Bright cerulean hues blinked blearily in the early morning light as the large stallion roused from his slumber, head near to the ground as he yawned tiredly and hauled himself to his feet. It had only been a day or two since he'd separated from his female flutter friend, deciding they probably needed a little time to themselves, but he missed her already. It probably didn't go both ways, but he would have liked to think it did.
With a heavy sigh, the male stretched his forelegs before him like a cat, shaking his head to clear it of dust and dirt before he started towards the cave entrance. One onyx ear twitched at the various sounds of tweeting birds and wind rustling through the autumn leaves, hoping to hear the sound of hoofbeats or fluttering wings, but there was nothing.
Shaking his head once more and reprimanding himself for his childishness, he stepped out into the growing sunlight. He had decided to leave what they had alone- he wasn't willing to sacrifice anything under the pretense that she might have felt the same way- he may have been naive, but he wasn't dumb enough to think that love couldn't be unrequited.

During the few days that she had parted ways with Nahuel, the little flutter had wandered into a nearby field. There were few flowers here and the grass had started to turn. Autumn was close, she could feel it. Which meant that winter wasn't too far behind it.
Having returned to her smaller form, Roxanne took to lounging on tall blades of thick grass. Sunning herself during these last few warm days as soon it would probably be too cold for her to handle being out in the open like this. And too windy as well.
She thought about quite a bit during the past few days. But mostly about her encounter with the dark stallion. All that had gone on during that time and a lot about what had gone on towards the end of their little adventure. Occasionally her cheeks would flush but she'd clear her throat, giving a quick glance around to make sure no one had seen. But, of course no one was around.
Letting out a sigh, she flopped over onto to gathered tops of the grass, letting one wing stick up into the air. The warm sunlight made her a bit drowsy. Perhaps she'd take a nap today. Things had sure gotten boring.

Not sure if he should attempt to find his friend or let her have her solitude, Nahuel shifted back and forth absently as he stood at the cave's entrance. Azure irises were unfocused as he stared blankly into the distance, contemplating his situation with a seriousness that was wholly unfamiliar to him, and almost comical to would-be observers.
Feeling a light breeze ruffle the blue locks about his face, he leaned into the sensation, inhaling deeply as the smell of flowers drifted about his nose. Smiling to himself, he made up his mind and started forward at a brisk walk, suddenly awake and in a better mood. Perhaps he could pick a flower or two for Missus Roxanne to give when he did see her again, whenever that may be.
He hoped it would be sooner rather than later.

A small chirping sound caused Roxy's ears to perk and move back and forth. Who was it now? She had just started to drift off into a light snooze. Opening one eye, she peered around until her sights set on what was making the noise.
It was a giant grasshopper. At least giant to her at the moment. Its back legs rubbed together creating that insessant noise again.
But that wasn't what caught her attention. It was those huge mandibles. Even though she knew they only ate plants, it still startled her. She squeaked and rolled over. Before she knew it, she was falling to the ground. Spreading her delicate wings, she fluttered upward again. Getting high above the grass. "Huh...so much for a nap." Puffing out her cheeks, she eyed the grasshopper who was making quick work of her nesting spot before fluttering off in another direction in search of some place else to lounge.

Humming rather loudly (and obnoxiously, as a certain friend would probably point out), having regained his good spirits, Nahuel trotted merrily along his chosen path, stopping every now and then to inhale the scent of flowers. Dimly, he realized that it reminded him of his flutter friend, and grinned silently, resolving to keep one for himself.
Lowering his head to sniff at the plants, he moved towards a daisy that caught his attention, smiling to himself as he picked it. His ears twitched idly at the sound of a light fluttering, and azure irises lit up as he lifted his head hopefully, glancing about the area in hopes of catching sight of his small friend.
Upon spotting her, flying rather agitatedly away from what he presumed to be her previous resting spot, he called out to her, the flower still hanging from his mouth as he trotted towards her. "Missus Roxanne!"

Ears twitched as she heard a familiar voice. And really, only one Soquili she knew called her 'Missus'. Letting her wings fan out, she glided in an arch towards the larger stallion, her tail giving a few subtly flicks.
Roxy lingered in the air for a moment, flapping her wings to keep her airborne. She didn't want to chance him stepping on her. Gods knew he wasn't all that graceful, which that thought made her laugh just slightly. But then again, she remembered that she could change her size anyway. Landing on the ground before he reached her, she began to grow in size as she let loose her concentration. And now she was about the same size as a normal Soquili.
Turning her head slightly, she batted an eyelash at Nahuel with a devilish smile. "Hello again."

