They had travelled for many days towards the sea, so she could see the ting which Hasani had informed her of. The khaki coloured femme never pausing despite the pain in her foreleg. Her left foreleg, twisted at birth, pained her as she travelled but she always simply continued onwards regardless. She wanted to see the world, ever since she was a cub, under the watchful eye of an over protective mother she had dreamed of the outside world and here it was.
|It was the sound of waves which awoke her as the birds rose to sing their first song to the sun, though she could not see the great 'watering hole' as Hasani had described it, she could hear it and smell it. the scent of salt and fish and other things which her nose could not describe came to ehr nose on the mornings cool breeze.
The ruby eyed femme slowly got to her paws, avoiding putting any stress on her foreleg. She cursed the appendage mentally. It had slowed their travelling espenentially. A journey which should only have taken a few days had taken them much longer, but at least the sea was finally in reach. Kinamasi knew full well she could never stop travelling, it was in ehr blood to see the world which she so longed for, and despite her disability, she was going to see it come hell or high water!
Leaning down she nudged her companions cheek, he looked so peaceful sleeping. She had grown very attached to the large male whom helped her hunt and directed her through her travells. Even in this short time she had decided she couldn't possibly do without Hasani, she had to travel, she had to see the world, she wondered would he come with her on her travels? Would he take her every where or would he tire of her adventuring? These were questions that would have to be answred at a later date, for the rush of a wave in the distance made her jump and laugh at the same time. "Hasani! Oh Hasani what ever is that noise? Come on I have to see!" With that said she clambered over the rocks, racing three legged towards the sound which crashed in her ears.

Hasani had been sleeping really soundly. The sea was one of his favorite places because of the calming area; the sound of the waves, the salty crisp air, the sand... and then there was Kina.
Now... Hasani hadn't minded Kina waking him up early in the mornings to get the head start on the journey, he knew she was just trying to overcome her limp and not slow us down. Why? he wasn't sure, Hasani liked the slower pace for a few reasons. But, after almost 5 days of waking up early when all the big fluff wanted to do was sleep in till the sun was up high... Well, he could keep himself under control.
Hasani sighed, and sat up. What he got was a full view of Kina's backside rumping away from him. He smiled and got up, all grudges, however stupid, thrown to the side. To cute.. to cute. He sighed again. What he had learned over the past few days, was that Kina was a very sweet girl, and he had a small atraction to her. Something in those beautiful red eyes, or the way she'd lean on him. It was nice to feel needed, he hadn't felt that way... ever, and he hoped it wouldn't stop when she had seen all that she wanted to see.
"Wait for me, Kina!" He said, happy to finaly make it full circle back to the Ocean, and happy to be here with someone too. He romped after her, folowing the same way she took, the same way she took it. [just because. XD] And low and behold, after the rocky ledge, all one could see was white sand, sea shells, drift wood, and Bluuuuuuuuee. Hasani sauntered over to Kina, noticing that she was favoring her hurt leg again, and nudged her to lean against him. "What do you think, Kina?"

Kinamasi was silent for a long time as she took in the aweinspireing view of the sea. Her ruby red eyes followed the rise and fall of the waves, her heart beat in time with the endless lull of the tide and alls he could do was sigh. When Hasani joined her at her left side she leaned against him gently, releiving the pressure from her foreleg. She had hardly noticed that Hasani did this quite often when she limped the most, so used, already was she to having him at her side.
Barely able to tear her eyes from the sight before her the little khaki female raised her gaze and smiled. "Oh 'Sani! It's the most amazing thing ever!" a low happy growl rolled over her tongus as she said this and she couldn't resist another happy sigh, her gaze could hardly take in all the wonder that was teh ocean.
"Sani why is the ground down there white?" She giggles and looks up at him her gaze set firmly upon him now, it was question time, Hasani she had found on their journey together was a fountain of knowledge, if she asked he usually had an answer to her questions. He was so wonderful, she relied on him so much, she simply preyed he would not leave her now he had led her here, she needed him , not only to see the rest of the known world, but for other things to. She had to admit she liked the big fluffy male, with his comforting words and gentle encouraging help.
"Can we go down and touch it? It's so strange I'v never seen earth so white before!"

