She didn't know how or why, but Ku had managed to convince herself to wander away from her lone tree, again. And she had gotten herself lost. Again. Most importantly though, she was in a better mood this time though, as she had managed to catch her first prey in several days. A young rabbit dangled from her jaws as she pranced back toward where she hoped her tree was. She was quite too happy to seem lost, but lost she was. She'd find it eventually though, she always did.
Ku's stomach growled, and she stopped, frowning. She had hoped to wait until she was in the safety of her tree to eat, but she was so hungry... She shrugged, and began to eat, rather sloppily at that. She didn't care how exposed she was out here, she just wanted to get some food in her as quickly as possible. Occasionally her steely eyes darted around, searching for danger, but seeing none she resumed her 'feast', which was really quite a meager meal, but it was all she had. Once finished, she sighed and began cleaning herself of the blood. She hated the tedious task of washing her body, but she also knew that it was not safe to go around smelling of blood.
"I wish mother was here to do this for me." She mused to herself between licks, "Somehow it was less boring when I didn't have to do it myself..."

Kuumia was on the prowl, looking for anything and everything to bug and bother, or maybe even bully a bit. She wasn't the nicest of things. She was tiny, concited, found herself to be the prettiest of any cheetah around. There was hardly a time when she didn't find herself superior to those she was around. Her lime face turned in the direction of home, wondering is Xana would still be there when she returned. But knowing that silly thing he would sleep until she woke him up.
Amber eyes glanced around, she smelled something. It was faint but still there. The small of fresh blood lingered in the air and she followed it. There was probobly something there with it. Graceful paws carried her to the unknown destination, and she found herself stalking a young... thing. It wasn't anything like she had seen before. It was like looking a lion, exept it was small like a leopard. Such an odd combination.
She snuck closer, at the cvery least she was going to scare the little thing.

Ku continued murmuring to herself about how much she missed her mother and how she used to bathe her, taking no notice of her 'stalker'. Once she finished cleaning herself she proceeded to poke the bones of the rabbit boredly, "I guess I should be getting home soon." She paused. "I guess it's not really home though. I want my REAL home." She grumbled to herself, continually finding reasons to complain.
"I guess I'd still better get going though." She admitted, walking so close to the cheetah, that it was a wonder that she didn't notice. Her nose was well trained, but she was too depressed to care about strange smells anymore. They usually turned out to be nothing out of the ordinary... Besides, everything smelled strange around here.
"I think I came from this way..."

'Perfect' She smirked. The little one was so preoccupied and consumed in her thoughts she fdailed to notice a dangerous, full grown, cheetah. Kuumia waited until the little one was almost in frount of her be for springing out into plain view. Her amber eyes filled with malice and teeth white and threatening. Kuumia looked down menicingly.
"What would something so little be doing out alone?" She growled, trying to scare what ever it was. Uumi looked it over, it wasn't anything she had ever seen before. It confused her. There parts of lion and leopard that shown through. Was that even possible? No... It couldn't be. She let down her gaurd and sat down, still staring at it.
"What ARE you???" She asked she face twisted into confusion.

Ku skittered backward several feet, hissing indignantly out of shock, but surprisingly stood her ground and glaring back into the eyes of her attacker. She was easily surprised, but not so easily scared off.
"First of all, I'm NOT little." She growled, "And I can take care of myself, that's why. I'd appreciate it if you didn't go around surprising me." She grumbled, slightly off-put by how calm this... Thing seemed.
"I could ask you the same question." She sniffed, "I'm half a leopard, half a lion, but you... You don't look like either one." Freak. She thought to herself, considering herself to be quite normal.
"So if you're going to eat me or something, can we just get on with it? Or are you just toying with me?"

Kuumia kept her gaze down. "If you're not little then why do I have to look DOWN at you?" her anger bubbled inside of her. Usually she was the attacker, scaring away anything that was almost half her size. She was intimidating. But this weird thing was standing it's ground. 'How strange' she thought, huffing to show her irritation. SHe was not going to take the things rudeness lightly.
"I'm a cheetah. As in... Faster and smarter than you would be. Half breed." Kuumia's face lit up as the cub sugested 'eat her' that sounded perfect since it probobly wouldn't shut up unless she did so. She stood and took small, slow steps towards the halfbreed, wondering what to do with it. Her small game of just wanting to scare it turned into something much different. It had offered hadn't it? And it deserved it if it was going to talk like that.
"Eating you seems like a fantastic idea." Kuumia purred and stopped, staring at the halfbreed girl in front of her before trying to pounce on it.

