Today was quite lovely, even Nahanni had to admit that. Normally, she didn't find too much enthusiasm in how a day was set. She just continued on her own timid and polite business. And now, she was sitting her, actually enjoying the shade of the tree above hre, and how it speckled the ground with strange shapes. The breeze was just enough to keep one cool.

The sashed kitsu gave a meep of a yawn, her murky eyes glancing around the green field. Nice and peaceful. It was comforting to get away from the hussle of home. And the constant news of yet more siblings have kits. Just...too much stirrings for her taste.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. It was simple. Much more simple than anything else he'd dealt with in the past. Memories that flooded him were things he tried to forget. If he'd done it once, he could do it again... except that time he'd been human. All these memories were human and that was annoying. It often gave him headaches, but he always grinned. Really he was just a happy-go-lucky guy. Hence why he was taking a walk. He needed to clear his head, so after a morning breakfast of milk and fish he'd begun trot across the fields. It was much less crowded here, and easier to listen to the wind. It was something Saya would've done.

Ah Saya.

But that thought quickly died when he saw another yawning about in the fields. Perhaps it wouldn't be best to disturb her, but his eye was caught by the sash. A sash like one from a kimono... and a kimono was what Saya had always worn. It was curious that though his thought had passed around an old friend, they now passed to a possible new one... a new one adorned in similar clothes.

"Hey there!" He called out. Usually he didn't make a fool of himself, or make him noticeable, but he was feeling more cheery today because of all the fresh air. Or something. Either way, he didn't mind having a conversation and maybe this other wouldn't either.

The environment was so calming, it was so near to having Nahanni fall right asleep. It was like a natural lullaby, so dim that you had to close your eyes to hear it. But, her thoughts were crossed when a voice appeared. Tan ears perked up softly, and she gave a shiny glance to the source. Another kitsu. But she had thought this area was empty of others.

She managed a half smile, knowing it was a customary greeting, to the other. But was the other looking for something? He had called out as if in a rush, or something. Nahanni blinked almost nervously, tilting her head. "Um, hello." She waited awkwardly for whatever may be said.

Either he was extremely tactful, or utterly stupid. Nobody really knew; for if he'd seen that he'd nearly awoken her would he have done what he did? Would he have apologized? He really was too carefree sometimes. Making his way to her, and then sitting down lightly, happy to rest a bit he offered his own happy grin that seemed to have a very odd manner about it. The bell around his neck gave a little jangle and his XIII tattoo was in plain sight. A breeze ruffled his hair and he looked around, keenly alert and then, once something moved from the grass to sit at his feet, he looked back at her.

"What're you doing out here?" It brimmed with innocent curiosity. "And sorry if I disturbed you..." It finally occurred to him to apologize. Though his happiness was more heartfelt than his sympathy. The thing at his feet seemed to be an odd little guardian creature, with the colors of the mysterious Kits hair tipping his black ears and tail. It too sat down and looked at the girl with seeking eyes, as if trying to look past the flesh for something else.

Nahanni just watched patiently as the male moved about, a happiness found in his step. He...seemed friendly enough. She blinked when he sat nearby, thinking that he was just by to quickly ask something. Guess not. Pushing up on her front paws, she moved herself into a sitting pose. Oh well, it never really bothered her. It was just her own anxieties that got in the way. This was just another chance to practice chatting.

"Oh, well.." She was going to respong to his first question, when he paused for a sudden apology. Nahanni shook her head softly. "No, you didn't disturb anything." Always the polite one, and never one to voice out conflicts anyways. "I'm just enjoying the location." Her ears perked when she noticed another; a guardian. "Oh, I've never seen one before." She flushed at her little excitement. "Sorry, my name is Nahanni." How could she forget formalities?

"Oh him? He's Black Cat," Train replied proudly, also having forgotten formalities. They usually slipped his mind on top of the fact that he never really gave out his name often. It often bothered people. Though of course, one name deserved another. He seemed calm though sitting here and adjusting his limbs a little he watched B.C. for a moment before looking back at Nahanni.

"I'm Train, it's nice to meet you." His golden eyes glimmered and he shoved his little guardian forward, with it muttering it's discontent. "Hush... you're interesting..." He'd never really had another companion before. Cats had always been his companions but never had one followed him this much and so he'd dubbed it with his former title and made it his new partner. Though it said very little, it was always looking out for it.

"Black Cat." That was simple enough to remember. Her eyes glistened as she peeked back up to the other kitsu. "Nice to meet you too, Train." Okay, the hard part was over. They had at least said hello without her sweating a storm. Now if she could just keep up a decent conversation. With her levels of stress, it might as well have been a final exam.

She turned her attention back to the guardian, giving it a soft and shy smile. "Hello there." She leaned forward, to lower herself and not appear too large or scary for the smaller creature.

The guardian however, was far from afraid. Simply he was picking up on the subtle signs the female kitsu gave off. A fairly interesting one. Though her eyes glistened, he sensed something behind it, but as tiny as he was he could not alert Train to it without being suspicious. So he offered her a kindly smile, as he figured Train's former partner Sven would've done (though Svenny-baby was a total flirt). "'Ello." Black Cat squeaked, in the only voice he had.

The former assassin watched his guardian for a moment before looking back at her though her fascination with B.C. was evident and he really didn't want to pull her away since he'd been the one to bother her in the first place. His tails swished back and forth and he wondered what sort of things normal people/kitsu really did. Did they simply talk like this? It sort of felt like he was rediscovering freedom all over again.

