Mace travelled far and wide to search for the cure. He made it to a man who said to have the power to cure all illness and prevent death. Mace thinking this was a chance to save his wife, children and village, he went to see the man. The man look to be no more then a child, yet his eyes showed years of knowledge. The man told him I can give you the power to prevent death, cure all illness. Mace foolishly agreed to take the power. When he returned to his village he found the power he received could cure his family, friends and the rest of his village. So he watched them die and buried them one by one. He then returned angrily to the wise one and found the young man now old and aging rapidly. The man laughed at Mace. Now you are cursed like I was. You will live forever until the day you pass on the curse to some unfortunate soul. From then on Mace watched the years pass by, never aging. He had many lovers and friends that died on him, Cursed to forever walk the earth alone.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Name: Jáune Kulleay
Age: 27 (in appearance, but is nearly 500)
Race: Vampire (Nosferatu)
Complexion: He is very pale, but his skin flushes with slight color when he feeds.
Eye Color: Golden Yellow
Hair Color: Auburn—His hair is long and silky. It runs down to just below the shoulder blades and he has a large bit of bangs that covers the right side of his face.
Height/ Weight: 6’2/ 155 lbs.
Bio: When Jaune was younger he was thought to be one of the greatest Vampire leaders in history. He was very just and stood up for all that was important to the Vampiric clan, but tragedy struck. When battling to save his clan against the forces of Darkness he accidentally tasted of the blood of the God of Darkness and it poisoned him down to his very soul. Jaune suddenly became, cold and distant from his clan and then one night, he just snapped and went on a rampage, killing everyone he could get his hands on; feasting on the blood of his fellow vampires as if he could never be satisfied. The people which once revered him, now feared him. So they all ganged up on him and entombed him so that he would never wreak havoc upon them again, but only after a few years of imprisonment, the poison ate away at him so much that he broke free of his binds and is now out for revenge on all those who have locked him away...
For nearly fifty-five years they had him entombed in that catacomb, left to rot and decay, perhaps turn into dust as time slowly ate away at his body, but such a kind fate could never befall the monster that lied dormant there. Instead, time only served to deepen his hatred for those who placed him in that forsaken prison cell and along with that hatred, his strength and restlessness grew until it became unbearable. And a now, a few nights ago, just after the sun set on the crimson horizon, he broke free. The feared one broke free of his binds and with a spread of his massive wings flew off into the night in search of sustenance and the remains of his once beautiful home.
Once again unnatural screams echoed through the night and into the hearts of the shadows where the nocturnal creatures crept and the scent of blood permeated through the air. The dark one had somehow escaped and now no one was safe, not even the predators of the night themselves. Having satiated his aching blood lusted body, the monster took to the forest and landed upon the steep of his old manor. Having been abandoned for so long, the place had become degenerated and broken, a fraction of what it had once been. The creatures heart sank as he took in the site of his once great house, but even in its down-trodden state would serve him well, for the shelter he needed for the long, impatient days.
He would not kill any more tonight, but as soon as the moon rose for tomorrows eve, no mercy will be given to those who stood against him all those years ago. No one will escape his deadly lips.
“Yes I understand. It will be taken care of. I will bring you the heart as proof.” The phone conversation ended as the hunter hung up the phone and placed it in his jacket pocket, Turing it off. He walked out of the bar without a second glance. His long hair blew lightly in the wind; his face was hidden under a old style cowboy hat. The town seemed so dead at night, doors were locked up and windows shut tightly. The truth was they were afraid of the monster that lurked at night, claiming its victims.
Yet in day it seemed that the town was normal. People went on with there lives, yet at 6 all buildings locked themselves up tightly. Cattle that were what these people were. They were afraid, never fighting the creature just excepting their losses. Just the sight of the towns folks scattering in fear sickened Mace.
He walked pass a couple towards his car. Opening the door he stepped into the driver’s seat and closed the door. His watched read 4:30pm as he glanced at it. He already knew the destination from the locals, all he had to do was get there before sun down. Putting his foot on the throttle he drove out of the town into the forest, following an old abandoned road. It was an hour later when he finally arrived at his destination, an old mansion. Getting out of his car he walked to the trunk and placed his key’s in the lock to unlock it.