"I don't know, maybe you're just freakishly huge!" Ku retorted, irritated. She did not like the idea of being talked-back to by someone who she considered to be a freak of nature.
"Oh? You think you're smarter than me?" Speed, she had to agree with. The creature had much longer legs than any she had seen before, but smarter? She doubted that, even though her own brainpower was limited, her confidence in herself was quite high.
"You think so, do you?" She asked, still thinking that this was just an argument. "Well, maybe I ought to-" She realized her mistake just in time, sidestepping out of the way just quickly enough to avoid being pinned, but not quite fast enough to keep from being hit by a sharp claw, which cut deep into her front leg. "Hey, what gives?" She panted, already bolting for the nearest tree.
"I was just kidding!"

"I was just kidding" She mimiced, but this was a new game, a more fun game with a bit of a rush to it. Her heart beat sped up as the sight of crimson blood caught her eye. She had never hurt something on 'accident'. After all, she just wanted to pin down the thing and bite at it, nothing to harmful.
Kuumia waited a moment before chasing after it. The things sure was easy to catch. With a smirk on her face she trying to catch it again, grabbing at it with her paws. "And I'll have you know that I'm small for my species!" it was true. She had to look up to most cheetahs, but she thought it made her prettier, more desireable. Who wanted to be a big fat cheetah anyways?

Ku scowled, but did not slow down. She hated being made fun of, but the task at hand was more important. She reached the tree, and with a quick jump, she was halfway up the trunk, her small claws digging into the bark as she scrambled toward the inconveniently placed branch so far above her.
But the tree was old and dying, the bark flaked away easily and with every desperate step she took toward the branch, she seemed to also be going half a step backward. She redoubled her pace, barely reaching the branch before her pursuer reached the base. She wrapped her forelegs around the branch and dangled for a moment, before pulling herself up the rest of the way, perching quite precariously on the creaking branch.
She panted, glaring down at the green cheetah with a satisfied smirk on her face, "Small? You? Ha, someone's in denial of their FATNESS!" She lied, as the cheetah was quite lean, but she knew that one of the best insults that one could use on a female was calling her fat.
"I'd like to see you try and eat me now!" She stuck her tongue out at her, "Cuz if there's one thing I know, it's that only leopards can climb."

Kuumia jumped at the ugly thing, grabbing at it. She knew it was still a good three or four feet abouve her head even when she jumped as high as she could. This was not going to work, maybe coaxing it down THEN eating it would work, But how could she form kind words when she was such a nasty and mean cheetah?
Deep in thought, she wondered how it would be possible to get the Thing down. She knew it wouldn't come down. But it was worth a shot. But such a quick change of personality would be untrusted. It was either give up or try to be nice slowly. Ans honestly being nice was not something that she wanted to do. She hated it.
"Come down here now! You.. You.... THING!" Kuumia had to admit, calling it a thing was getting rather annoying. "What is your name thing??" Her eyes narrowed as she heard something about Fatness. And she tried to get at the thing again. This was going to be a long night.

"Yeah, like I'm that stupid." Ku growled, her tail lashing back and forth. "I'd TOTALLY come down there when I'm nice and safe up here. Not like you can get me." She scoffed, "And my name is Kumbuko, and I'm the daughter of Limbuko, god of pleasure! So you'd better watch what you try to do to me, because if he wanted to he could make the rest of your life MISERABLE!"
Ku laughed at the thought. Daddy was too nice to do such a thing, but she loved threatening people with his power. "What's your name, FAT thing?" She lay down on the branch, as if she didn't have a care in the world.
"Or should I just call you 'fat thing' until you leave?"

"I've heard of you're father. A God of being fickle. I also heard that he never stayed to see any of his children. Some father, right?" Kuumia was just growing irritated at the thing named Kumbuko. Not like kuumia was going to tell Kumbuko he name. That was something she didn't do to things that could have been dinner. So, why should she stick around.
"I wouldn't bother in calling me anything, seeing as I'm leaving." Kuumia turned in the direction of home, all this moving was making her tierd. And argueing wasn't helping at all. "But I wouldn't sleep for a while. You never know when I'll get you. Cause I promise I will." Malice had returned to her voice as she began to walk away. The ugly little hybrid was hardly worth her precious time, she might as well have stayed home and had a nice evening with Xana.

"Yeah, he hasn't stayed with me, so what? He has a domain to take care of, it'd be selfish to stay with only a few of us." She scoffed.
"What, after all we've been through?" She growled sarcastically, "But I'll sleep like a baby, fat thing. I live in a tree, remember? And thanks to our friend gravity, you can't reach me." She teased, leaping down from her perch gracefully and landing with a soft thud, padding off in the direction of her more permanent residence; she had seen it from her perch in the tree.
"And I'll have to keep you up on that promise, fat thing. Until we meet again." She laughed as she trotted lazily toward her own tree near the small watering hole, not a care in the world. She had little fear of things she knew would not be able to hurt her. In this case, the cheetah was one of them as far as she was concerned.
