I think it is very interesting how human touch can intensify many things.
How when a stranger touches your arm and asks the time, if he were to drop something, you're so much more likely to pick it up than if he never made contact.
How in this society and much of today's world, you can't be like a pile of puppies with your friends, boys and girls, after a certain age, and boys and girls as small children... it seems mostly only acceptable if they are siblings! Why is that?
Why has it become such a common notion that all affectionate touching is conveyed to everyone as romantic and sexual when two people are just leaning on each other comfortably?
Sometimes people think parents even cross this line by sitting close with their children, and people sometimes sadly are on such a high string viewing everything as abusive in a sexual way if the parent is just comforting a child. Which is sad, as this indicates in a way the frequency of abuse that can actually happen.
Human touch can strengthen your intimacy with another person, of course, but not everything has to be sexual.
