The sole girl to Hasidi and Chaukari stalked happily through the supposed haunted part of the forest they lived near. The boys seemed so silly for saying it was haunted, it looked like every other part of the pride's lands, just a little more congested. Her paws sunk into the mud and each time she pulled them out they would make a suction noise. She walked in a way that it made a pattern with the sounds. Nakupenda giggled and trudged a little deeper into the woods.
Her giggles echoed in the eclosed space and her voice bounced around hauntingly as she muttered and made noise. If anyone would be walking near by and did not see her they may assume that she was a ghost indeed, her haunting giggles and echoing sounds that she made. In the dim midday light it would be hard to make out her red panda pelt, but easy to spot the pink mane that ran down her back.
Squish, Squelch, squish, Squelch.

Jini had not gotten much sleep the night before. She had been restless and, no matter the position she tried out, she had been uncomfortable. It had been abnormally hot and humid, even for the Kusini lands, and the young lioness hadn't drifted into the land of dreams until the first few rays of light from the sun peaked over the horizon and swept across the ground.
The ebony colored lioness slept peacefully on a large patch of multi-colored moss at the very edge of the forest, with her back to the sun and her head tucked under her front legs to decrease the amount of light visible through her eyelids. Jini's imagination liked to run wild, sometimes without any sense, and it was because of this that she dreamed as much and as often as she did.
Nakupenda's laughter and the soft, squelching sounds her feet made as they squished in the mud penetrated the boundaries of her dream and fit right in. An image of a large, terrifying underwater creature with six arms floated into her head. It giggled, pursed it's ugly lips and mimicked the sounds Nakupenda's feet made.
Jini, who was still sleeping, twitched violently.