The trunk was filled with many weapons, mostly guns. Mace smirked at his toys and took out a few guns, an ancient dagger bless in holy water and a vial of holy water, as well as one of his favourite toys a flamethrower. Concealing his weapons a.k.a his many toys in the inside of his coat pockets, Mace made his way into the old building. He didn’t bother to be quiet. Since he didn’t have much time before the sun set and the creature of the night he was hunting would wake.
He didn’t bother with the upstairs rooms, knowing from experience a vampire would make there resting place in the basement, where no light could touch them. Mace arrived in the basement but found no vampire. “********” He shouted as he rushed up the old stairs as his watch clicked away and the sun started to set. He started searching the room, s quickly. When he finally arrived at the last room the sun was about to set, He quickly kicked the door down.
The vampire was no where in the room. His watch red 6:05pm. Mace scanned the dark room his shot gun ready and loaded.
The setting sun always brought about a dark energy that served to rouse the creature from his death-like slumber. Not all vampires slept until the sunset and neither did this one. It was the muffled click of the front door, four floors below, that jolted the creature into consciousness. Luminescent eyes shot open and narrowed as Jaune became aware of the intruder and by the sound of it, he was a Hunter. As far as he was concerned, this trespass might as well be breakfast in bed.
When the door flung open, the vampires heart began to beat furiously in his chest and his pupils slit as his predatory instincts began to take over. He had melded himself into the shadows and was completely invisible to the eyes of others, only the oldest of vampires had the power to do this feat. It is a power that only Nosferatu wield; the power of Shadow Manipulation. With this Jaune could potentially create illusions from the shadows that could harm or even hypnotize the subject of the attack.
Slowly, the vampire stalked around the intruder, taking in his build and his scent; this was no ordinary Hunter. This man was immortal. Jaune could sense it and that in itself made this man much more loathsome. Jaune had only once before met an immortal and that is what caused him his downfall. That is why he has become what he is now, because of the poisoned blood of that immortal, Jaune is now an insatiable, unfeeling monster.
"Leave this place immortal," the deep, accented voice echoed eerily from the darkness.
Mace smirked as he heard the voice; death never scared him because he could never die. So nothing scared him. “I am not leaving until your head is mine vampire!” He shouted in the darkness, the vampire may have the advantage right now, but Mace was a man never to give up. He was hired to kill the son of a b***h and he was going to do it. A monster one woman had described the hunter once, he hunted the monsters yet in a strange way he was a monster himself, a cold blooded killer. Over the years the immortal detached himself from others. Since he couldn’t stand watching them age and die while he remained young. Hunting and killing the monsters seemed to give the hunter a purpose in life. Saving those who couldn’t defend themselves and the fact that humans were just too easy to kill now a days, only the monsters posed a challenge.
“So why don’t I just start lighting your place a blaze to see if you will come out and play with me.” Mace said as he got his weapon ready and aimed it at the bed causing the mattress, sheets, blankets and pillows to burn. “Now I hope that pissed you off, because I won’t stop until you face me vampire.” Mace spoke in a serious voice, his visible eye showed no emotion. He was in hunter mode, focusing on hunting and killing his prey.
Jaune couldn't help but sneer behind the shadows. This immortal sure was arrogant! A sharp toothy grin curled the sides of his lips as he stalked the immortal under the cover of the darkness, drawing ever closer. However, when the Hunter set his very bed aflame, his smirk quickly curled into a frightful snarl. How dare that infernal creature come into his home and defile the only thing he had left of his sacred past! Jaune was indeed more than pissed and he intended to show that immortal a little of what he was capable.
Suddenly, without so much as a sound or a displacement of air, the vampire appeared in the darkness behind the Hunter and lunged at him with his sword, impaling him from behind, before pulling it out and disappearing again into the shadows. He knew that stabbing the immortal would do little damage, but there was no creature on this world, mortal or immortal, that could not feel pain and Jaune intended to inflict as much of it as he could.