Hasani locked eyes with her for that brief moment, and couldn't help but smile. "That is sand.." he said, half breathlessly, not for the view, either. He caught himself and smiled again. "The waves crash against the rocks and break them up into fine little pieces, that makes the sand soft and depending on the color of the rocks, white."
He looked up again so her eyes wouldn't evoke that again, so hetried to ocupy his mind with teh waves. But, she gigled and talked, and he looked down again. "Of course we can get closer! Do you think this was all we came for? To watch? Come on! "He said, taking a step forward. "Touch!"
He would try to ignore that little slip up again, why'd it happen, though? He'd looked in a thousand different eyes, that only had happened one other time....
He walked towards the crashing waves and the soft sand, leading Kina.

Leaning tightly against the masked male the young female trod slowly down the rocks beside her friend. Every so often she would whoop, or coo as she spotted something new, a strange rock formation, a beautiful shell, a small pool of water where she could see her dark reflection and those deep red eyes which sparkled like rubies with ehr excitement.
As they finally reached the sand her paws slowly came in to contact with the moving earth and she giggled happily. "Oh 'sani it's soft!" She grins leaping forwards unable to hold in her excitement despite the pain in her foreleg, she bounced around int he sand causing plumes of gold to whoosh around her almost like the waves of the sea. She fell to the ground and rolled only to leap once again to her paws and shake the pale sands from her dark fur with a flurry.
She looked back at the dark masked male and smiled serenely, her beautiful red orbs gazing back at him. "'Sani it's so wonderful here. Thankyou for bringing me." She coos padding back along the disturbed sand to touch Hasani's nose with her own. "I never would have seen this wonderful place without you 'Sani." She whispers turning her gaze quickly back to the sea so that the older male could not see the embarressment in her eyes.
"Come on I want to sit in the eater." She finally quipped, looking up at her large companion for a moment, her tail flickering as she hobbled off down the beach. This was certainly a dream come true and Hasani had made it possible. He would take her to more beautiful places wouldn't he? She hoped so, her heart leapt in her chest as she thought it, yes her heart hoped so too, she didn't wnat to be without Hasani on her travels, not ever.

Hasani smiled as she noticed all the new things around her. He couldn't remember his first visit to the Ocean, but he was sure he had been just as excited as her. Running around, feelings the soft, welcomingly warm sand fill the spaces between your pads... The sea air.
She turned back to him, eyes.... Oh. He noticed he was staring again, but didn't mind it this time. She was doing it too, making him smirk. Did he have some similer effect on her as she did on him? They touched noeses, and he felt an overwhelming urge to nuzzle her, be right next to her, warm... "You're welcome," He said, just as breathlessly as the time before. He collected himself as she turned, but his urge was still there.
So he followed her, eyes lingering a moment on her behind before he hurried closer. Ooh, such a cute sway. His paws hit the warm sand and it felt really nice, just like her remembered the sensation. He sat down a few good feet away from where the waves rushed and looked back to his traveling companion. "Kina.." He whispered, his voice a bit choked. She was beautiful, he realised again, in the sunlight.
He forgot what he was going to say for a moment. He turned away and laughed. It was those deep ruby eyes that got him everytime, never mind the cute sway she had to her hind qurters, or the way she loved to play with his mane, those eyes cought him offgaurd almost every time. "Heh, Kina." His voice steadier now that his mind was for the most part clear. "Kina, how long would you like to stay here? Ehh.. How long do you want to stay away from your family, I should say."

Her toes dabbled in the sea as Hasani spoke, her dainty paws patting at the forever moving waves, the splash of salty water lapping at her maw as she did so. Looking back to Hasani she limped up the beach to him and leaned against him, resting against the large male and laying her cheek against his fluffy mane.
It was one of many things that the little swamp lioness loved about hasani, hsi soft mane, she could snuggle against it for hours. Letting her mind wander to the sea for a long moment, the sea and whom she was here with, her train of thought was interrupted by Hasani's question. "Hmm? Oh..Well I wish to see the whole of our world, so I suppose a rather long time." She sighed happily. "Perhaps I will go and visit them at some point just to let them know I am well , but really, I don't think I could ever truely return to the swamps, I like the world so far and I know theres alot more of it to see."
She giggled as she rolled off her perhaps childish fantasies of 'seeing the world' but it was her dream and she knew she could see quite alot of it if only Hasani would stay at her side. "It is so beautiful here Hasani, maybe we can stay a few days, does the sea have frogs? In the swamps where there was water there were frogs and mudskippers and they were very good eating if you could catch enough of them."
She gazed up at the dark mask of her companion, finding herself lost in his features for a long quiet moment. What would she do without Hasani? He was her friend, her map and her teacher, and perhaps, she even hoped more? Her heart skipped a beat as she thought this, and she smiled in a gently radient manner, she liked the thought and wasn't entirely sure how to air these words to Hasani, after all if he did not return her affections she would be once again alone and having to face her world traveling without her companion. When she had left the swamps, it had been a great thrill to be alone, but now, with Hasani at her side she truely didn't wish to face the world alone...

