Everyone has to see this: The Feed In a rather Gestapo-esque move, Microsoft has put barriers in place to prevent anyone from using their Xbox live account to promote competing OS, Linux. Whenever users try to create handles which include the words “Linux,” “Unix” or variations thereof, they get the error message, “Your motto contains inappropriate language. Please try again.” In related news, when users attempt to create Xbox Live accounts with any variation of the word “Playstation” their Xbox 360s display the red ring of death right after a message appears telling them that they have voided the warranty of their consoles. and..... The Feed So this guy gets a copy of the Halo 3 Epsilon internal beta through illegal means and decides to connect to Xbox Live with it. Long story short: he got caught. Not only did he get caught, but he got banned from Xbox Live... for 7992 years. Someone at Microsoft decided to have some fun with this banning and thought a flat out permanent ban was too good for this guy. Luckily for him, all he has to do is buy a new 360 and get a new Live account, but it's still really funny. Oh, and Halo 3 comes out really soon. Well, before 12/31/9999 anyway. Lesson: Don'f ******** With MS.......

dude if that causes the 360 to RRoD maybe it's all just a conspiracy man!!!! Maybe MS can trigger the RRoD themselves! mrgreen

Hmm. A thought occurs. You pay $280(or more)+$50, then get banned. That's not very cost effective. I don't think Ace will try that.
