired-sounding dragon. Her slim frame was relaxed now, watching on the boy and the small girl. But yes, the same attitude. I see it as a good and a bad thing - can you think of the damage our two boys would do if they're alike? On the other hand, the child needs more friends. I can do with solitude but...
She shifted uncomfortably, spine stretching languidly. I worry too much. For his sake but I do. Really. He just takes too many risks. Today was nothing. Today was a brief thrill. He's been talking about hang-fliding or ...or bungee jumping.