Hasani held his urge to nuzzle her back, still unsure about himself and what he wanted. She was warm, though, and nice, and he wanted her that close. He realised he was beating around the bush with that question, but how does one say something like that? Feelings are so hard to put into words.
He smiled at her, then turned his gaze back to the water. "I think we can stay for a few days, the rest of the world wont disapear if we do." he sighed, happy. It was wonderful... here, being with someone. He stared out to the far horizion, loosing himself in thought of what to say next. Thankfully, she releaved him of that.
"No. No frogs here. Lots of fish, though. A bit later, when the sun is higher and the water clearer, I'll go fishing for some and you will see how big they get here." He looked down at her then, only to see that she was looking at him.
Oh! Those eyes. So Red, and familier, like he'd known them forever. He gave a silly smile at her, realising that she was giving him that same silly stare as he was her. He felt sudenly at ease, the pieces fell together in his mind, it had been so obvious! He let a deeply soft laughed that rumbled in his throat, then leaned closer to her, licking her cheek. "You are very pretty, Kina. I don't think I ever want to stop seeing your eyes. Will you go with me...? I want to show you everything." He whispered in her ear, feeling a bit to embaressed to actualy look her in those deep eyes.

Fish, well she guessed it would be an aquired taste but she was excited to see Hasani capture some of these creatures. She so wanted to try everything in this strange new world she had walked in to. "Fish, yes I would like that very much." She coos her ruby eyed gaze resting gently upon the big male.
Unable to tear her eyes away from his when he turned to face her she felt a flush of embarressment, which, if her cheeks were not so dark would have presented a deep red flush, he had caught her looking up at him. She admired Hasani so much. Clearing her throat the coy little lioness attempted to look away but found herself drawn to the dark masked face.
Of course when he uttered that question her heart nearly exploded in her chest. "Oh 'Sani!" She could think of nothing more to say at that moment, her wishes had come true her worries escaped like a million fireflies from an opened jar. "Oh 'sani thats all I want! I want to see the world with you, I thought I would wish to se it alone but 'sani I just..I just can't do without you!" She looked awquard at these words, wondering if Hasani would take them well. She wanted to stay with him to be with him, that was all she wanted, the world just wouldn't be the same without him beside her. "I never want to leave your side, will you show me the world?" She whispers leaning upwards to nuzzle his downy cheek.

His heart was beating faster then it should be when he was resting. He could feel the tenseness over him as she accepted his request. It still didn't go away, but it was a good feeling all over, Excitment! He nuzzled her back this time, unafraid, making effectionate noises from deep within his chest and throat.
"The World and Beyond!" He whispered, trying to keep his cool and usualy soft spoken temperment. It was very hard not to jump up and run! Not away, but....AROUND! I mean! He just couldn't be still, his tail thrumped lightly but meanfuly on the sand as he tried to calm himself.
He fell backwards to his side, away from Kina so not to fall on her, and just laid there... Just laid there. Then, as his companion had done earlier, rolled around in the sand. 'Sani had Snapped. [XD] He rolled around, laughing happily and then, he jumped up. He stared over at her big Red eyes, and pounced, knocking her over without much remorce, and started to lick her face all over, nuzzling inbetween so he could whisper in her ear "Your beautiful", "I'm so happy too", and finaly "I-I love you."

Kinamasi giggled like a school girl as she watched Hasani, his antics had become childlike and she couldn't help but grin, he was so cute playing in the sane a large hairy cub.
Of course when he pounced her her laughter broke out all the louder as she tried to nuzzle him back, her tongue going at a mile a minute, her nose touching his mane and face, her paws wrapping around his large shoulders.
Her laughter stopped as he spoke, a silence whispering for a long moment as she gazed in to Hasani's eyes, admireing him, he was so handsome. Her chest lifted and fell slowly as she listened to his words and those deep red eyes smiled back, she could hear every word he said, though her heart rang in her ears at the excitement of this new admission, her breath loud against his soft fur.
"'Sani..I love you too." She coos planting a single lick upon the tip of his nose. "We can see the world together it really just wouldn't be an adventure without you." A soft puury sound echoed from her chest then her ruby red eyes holding his and a serene smile plastered upon her face. It seemed she had finally found her place but it wasn't a place at all it was a person. Her place was with Hasani.

