Today was a bad day. I knew something bad was gonna happen today. I asked to stay home but, "Noo~oo. You have to go to school and catch up on months of missed schoolwork! >:["
Damn, my mom sucks. But anyway. I was freaking out in first and second period. Although second period was better, since it was art and I was with a good friend of mine, it's still pretty shitty to be freakin' out for an unidentified reason.
Anyway, so after lunch I've calmed down or whatever. Fourth period (which is our last period. You know that if you're in the Ontario region), me and my friend Steven hung out in the smoking section with some of his Gr. 12 friends. I turned around for a moment, and they all chuckle.
"What is it?" I ask, and they assure me it is nothing.
After waiting outside the grade nine assembly for about twenty minutes (I have a grade nine class last period and my teacher was in there), I finally get my books out of my class, and I go to my bus.
My boyfriend's friend (who is a complete a*****e, may I add), starts to ******** roar with laughter after I turn around to sit down.
"What the hell is it now?"
He just keeps laughing.
I get home, and guess what's on my a**.
A nice, big period stain.

It's never happened to me, personally [thank god], but i'm always paranoid about that happening. Funny you mention it, i was actually worried about that all day today. I'm paranoid. >>;;[/tmi]

It's never happened to me, personally [thank god], but i'm always paranoid about that happening. Funny you mention it, i was actually worried about that all day today. I'm paranoid. >>;;[/tmi] I don't really worry myself over it when my flow isn't heavy.
But usually the second day for me is horrible. It's about the third day now, and it's never been this bad. :[ *barely ever leaks* <33

That sucks. I have thick heavy plaid skirts that I have to wear over shorts, so I don't get any stains.

Something like this happened to me when I was in grade seven, back when I was still wearing pads all the time. I was wearing these light, tan-colored pants, but this was soon after I got my first period, so I was pretty new to the concept of where to position the pad. Later, I realized I had it positioned too far towards the front. Anyway, in the middle of my class, I sneezed, and ended up with this huge red stain on the crotch of my pants. gonk I didn't have anything to cover myself, so I had to spend the rest of my day trying to tug my shirt down far enough to cover it. I ruined both my panties and my pants. emo It was a bad day....
Now, I always try to make sure I wear black skirts or darker colors, like brown or blue or purple, when I have my period. I definitely avoid white, tan, and any other pale color! Less chance of anything showing if something leaks. Plus, it's better now that I'm in college - if something did happen, I could just catch the bus home to change. Still, the incident made me totally paranoid - that's one of the reasons I stopped wearing pads.

That happened in 7th grade, but I was wearing a black skirt. The only time I was happy to wear that uniform, I'm super paranoid too. Oh man, yesterday I had MASSIVE cramps at 2 am I couldn't sleep and It hurt so bad. I took some ibuprofen but it took a few hours to work.

Rebel Sheep that's why i'm scared to use tampons D: i don't want leaks... Tampons are actually pretty good. Normally, leaks occur when you don't use the correct absorbency or when you leave them in for too long. I used tampons for a good six years and I never had any major problems. I loved using them - so much more comfortable than pads.

only eve happened to me once, when i was on a French exchange. i don't think anybody else noticed though seeing as i was wearing dark trousers. but i went and sat down for the rest of the day pretending i felt sick. > x <
i found that my period got lighter as i got older, though. C:
but i always stress about it anyway and get paranoid that people are looking at me 'cause i have a huge stain. xP

it was so embarrassing. no one saw
but the way i was trying to cover it.
it was retarded. i kept on walking backgrounds
my back to the wall as i walk. agh! D: horrible
day! and i was wearing WHITE pants.
O.O i hate periods. mine is heavy. -_-
and i have it now...

Word to that. Plus, you can actually tell if you have a leak fairly easily by feeling, unlike pads. Plus, if you get the right brand, they're about the size of your thumb and can be transported with what, zero hassle? My kind of lazy.
To the OP: Augh, that sucks. Some people need to be smacked upside the head, and hard. I've never had that happen to me (knock on wood, though), but yeah, periods in general kind of suck. Sorry it sucked so hard for you this time 'round.

I'm always worried that if you did leak, no one would tell you about it if you didn't notice, so you look like an idiot with a huge red stain all day. It's even worse when people laugh at you for it. stare
