Sangre padded out through the trees, searching for a river to bathe in. The moon shown overhead in a crescent. There was just enough light for her to see where she was going. The scent of mud hit her nose and she turned west, almost into what she thought was the river. "I didn't hear it though..." Sangre dipped her tail in the water. It was a lazy river, moving slowly around her tail. "Ah, that's why."

Konane slinked through the trees, barely visible due to his colouring. "It is quiet, even for how slow it is," he added, lapping up a bit of the water. He stared blankly at it, grinning. Abruptly, he turned around, and ran off further into the woods. "Back in a moment!"

Sangre had barely enough time to look up at Konane before he dashed off. "Where is he going? Did he forget something?" The female asked herself. Shrugging she walked into the water, shivering at it's cold temperature.

Loud laughter rang through the trees as he ran back, taking a great leap and splashing into the middle of the pond. As his head broke the surface, he shuddered, shivering. "Oh, gods, how I wish I'd-d known it was c-cold!"

Sangre laughed and shook her head. "That's what you get for diving right in." She paddled over to him and tackled, submerging his head. "It get's better the longer you're in it, though."

He flailed about under the water, pushing her under with his tail. "True, fair enough," he grinned, diving back under of his own accord.

Sangre kicked about and tried to tackle him again. Easier said then done, of course, in water. She did manage however to head butt him in the stomach. She laughed, comming up to breathe.

With a grin, he burst up behind her, opening his mouth to chew on her ear. "Hey, that would have hurt if we'd been on land!" he teased, tugging playfully on it.

Sangre playfully growled. "Yes it would have. But it wouldn't have been as funny!" She spun around, freeing her ear from his jaws. The fox put her front paws on his shoulders before grinning sheepishly at him.

He smiled back at her, his tail wagging happily in the water behind him, large waves stirring up. "Happy now that I'm here with you?" He asked, licking the top of her head.

Sangre nodded. "Of course!" She said happily, licking his muzzle once. "Will you be my mate?" She asked him, bobbing to the waves he created.

He grinned, blushing hard enough to warm the water. "If it will make you happy to be by my side, then of course, my dearest Sangre." He waved his tail more at her, before lunging through the water to nuzzle her cheek.

((Lol.))
Sangre smiled, blushing slightly. "Thank you, Konane." Her voice was soft. She nuzzled him back. "Shall we get out of this water? I think my paws are numb."

He laughed, nodding. "Well, I suppose that if the water flow hadn't cleaned us, any dirt would have frozen off by now." With that, he swam towards the shore, pulling himself up akwardly and shaking off. "I'll help you warm up once we're both dry."

Sangre swan toward shore and got out. In one spazzy movement, she shook the water off and made sure her joints worked. She fluffed slightly, but not by much. She laid down on the grass and sighed. "Much better." She curled up, warming her paws.
