The Sun is white.

Sayuri had slept that whole morning and now to wake up only to see the moon. Sadly it was covered by the eerie clouds.. Her gray wings fluttered as she saught to find where her brother's child was. She was suppose to take care of him but he left off with his father at the last minute to visit their guardian.

Had they came back? No. No they weren't back yet fore she knew that Yoru would have curled on to her tail and cling to her for sleep. So they weren't there... She sat up from where she lay. on top of a Moselem. Her night fur had made her just like a shadow of the night. Her eyes bright glowed brilliantly. Her gray clouded paws hung over her knees. She liked being in the graveyard. Also.. she had warped her memory around the female she had known a while back. What was it now.. Weeks.. Months.. Days she had met her.. She kept popping in to Sayuri's mind. Those glowing alluring red eyes.. The wraps around her; knowing that under them was a hidden beauty.. The graveyard went silent.. Maybe the ghosts weren't out today to play tag but Sayuri was up.

Her hair flew with the breeze that past that made her night fur look more like the sea of stars and her hair sparked with the shinny blue in them. Did she wish that the one meeting with this female was more than just the thought of it being all a dream. Her thoughts seemed to be more thoughtful now.

"Did you make your new Path.. did you keep your promise." She asked the moon. Hoping her female counter-part did keep it. For Sayuri kept hers...

It wasn't daylight, but Leinth was mindful nonetheless. The moon may have been beautiful, but it was also bright, and for the moment she took refuge under a gumdrop tree. She was also relatively at ease, something that caught her by surprise as she folded a stack of bandages. Even the visit to her human's shack didn't bother her as much as they usually did. But then, life wasn't as much of a disturbance these days. While parts of her were pleased to find moments of peace where before there had only been darkness, on the whole Leinth was confused. While she had an inkling of where the change had started, and even where it might end up, she had no idea what it all meant.

She let herself be absorbed by her task. Unlike the bandages that covered her, these were clean and new, not quite white but closer to ivory, soft linen that felt nice against her fur. There were several strips, each of which she rolled into a cylinder. There were only a couple left, and it was mindless work that she could do without having to worry about things.

A momentary thought snuck into her brain- had she been living up to their bargain?

Leinth blinked, and the bandage roll slipped from her grasp, rolling away and quickly out of sight. Hissing, she glared at it. Then she just sighed and got up to chase after it. Not running, of course, but walking just fast enough to try and catch up before it rolled too far...

So much things happened. She had met many others... but she reserved her rightful place. She wanted to be fully dedicated to someone..
and she'd wait.. for as long as the other...would like. Waiting for the chance to be helpful to them. She wanted to be needed. But her promise to a certain numa made her live things up. Like the chance to star gaze as she did. Train her skills and doing stuff for her..instead of others. She learned many things.. and hopefully.. but still. Would she ever meet that ONE special numa she could live for? ....

She opened her wings and flew across the way. Landing promptly on the way towards the older parts of the graveyard..
Her steps were few before something rolled on the back of her footpaw. Her hair lifted in to a turn when she went to see what bumped in to her.
"A roll.. of bandages?" She asked softly and lightly took the roll in to her paws.. examining it. A new roll? Was it? Where did it come from.

Her tail whipped around her leg; making a short lightening like noise in a crackle. Her ears went up as she smelt a scent. Much familiar from a while back.. Was it... was it- Her glowing eyes looked around not seeing anyone then went back to the roll. Thoughtfully.

While Leinth was annoyed at the inconvenience, her legs, stiff from inactivity, welcomed the exercise. She moved a bit faster, not allowing herself to run after anything, but a bit worried about the bandages rolling out of sight. She paused for a moment to berate herself, and the roll did just that.

"Of all the-" Trailing off into incoherent mumbles, Leinth trotted towards where she'd last seen the roll, her eyes scanning the ground intently. There were no bandages in sight, but there was... a tail? Automatically Leinth took a step back, tensing up, but when she saw who the tail belonged to, she softened.

Was it coincidence that drew them together this time, as it was before? Or was it all part of something bigger?

Not ready to speak, she stood upright and folded her arms, her eyes darting from the bandages to the ground, and back again.

When her sight was inhabited by the numa of long past, her heart swore it could skip a beat at any moment. Or. It did... because she didn't feel much of anything, A second later she gave off a grin. "Hello... and who might you be~" Teasing for she knew this numa.. which she held close to her 'heart' because of a promise.

"Yea know... I could lose myself in your bandages.. but they seemed to have found me and lead me to you.." Her voice went soft as her grin became a soft smile.. Her wings softly resting on her back... her paw holding on to Lenith's bandage roll delicately... like a treasure... Her ears went back and all her features had calmed yet inside she felt so excited.. that she could burst. She had finally found the numa again.. finally.. and it wasn't just a dream that she had slept and thought of as real. Her eyes glowed more brighter as her freatures lightened... Her fur seemed to have a better glow when they last met. Also... Sayuri had now better able to express herself. A lil...well. In a rather odd way but at least she had learned to put herself out there... and Sayuri noticed immediately of the newer bandages... and how they looked on this numas frame... she could hardly take her eyes off. In a somewhat awe.

