Nsundu rolled onto her side, brown eyes half open as she stared out into the Pridelands. A successful hunt, and now it was time for a refreshing nap. Catching birds took a lot of effort, even for the Savannah's coolest quadruped. You had to be super quite and then just leap at them out of nowhere. Even then the birds would fly away. If you didn't get them on the first leap you then had to leap up even higher to pull them from the air. All in all, it was very tiring, and now the young lioness was taking a well deserved nap.

Well, at least she hoped to take a well-deserved nap.

Tizona was stalking through the rather tall grasses managing to blend in quite nicely with it. The only thing that gave away her position was her tail that stuck out quite far out of the grasses. Of course the cub hadn't noticed that an was continuing to crawl with her belly to the ground.

Her bright yellow eyes peered through the grass looking for a target to practice her hunting on. However no prey beast was in her line of view, instead there was a sleeping lion. Perfect! She approached the other with caution ready to dart out of sight at the sign of even the slightest movement.

When she deemed herself at a comfortable pouncing position she arched her back ready to pounce.

Nsundu's mouth opened wide in a yawn before she blinked sleepily out at the Pridelands. She had been hanging around here long enough to know that border patrols were rare, and so she wasn't very concerned about having a lion sneak up on her. Besides, she was almost as brown as the dirt she was lying on. Her tail flicked absently, though the young lioness didn't seem to notice the stalking cub. She was far too sleepy, and the very fact that she was on the border of a large pride pretty much guaranteed her safety from violent rogues. It wouldn't be so bad for her to just close her eyes...

[Tizona can pounce and land on her (or whatever you'd like). Nsundu's not going to move. XD ]

Tizona's ears flickered at the sound of the other's yawn but found in non-threating so she went ahead and attacked! "RAWR!" The rambunctious cub cried as she leapt into the air.

Unfortunately she had misjudged the distance and barely overshot Nsundu. She landed rather heavily on her side and slid a few inches. She waved a paw about frantically as she slid trying to make some contact with the other to prove she wasn't a complete failure.

When she finally stopped moving she let out a groan. "Ow."

The young lioness had just set her head on the ground and closed her eyes when out of nowhere some brown cub came roaring out of the bushes. Nsundu's eyes flew open as she sat up, only to watch as Tizona misjudged the distance and flew right over her. Only the flailing paw nicked her ear as the cub went soaring past, but it was still enough to jolt Nsundu out of her sleepy state. Even so, she could only blink as the cub landed, body turned rather awkwardly to just simply stare at her would-be attacker.

"What the heck was that?" She demanded, getting to her feet and moving towards the cub. Who stalks a larger lioness, I mean honestly?

Tizona quickly scrambled to her feet at the other's bark. She smiled cheerfully despite her rather embarrassing failure. "Well, it was a failed attempt and pretending to hunt something?" The cub offered with a big smile. "I saw the opportunity and couldn't resist. Sorry." She told the other rather sheepishly still grinning.

Pretending to hunt huh? A failure indeed. The cub had gone right over her back! She'd even been sleeping! Nsundu's tail flicked with the slightest hint of irritation as she studied the cub. Well, she'd said sorry, so the lioness wasn't going to hold anything against her. Kind of a small cub though (or maybe Nsundu was just getting larger?). Still, she definitely needed some practice in hunting.

"Look... whatever your name is. You really need to work on your jump. Why don't I go lie down and you try that one again."

Tizona didn't like the silence that had settled between her and the bigger female. Her ears flattened against her head and she bit down on her bottom lip. She wasn't exactly sure what to say or to do now, Nsundu seemed...not happy in the slightest about her attempting to 'hunt' her.

"Tizona." She stated really quickly. "My name is Tizona." She then shut up again to listen to what she had said. Instantly her face brightened up. "Really? That would be absolutely fabulous!" She exclaimed in excitement.

Tizona. Right. She would settle for Tizzy, since Tizona sounded way too formal and not to Nsundu's tastes. It must be a Pridelander thing to name their children such noble names. "Okay, Tizzy, you go back to your bush and I'll go back to the tree. This time don't miss."

With a yawn Nsundu returned to her previous place, flopping back down underneath the tree. There, she was in place. Now it was up to Tizona to make the jump.

Tizzy? She liked that nickname! It sounded fun, and that was what she was all about.

She nodded her head to the older female before bounding off to the grass and saying "Yessum!" She went a little farther than before into the grass before turning and flattening herself against the ground. Slowly she approached the other and returned to the position that she had been when she first jumped.

Readying herself she arched her back, narrowed her eyes, and focused on her target. This time when she leapt into the air she didn't cry out, she was too busy focusing on where she was going to land.

Hopefully it would be on Nsundu rather than the ground.

Nsundu glanced up at the sky, pretending as though she didn't notice the approach of the 'hunting' cub. She was a bit loud when she moved through the grass, but they could work on that later. Right now she needed to be able to jump and land in the correct spot. Hopefully her mother would be the one to teach her real hunting skills, but a good jump would hopefully put her ahead of the class, so to speak.

The young lioness grunted when the cub landed on her, sending her rolling backwards into the tree. "Now that was much better Tizzy." She got up and shook herself, before glancing up at the sun. Oooh, she had better go. There would be patrols soon. "Well, catch you later Tizzy! Keep up the good work!" And with that she bounded off.