Hasani rolled off of her, so they lay facing eachother on the sand. He just stared at her, his.... mate. Ooh! That sounded nice. It was a nice thought, a nice reality. They would travel everywhere, he would tell her everything, and she would always be with him forever.
Forever was a nice thought, a very nice thought. Forever had been from when Hasani could remember to now; Alone. Now Forever ment from this moment on till he died; with Kina. He let a goofy smile fill his face as he watched her.
"Lets go fishing." He said, grinning. It would be very nice to swim in the water with her, as she wouldn't know what to do! But, he would teach her. Hasani Tau stood up, careful not to hurt her paw while he untangled himself from her. "We can swim, and eat, and take agood long nap. In a few days, we can swing over to the jungle, and then... well, We can decide later!" Live for the moment! He gave her a wink and sauntered off towards the water, then ran into the waves.

She almost hated that Hasani distangled himself from her embrace speaking of fisahing but she let the momentary dissapointment leave her as he spoke of fishing. This wonderful new way of eating he had described. "Okay but you'll have to teach me 'Sani." She whispers padding up behind him and padding in to the water the waves beating against her dark paws. Catching up to Hasani the waves soon lapped at her belly, she didn't wish to miss learning to fish, though Hasani was there to help her, and always wouldbe, it was such a wonderful thought.
Peering in to the water she watched the cool clear waves as they lapped and splooshed against her body causing little foamy ripples to cascade away from herself. Perhaps unknown to Hasani, Kinamasi could indeed swim, she had grown up in the swamps after all, but due to her game leg she was not a strong swimmer, right now, food was on the agenda and her stomach rumbled to proove it.
She giggled embarresedly tugging at Hasani's mane with her teeth. "So show me what to do." She grins her ruby eyed gaze fixed upon him, in the last few moments, somethinghad changed between them, he was no longer just her tutoir, he was her mate, it was something she had never thought of having but somehow she had aquired one. She couldn't help but stare at her big hairy mate, a rather silly grin plastered on her face. She and Her mate would see the world together and this was just the start of their adventures.

He was belly deep in the blue waters when she started to tug on his mane. Smiling down at her, he laughed. He belly rumbled. Well, so did his. They were hungry! Time for food, then! He moved deeper into the water, so it would be just a few inches below his nose when he looked down.
"Well, first, you have to be really still, wiggle butt." He said teasingly. "The fish get scared really easily, so being still is key."
"Now, spread your front paws a bit... there you are. Okay. Now, stand still and look down. We have to be pretty still, but once they get used to us, they'll go in and out of your paws. Its pretty cool, they have pretty colors."
Here, Hasani Tau demonstrated, looking down into the water. He lowered his voice down to a whisper. "When one gets right below your nose, you just put your face under the water and bite down!" He waited.

Kinamasi smiled listening to the larger males words, her soft downy ears perking as she looked down in to the water. Taking his advise she stood very still though she could nopt help but giggle at his words. "Wiggle butt?" She grins in a silly manner looking up to lick at his cheek. She was highly amused by Hasani's jibe, he was such a sweetheart.
Pulling her mind back to the moment and situation at hand she tried to concentrate on the lapping waves which kissed at her paws, looking deep between the salty foam which lapped at her belly searching for that much needed food. It wasn't long before fish started to circle their paws, she waited quietly, wondering when the best time would be to strike. Her tail twitched slightly as a large fish fluttered right below hernose and she dove in to the water after it, her jaws finding flesh and bone before she rose back out of the waves fish in mouth but spluttering and trying to clear her eyes of the salty waters.
Shaking her head she sprinkled water every where, blinking wildly until her gaze cleared and she could see Hasani once again, herr ruby red gaze smiled, the fish betwene her jaws still wriggled slightly but she wasn't sure how to kill it. These waters to say the least were not like the ones in the swamps, they were muddy but certainly not salty. She looked at Hasanoi for guidance, what was she to do with the fish now she had it?She could almost taste it upon her lips as it slowly stopped wiggling between her jaws. Her belly rumbled to remind her that she was hungry but she waited, she wished to eat beside Hasani.
