This question is directed towards the people of this guild that are active in there punk scene.Anybody else I don't really care about your opinion on this.
Why is there so much nihilism in the current punk scene?This go nowhere,do nothing attitude is completely asinine.I mean a music culture based on rebeling agianst society so stuck on a nihilistic attitude.I mean sitting on your a** and drinking beer all day changes nothing except the state of your liver.I'm not saying all punk is like this.It's just like an infection on the side of punk threatening to completely demolish it.

Like I said I do not belive that all punk music promotes this nor do I belive that all punks belive this way.I know that for a fact just because of the tons of punks I know,including myself, and the dozens of punk bands I personally know and hang out with.I know the bands and people with this attitude are a minority but still it really bothers me that there are people who like at punk like this who are within the punk scene.
Well,while I'me here I might as well do a little whoring.This band is ******** awsome and really good friends of mine.Send them a myspace message or email telling them you'd like a copy of there first cd and they'll mail you a copy for free.

Punks are extinct where I live. I think the closest thing to punk is a mosher here. But they tend drink a lot 3nodding

hungryfatphil well whats left to do ? they get bored of rebellin in the end of the 80's or so If anyone tried to rebel nowadays you'd be sent to a therapist who'd report back to your parents "she's a troubled, over emotional child..." and get everyone to treat you like a glass ornament with extra sensitive ears. my teachers drove me insane the number of times they kept me behind to ask reeeeaaallyy geently "is everything ok..."

sleepy_eyed i never understood the whole social life cultures thing..... how does ones music become their lifestyle when that type of music relates to them I hate the whole label effect especially when ppl r wannabes, but really that's how life is today, if a few years, who knows.

At first I really avoided the whole stereotypes thing, but it's kinda impossible when practically everyone bases their entire lives on it. I found it funny that in some bigger schools mormon has their own stereotype, but I'm apparantly a weirdo/thespian whatever that is. I totally agree with the wierdo thing, but thespian? i go to drama club, I hang out with the people that go there but I genarally don't like being the centre of attention.