"You are a fool to think that I am just as the others of my kind!" Jaune hissed, from within the darkness behind where the bed sat ablaze.
Pain filled Mace body as the sword stabbed right through him, hitting his internal organs, a normal human would have died from that blow, yet the slayer just smirked as he cough up blood, when the blade was pulled out, his wounds instantly healed, as if he was never stabbed in the first place. Yet the pain still remained which reminded the hunter that he was still alive. Smirking Mace spit out the rest of the blood as he spoke his cold killer eyes scanned the room. “Did that piss you off vampire, why don’t I just torch the ******** place, hell I have done it before, I can’t die and I never get scars. So if you want to use you vampire tricks and not play nice, that is just fine with me because I like it when they don’t play nice.”
The hunter said as he pointed his flame thrower at a painting on a wall and caused it to burn. “How did you like that you UN dead mother ********? Bet that was priceless and had much sentimental value to you. Hmm what else can I torch.” Mace said with a dark smirk on his face. He knew he was being cruel, but he didn’t care. He had stopped caring a long time ago. Life had been cruel to him, so why not make other peoples lives hell as well. “Come on you blood sucker, I know how my blood tastes to you freaks. It ******** turns you on, gives you a high like no other. I just bet you want to sink you fangs into me. I know you haven’t had time to feed and that is what will be your done fall.” Mace said as his he looked for any sign of movement.
When the Hunter set the portrait over the fireplace mantle ablaze, Jaune's eyes widened murderously as he hissed in anger. It was a horrible and unnatural sound; the sound only a demon or monster could emit. He wanted to just jump forward and impale the other again, but reasoned with the being inside of himself to hold back. It would be no use. Instead he stayed hidden and listened to the Hunter's mocking words, biding his time.
Fortunately, that moment had come rather quickly with the comments about the effect of his blood upon the vampire. Oh, yes, Jaune could smell that succulent fluid, he could practically already taste it, but he would not dare to consume from him or any other immortal ever again. Not after what it had done to him the first time. The words seeped into his consciousness and the more they echoed within his head the more humorous they came to be. Soon a dark, malicious laughter echoed throughout the burning room.
"Oh yes, your blood is something of rare commodity and oh how I would love to rip into that sturdy neck of yours. The very sound of the essence running through your body arouses me and you are so sure of my weakness for it..." Jaune spoke darkly as he suddenly appeared on the opposite side of the room from the Hunter, staring hungrily at him with his unnaturally glowing yellow eyes. "But... unfortunately for the both of us I am quite regrettably satiated!" His voice crescendoed as a shadowed figure was thrust through the flames, landing on the floor before the Hunter. That figure was the disfigured, bloodless body of a townswoman from the night before.
The vampire just stood back, teeth glinting in the firelight as he chuckled darkly at the sight of his work.
Mace smirked “So you kill one of them why should I care I am older then you and have killed more then you ever dreamed. I fought in wars and killed people for sport. Humans got to easy to kill so I went after your kind and the other in human freaks out there. But you did piss me off. I mean here I come here to get a quick kill in before dinner and you turn out to be one of the old ones. Well all I have to say is one of us will die this night and it’s not going to be me. So let’s play you un dead b***h!” He shouted as he let his flame thrower’s flames burn at the walls.
The hunter didn’t care anymore it was a game to him, a game of chess.
Jaune sneered from behind the flames. This immortal was truly naive if not completely ill informed. Jaune would have been more inclined to call him stupid, but he knew that was not the case. This immortal just seemed to have been blinded by the fact that he, just as most vampires, if not in excess, kills for sustenance. Though looking back, the mutilation he often dealt his victims was more for sport. A trait that only he and his monstrous tenancies carried. Another poisonous effect of that damned Dark Gods blood.
When his whole entire house began to go up into flames, Jaune bared his teeth and let out a demonic scream. Everything he had was being destroyed, his past, his history becoming engulfed in these immortals flames. "How dare you come into my house and destroy what is not yours!" He hissed in a sort of deep unheard pain, then suddenly spread his massive demon-like wings in a veil of shadow and in one swift move he jumped into the air and flew through the flames right at Mace, sword drawn and ready to strike. He was just as a figure from a nightmare, a frightening demon with glowing yellow eyes filled with rage.
