Since coming to the Pridelands and moving in with a friendly, trustworthy lioness, Cheshi's attitude had noticably changed. She was still wary, but her paranoia was not nearly as intense as it had once been. She felt safe knowing that Memetuka was nearby, and that she might use her friendship as a way of protection. She also felt safe knowing that Sunny was around. She was feeling particularly good that morning, and so she was actually leading the way to the watering hole. It was a personal test of sorts, to prove to herself that she could do it- and it was taking a lot to keep going without looking back every 10 seconds to assure that Sungura was following after her.
It would be a proud day if Cheshi made it too and from the water hole without having a panic attack, and the hare tried hard not to think about how unlikely that was to happen.

Sungura, having instantly noticed the change in Cheshi's personality was glad of it. While, it was the nervous, timid Cheshi that he had grown to adore, it was nice to know that she was not nearly as scared as she once was. Sungura loved his companion for how she was, but knew it stressed her out a great deal to be so paranoid of everything. Taking advantage of the fact that she was walking ahead, the dark colored rabbit watched her small tuft of fur move as she walk. As a young male, he couldn't help but admire it.
While they had been spending so much time with Memetuka, Sungura had not been able to spend much quality time with Cheshi. He had a few things he wanted to tell her. Both lack of time and fear of her response kept the rabbit from speaking up when he ever had a chance. Watching Cheshi still walk ahead, Sungura made sure to grin wildly and wave everytime she glanced back towards him.
Sungura had faith in Cheshi. He knew how nervous she was, but at the rate of her improvement, it would not surprise him at all if she managed the trip to the watering hole and back no problem.

Isilo'Ilangabi and her new son, one of her kings, Xabal, set out across the open grassy areas of the pridelands. This was there home, they were little lions, and nothing in the world could change that. Padding along Isilo glanced behind her several times to make sure Xabal would not wander off, but it'd be fine, it'd always be fine.
Perhaps today would be a good day to take him to the water hole.
"How about the water hole today Xabal?"
Xabal peered at the ground with his eyes, focused on the path he was going along. He had the red pelt of his mother, and marks upon his pelt, over his eye that seemed like a blue scar, that separated himself from his mother and siblings.
Perhaps a mark from his absent father...he'd find him one day, and teach him a lesson for leaving his mother in such a way. "Sure mom," Xabal was a good son, though with a strange attitude towards life, he'd always be a good son to his mother.

Cheshi was moving along at a decent pace, keeping her glances back at Sungura to a minimum- though she did always look back every once in awhile, she wouldn't be able to do anything without him, she had realized quite quickly. But overall, she was doing very well for herself in keeping up the movement. Nothing seemed to be going wrong, and for that she was glad.
So intent on making it to the water hole and making sure Sunny stayed with her, Cheshi did not notice anyone else around them- least off all creatures who were so much smaller than lions.

Nearing the watering hole at a reasonable pace, Sungura continued to smile and follow along. Cheshi had gone a few minutes without glancing back and so the male was almost certain she'd make it without becoming nervous. The pale colored hare had a way of second guessing herself. Offering a supporting smile as she finally did glance back, the hare laughed and caught up to walk beside her.
"We're almost there now, y'know.." His voice was gentle and he offered his paw in case she wished to hold it. In an attempt to help Cheshi become more relaxed, Sungura tried to grow up a little bit. He couldn't always be running off and driving his close friend mad when she had enough to worry about.
Before he could say anything else, he heard the foot steps of two other creatures. It didn't sound like lions, from what he could tell, but other than that he wasn't sure. Sungura didn't want to worry Cheshi and so he only glanced around curiously, and silently.