At the question, Leinth's eyes narrowed, and a corner of her mouth twitched. She was sure that it was meant jokingly, but her sense of humor was generally a bit stiff and cracked around the edges. She didn't take kindly to being made fun of. Still, this was all about second chances, and she decided that this strange one was due one.

"Is your memory so short?" she asked dryly, but said nothing else. She wasn't sure what else she could say, that wouldn't be pointless. And then, she just couldn't think of anything else to say at all. Any thoughts she had, good or bad, simply vacated her mind.

Leinth had taken it for granted that they would meet again, and surely enough, they did. Apparently the feeling was mutual, which didn't surprise her. But was it coincidence? Fate? Or something in between? And in the end, would it really make a difference?

"I... yes," she stammered, her voice husky as her mind searched for something more important to say. "Could... I need those back," she finally said, gesturing towards the bandages. That was what led her this way, and it was a good enough start.

"Nothing wrong with memory here. I couldn't ever forgive myself if I forgot a gorgeous faced Beauty." She tried.. to expressive herself more. Exspecially if she... thought so much about a person. Which she didn't take kindly too. She wasn't use to that... and it never happened. Only with this one...

"Are you gunna change your bandages?" She asked a little more softly as she walked closer to the other numa.. "If so.. then unless I help you put them on.. you can't have them back." She looked at her.. with a serious but kinda... facial expression. Which kinda looked weird on her.. since she developed.. a rather odd feeling around this particular numa. She felt the banages tenderly as she held it in front of herself.. holding it close to her. Her tail flew up in the air, then curled like a squirrel's tail would. Behind her. Her ears went down to her skull.. Hoping that the other one would accept her help. Glowing green and yellow eyes swirled ...alluringly.

Leinth's mouth opened and closed once, but this time she was better prepared. "Is that right? Well then, take care you don't misconvey your meaning," she retorted, still feeling a bit cross, and a bit uncertain. "I would hate to see you upset by the results one day."

The next question was a bit more of a neutral topic, and she could answer without having to think about it. "I don't change these," she said, almost blankly. "I was doing something for an acquaintance, rather. That is over, but I will need those for next time." It was a simple explanation, really... so why did she feel so uneasy? Part of it, she felt, was that she was in unfamiliar territory. No one she'd met before had taken any interest in her. Certainly she hadn't taken any interest in them.

Then she fell silent. Even if she did change her bandages, how would she feel letting someone see her in that state? She couldn't imagine being comfortable with letting anyone see her looking vulnerable, or weak, or anything other than the way she wanted to appear. It would be even worse with someone she actually had an interest in.

Quickly she brushed off the uncertainty, shedding it like a sweater, and stood tall again. When confused, it was best to change the subject, and worry about it later. "However, that is none of your concern. What I would like to know is what you're doing here like this. I would say it's late, but perhaps that matters not to a child of the sky."

She absorbed everything the other was saying. Absorbing... until she guessed it was time for her to talk. Her hair fell in to place, above her left eye before. Her cheeks puffed a little as she inclined her head just a lil, and her chest fluffed up. Causing her back to arch as she rathered up all the courage and outgoing part of herself she struggled to have.

"....Its not late trust me.. Its pretty early for how long I've waited for you. I thought maybe years til I meet you again." She shook her head. "If you want me to be direct then. This- I have been looking.. countlessly around the graveyard.. wondering if maybe. Just maybe I'll see you. And if you are changing your bandages.. I would like to help. Aid you...
....
....
.... Madam Leinth." She finally said. It made her rather up all her courage in saying this. She recovered from saying something with all he rmight.
"I hope that was conveying my feelings right and no misundertsandings." She got kinda hopeful but at the same time she felt that she will be shut out at any momen but she still felt confident. She grew up some since the last time they saw each other. Her tail was thicker- Her paws more stronger.. Yet her eyes went familiarly soft.. as she gazed on the numa.. "And the promise I still kept... " She clarified.

As soon as Leinth had regained her composure, it slipped again. Somewhere, in the back of her head, a voice told her that it was due to her lack of socialization. That if she wanted to be better at this, at talking to people, understanding them, that she'd have to get more practice. Another voice said that if all people were going to confuse her this way, she'd be better off living in a tree. Or maybe in a crypt...

Her own voice, back in the real world, was frozen. When it finally thawed enough to speak, she managed to get out one word. "Why?" Then, swallowing her fear- where had that come from? "Why... do you do this?"