Mace could feel the heart surround them. ‘heh this seems familiar. Yet I was surrounded by thousands of these undead ********.’ Mace wasn’t afraid, he had no fear of death and staring at him sword drawn ready to strike was a being that brought on death.
“Maybe you can feel some pain like I had. Maybe burning your things brought on some sick joys to me. I have lived long and whatever you throw at me will not kill me. So let’s dance. Maybe you will actually bring some excitement into my boring immortal existence.” He said as the blade pierced through his heart, causing blood to spill out of his mouth.
“That’s *cough* More like it” Mace said as he pulled the blade out of his body and shot Jaune. Yet his vision was blurred from the attack, since he had not healed yet. Making his bullet miss the vampire lord’s leg by a few inches.
“Damn you really did a number on me there, but now I can see and you are going to no the reason why people call me the deathbringer.” Mace said pointing his gun at the vampire, his hair slightly stained with his own blood shimmered in the fire's light. His eyes gave the look of death when he stared at Jaune.
PostPosted: Wed Nov 07, 2007 8:13 pm
The near miss of the bullet was fortunate for the vampire, but it didn't do anything to ease or help reverse the situation. It merely gave Jaune another split second to collect his thoughts and move. The vampire landed on his feet, just before the flames that had now engulfed the massive 4-poster bed Jaune had just been sleeping in. He crouched down and stared at the Hunter with a challenging look of malice. "Do what you will Hunter. I am not killed so easily!" He growled with a sharp-toothed smirk.
“So be it vampire.” He said with a smirk before raising his sword and stabbing the vampire in the heart and then pulling the blade out and slashing off the vampire’s head perfectly. “Finally it’s over.” He said taking in a few deep breaths. "Well might as well put the flames out. I can sell some of this stuff.” He said with a smirk cleaning his blade before leaving the room and searching for a bucket. Once found he poured water in it and started to throw it on the fire. The fire with help from the rain went out after an hour. Mace didn’t even notice Jaune regenerating.
The vampire had anticipated all of this, he wanted the Hunter to see what he was capable of and if that meant being impaled and beheaded, so be it. It's not like it would be the first time. When the Hunter's sword pierced through his heart, he let out a pained cry as blood spattered out of his mouth. He fell to his hands and knees and looked up with glaring yellow eyes, though his head was removed with an eerie smirk still plastered on his face.
The Hunter thought he was dead, but that just wasn't the case. All at once streams of dark matter began to flow towards the body of the vampire, slowly bringing him back together. All at once a dark figure arose from the floor and as if in a nightmare, everything around Jaune and the Hunter turned black as if a blanket of darkness had engulfed them. Then out of that darkness a malignant laughter echoed out of the blackness.
"Did you honestly think you could kill me by just piercing my heart and cutting off my head? Foolish Hunter!" the dark accented voice exclaimed before a dozen dark spears of dark matter shot out from the darkness and pierced through the hunter's back.
Mace felt the dark spears piece through his skin, blood gushed out of his wounds and his mouth as he fell to the floor. His wounds started to heal instantly as he got up and whipped the blood from his mouth. He looked angry as he turned to the vampire and then he started to laugh like a maniac. When his laughter died Mace smiled.
“I can’t see you but I know you can see me. I have never met my match before. Usually vampires die from that, yet you cured yourself. I am impressed. I say we have a truce, or we can still fight until the sun comes up, your choice. But I am getting a bit tried and hungry. I may not be able to die, but I still need to eat. And yeah I can find you some of your old paintings and junk. Easily, I am as old or older then you. So what do you say truce for now, or keep fighting. I let you decide since I can’t see you in this dark field.”
He said trying to look around. ‘Damn I can’t see a damn thing and I don’t want to move or I am going to trip over something and make myself look like a complete idiot ‘ he thought to himself.
