I've decided that I want to write a book, but I am going to need help. Hence why I am posting this in the main forum BT, rather than the literature. Just so it gets seen. wink
Here's what I want to do. I want to create a book that is somewhat like the Chicken Soup for the Soul books... only LGBT style.
In it, I will also feature select art, stories, and other things. But the main thing will be advice on surviving a world that still doesn't understand homosexuality, and to educate the curious heterosexuals. I also want it to serve as something parents can turn to in order to better understand their gay child/children.
So I want it to be informative, as well as entertaining.
So what I will need from everyone here are stories, advice, art, and life experiences.
With the stories, they can be true or fictional. In order to keep a good limit, they need to follow these guidelines:
-Ten pages max
-Arial font
-Font size 11
-Preset margins upon opening MS Word, max
That way everyone gets the same amount of typing space.
Poetry is accepted as well.
No mature content.
Allies are welcome to submit.
Stories can be of being an LGBT ally.
Please also provide a pen name (can be your real name or a pseudonym), working email address, age, and location (just state/province and/or country) when submitting anything.
Let me know here if you have ideas or questions.

Also, if you send in photography featuring people, I will need copies of model release forms. I will give you an address they can be sent to if this need arises. I can also direct you where to get them from.

Are you gonna keep the front page updated? Like with what all you've got, how many stories/real life experiences you have been sent, stuff like that?

I would love to submit my story to be put into the book. And possibly some of my photography. I don't have time to write it now, but over winter break or something i probably will. I just need to know like the "style" of writing I guess it needs to be done in. Let me know how I can help.

Right now I'm just working on building a website to put all the information and updates on to make it as universal as possible. <3