"Why...?" She repeated like a mockingbird would. Instead of moving backwards like she would have before. She stepped forward- then another step til she could get at least skin close. "Because... I am entangled in your presence.. and it got me thinking since I met you madam. Understand? ...
I went in every crypt.. every grave.. and finally I saw your name..
....
....
It made me want to find you.. and hold you.. I do it cause I want you...
I want you to be happy and smile. I got to thinking when starring at your grave.. and waiting ... and keeping the promise I made to you..." She got a little sad. She thought she was pushing the fine line too far. What will the other think. She had to know though!
"And I get nervous ... and fustrated.. when talking to you.. and I didn't mean for you not to understand-" Her wings opened widely and then gave a flap..

"I do this.. to attempt to make you smile.... and I am.. lucky to have found you finally.." Her tail whipped around her as she brought a loose paw finger under the other's chin. Her eyes glowing unusually bright.

The quietness that came form this numa made Sayu's heart race. So quickly that she felt like it would implode with feelings. She wanted to show this numa... that her feelings were only.. and that no matter how much numas the other and herself met. This was different. And she hated not being able to be with her or see her.. or make her happy.. She didnt even make her smile yet! She was so disappointed. but she was happy to be around this numa again..

What was this girl thinking? How could anyone possibly find her, someone the world left for dead long ago, so fascinating? It wasn't that Leinth didn't have confidence, but that was about different things. She knew how to act, and how to keep from sinking below her level. But she didn't always know what to think, especially when somebody acted so unexpectedly that she couldn't predict their next move. And she certainly didn't know how to feel.

Maybe it wasn't that she didn't know, but that she had forgotten. Whichever it was, when faced with someone who not only understood their feelings but acted on them confidently, Leinth was rather out of her element. This was something new, and if she was going to get any information about dealing with it, it would have to be firsthand.

"I... don't know what makes me smile," she answered honestly, thankful her voice wasn't the type that squeaked. "It's been too long. But I was interested in you too... you aren't like the others, are you? You have lived in the darkness too, in a different way." Hers seemed to be a more natural darkness, rather than imposed. Perhaps it explained why the sky-clad girl could smile so freely, could be so free with her words...

Then she felt her cheeks, actually touching them with the pads of her paws, uncertain. Was she... smiling?

Her eyes watered, but she refused to let herself cry. Still, her voice wavered with her next words. "I just don't know... what to say around you. I can't predict what you'll do, so I have to go out on a limb." And that scared her, but she wasn't quite ready to admit that. With more of a smirk than a smile, she added wryly "You do know how to keep a girl's interest that way."

"A girl's interest? You mean yours." Her glowing eyes went dim.. to show the precise designs in her eyes.. She listened to each and every word... quietly.. and when the other girl's eyes started to become moist.. it almost made Sayu tremble. She- was interested in her too!? That was a huge shock.. she .. was full of joy but she couldnt react to it...

But she was composed.. first time she could just let out her feelings.. the fustration she felt trying to find the numa.. and finally coming to find her. Made everything she did worthwhile... upon the words.. she found herself closing the empty gap between the other and herself... Then she embraced the other.. The warmest.. she could.. to convey every feeling she had. Seeing that smile made her heart skip..

"I... get nervous when Im talking to you...and im nervous around you and feel like I cant talk sometimes.. and sorry that.. I didn't hold on to you sooner.. And- the only interest I have is you. Im sorry I didnt find you sooner.. sorry I wasn't born sooner... to hold you close." Her heart felt like it could collapse at any moment.. what was she saying! Everything flowed out of her in such ease.. Her tail curled around the others.. and she loosened one paw to stroke the other's hair..

"Cause Ive done now is live-... but.. you made it have meaning.."Her heart started to ease a little.. but it was still beating fast.. Her ears lowered as she gently nuzzled the other for acceptance..

She guessed that.. if the other.. thought Sayu was too much for her.. she was willing to accept rejection. Anything the other would say... she would support her. Because..she hadnt realized that she fell so hard.. for this numa til she said the words that came right out of her heart that she had left abandoned for so many years.. She wanted to say 'if youll have me.. i want to be there for you' but that didnt come out. Her maw was sealed from all she said.. and now she had to wait .. and just hold the femme she held so dear.

"I do mean that," Leinth said truthfully. If she was going to turn over a new leaf- a funny thought, for a grizzled tree like her- being honest was a good place to start. "You can't find it that unusual, if you say that I hold your interest as well." That was the odd part, not the other way around.

Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward. At least her next words came easily. "Don't be nervous," she said sternly, but also kindly. "There's no reason to. You need to be confident in yourself, and in what you're saying, or no one will want to listen." Including herself, but she didn't say that. It seemed unkind, and for some reason, Leinth didn't want to chase this one away. Not now.

At first she flinched at the touch. It was so alien, so strange... but once that wore off, she noticed that it was really nice. And warm, so warm. After several moments of just taking this in, and wondering what she was supposed to do, she simply let her head drop on the other's shoulder. "You'll need to show me what the world is like these days," she said simply. "I had thought it was too noisy for its own good. But if beauty like this still exists, there may be hope yet."