Grinning brightly like a fool as she landed and began to change size, he fidgeted lightly in a sudden burst of nervousness- but for the life of him, he couldn't understand why. It didn't deter his smile, however, and remembering his manners, he dipped his head clumsily to the now only slightly smaller mare. "Hello!"
Her mischievious smile caught him off-guard, and a burning heat rose to his cheeks again- although, again, he couldn't figure out what it meant.
Pausing a moment as he remembered the flower in his jaws, he shifted minutely in a new surge of shyness and embarassment as he took a step closer. Grinning despite the uneasiness, he offered her the daisy, pawing the ground absently. "I picked this for you. It may not be as pretty as the one in your hair, but it reminded me of you."

She laughed softly as his cheeks grew even darker than they already were. He was still pretty young and not all together upstairs, so it was probably all confusing for him as it was for her. At least thats how she figured it.
Giving the daisy a little look over, she smiled. Taking it from him and weaving it quickly but carefully into her tail so that she wouldn't loose it. "Awww, thank you Nahuel. I've never gotten flowers before, its really sweet." Stretching out her neck a bit, she touched her nose to his before pulling her head back. Bright blue eyes danced in the bright sunlight as she gave her wings a little twitch.

Smiling brightly at the praise, he almost jumped in surprise when her nose touched his, and wondered at the warm fuzzy feeling unfurling in his stomach. It was strange, but not unpleasantly so, and it ended all too quickly, leaving a brighter blush in its wake- but his smile only grew.
"You're welcome!" he returned brightly, shifting slightly on his feet as he heard her next comment. "Never?" he said with a slight frown, seemingly pondering this a moment before the smile was back. "Well, I'll just have to do it for you more often, then!" He admired the white blossom in her dark locks. "It looks real pretty on you!"

"Nope, never." Her cheeks flushed a bit darker pink. "Well, I don't want you to burden yourself with having to do such things. But its a heart felt thought non the less. But if you really want to..." The Flutter moved closer to him, turning her body so that they were side by side and letting her wings touch against his body. "I wouldn't stop you."
Roxy moved her tail slightly, glancing back at the flower that stood out like a soar thumb amongst the raven strands of her tail. "You think?"

"A-ah, I don't m-mind!" the stuttering was back, along with that pleasant warm fuzziness in his stomach, although he didn't seem to mind the latter. The blush on her own cheeks was encouraging, and he smiled even as he stumbled along his words as she sidled up to him. "I-if it makes you h-happy, I w-wouldn't mind at all!"
Following her gaze to the daisy settled into the soft strands of her dark tail, his smile turned warm and lost it's nervousness as he answered in the low voice that seemed to surface every now and then. "Of course. It looks like it belongs there, on you."

Roxy fluttered her wings as she gave an equally fluttery laugh. Nahuel's stuttering sometimes was pretty funny and cute all at the same time. She nosed his cheek lightly this time. "It would make me happy."
"Perhaps I should put more in there if it looks that nice?" Her ears gave a few idle twitched as she looked around at a few more of the daisies and other random flowers that littered the field. "Maybe some different colors to. For a little variety."

His own flush darkened at the affectionate gesture even as he grinned widely, shifting so he could look down at her and offered an enthusiastic nod. "Th-then I will definitely get m-more flowers for you, Missus Roxanne! E-every day!"
He looked down at the flower in her tail at that suggestion, nodding again and smiling brightly at her before he stooped to scoop up more flowers carefully in his jaws. "Here's a pretty blue, to match your eyes! And purple would look good too..." he didn't notice he was babbling, somewhat nervously, on about the various colors as he picked them- but at least he wasn't stuttering anymore.

She giggled once more at his proposition of bringing her flowers every day. The Flutter really didn't have any place to put them. Normally she didn't stay in one area for too long, and she really didn't have much of a home to keep things either. Perhaps she would go search for a place to put them later. "Ok, if you think your up to the task of getting flowers and bringing them to me, every day."
Nosing at each different colored flower, she smiled. A small lyrical laughter escaping from her painted mouth yet again. Taking each flower he picked, she put it into her tail. Making sure they were evened out amongst the dark hair. "Ok, I think that looks good." Her ears twitched this way and that as she glanced around for a moment. But instantly those bright blues turned back to him. "So what are you doing out today? Wandering around on your own?"