It was refreshing.

And that made Train laugh. It was so very amusing and entertaining that he couldn't help but adore the way things were. Without friends, without guns, without enemies... in a place where his memories were far and few between and maybe only dreams. Fantasies. It almost felt fake when he thought this way. Then, at the sound of the wind rustling his bell, he was reminded of his tattoo. It was a mark from the past.

And he knew he wasn't dreaming.

The abrupt end to the laugh was rather creepy, so he gave the other a gleaming toothy smile, filled with cheerfulness (and not the fake kind either). "I'm very pleased to meet you as well! I don't meet many people often! I'm sure B.C. is happy to make a friend too..." Though he really wasn't positive, no one else would ever know. He was too practiced at this.

Nahanni allowed a soft soft giggle, the guardian had a cute little voice. But her swell of emotion died just as quick as it appeared. She wasn't too good at remaining upbeat, even when others found it so simple. Like this fellow here.

The sudden laugh made her ears pin back, and she turned nervous eyes to him. Did she do something odd? Had she embarrassed herself without even realizing it? Tails flicked anxiously, before curling around her side as a simple comfort. The chime of the bell, as short as it was, made her blink as she waited for reasoning. Even as she was tense, that sound was pleasant. Just like the area around her. It was just...her nerves. Yes, she must get a grip on her nerves.

"Oh....I see." So he just enjoyed meeting others? That made sense for the cheery and sudden laugh. Nahanni could only muster a twitching smile while nodding. "There's many kitsu to meet around here."

"That's true. But can't you say the same for flowers?" Train said curiously.

"If all the flowers smell the same," continued Black Cat, "Why would you want to smell more than one. Two maybe for confirmation... but any more than that is just..."

"A waste of time." Train finished. He and the other oddly had similar thought patterns, though this one was much more cruel than his normal ones. He was trying to keep the edge off because he was testy at the moment, but B.C. had gone ahead anyway. No matter. Train soon forgot what he'd been worrying about. It wouldn't do to worry about nonexistant enemies or organizations.

It simply wouldn't do.

"Besides," Train said trying to seem more polite as he fished around in his pockets with a fuzzy paw. "Isn't it rude to go bothering people just to meet them. If I happen to be passing by, it's more like it was meant to happen... rather then forcing it to happen." Train would never use 'destiny'. He'd stopped believing.

After a moment, he'd found a fish cracker or two and they spilled out from his jacket. He chomped one up quickly and nose the other towards Nahanni. "Would you like one?"

Now that was confusing. How did they know what the other was thinking? Were they using magic, or were maybe psychic? Either way, Nahanni blinked as she pieced together the whole sentence. Just a waste of time. That...did seem to make some sense. But only a little. "Well, you may be surprised. Besides, kitsus aren't flowers." Right? She wouldn't push her opinion, it was probably incorrect anyway.

"I suppose." Meetings were things that happened, one way or the other. But yes, she didn't enjoy random meetings too much. "Oh, thank you." She took the little treat, chewing on it like a nervous mouse.

His cocky manner made him curious, and he watched her eat it slowly while he himself had already chomped his down. He had quite a bit of respect for others, especially females, even though it never really seemed like it. For all his jokes, he could be serious quite often though he chose not to. Those were the old days... the days with Rins, Sven and Eve. Those days just didn't happen anymore.

His ears perked up and he watched the wind rustle the grass along the plain and then his hair. A gleam shone in his eyes as he smiled evilly. It was a particularly amused grin that, if one didn't know him well, one would be most afraid of him. He softened it as he looked back to Nahanni. His fuzzy shoulders gave a little shrug. He sort of wished he could put his 'hands' in the pockets of his pants, as was his former habit.

It really was true when people said old habits die hard.

Nahanni could feel her stomach tighten, becoming more jittery as her eating style was observed. So she chewed quicker and swallowed, just to finish the little snack. It was odd to eat anything in silence. At her home, all meals and snacks had other siblingsaround, chatting and pouncing about in loud energy. Another reason she withdrew herself in the comfort of outdoors.

The wind caused her own hair to sway, its longer strands forcing her eyes to squint. Softly, she moved a paw to get the red strands back to the sides. Nahanni blinked when she noticed the grin on Train's face. She herself wasn't one to enjoy smiles, simply because they hid so many things. She had learned that much when she'd smile herself to strangers, knowing it only hid her tension and urge to walk away.

Her murky eyes turned away, glancing first at Black Cat, then quietly to the moving grass further out.

Expressive. He remembered. He'd been called expressive when once he'd been nothing but heartless. He killed without thinking, took revenge that wasn't his. He'd changed after Creed's sins and lived as a Sweeper. He was a stray cat... but at least he'd had a purpose. Something to do. And now... now there was nothing. He had nothing to do but live, and relive his past. It was slightly annoying, it made him almost wish for trouble.

His eyes strayed to watch the female Kitsu. She was so ...different from anyone he'd ever met. It was strange indeed. Sighing as the wind passed over them he lay down to watch the sky. "Is it strange? To do nothing?" He'd asked it without really thinking, but he did that a lot so it was no surprise.

Nahanni had rested her head on her paws, just absorrbing the average day that seemed calming. Her ears flickered now and then, some of her family magics refusing to settle in her control. At times, she could feel Train's emotions, but it was so quick, she may as well seen nothing. He was pondering, and whatever it may be, it stirred up many things to the male. All in all, he seemed.....bored? Antsy?

Nahanni wouldn't dare ask, but she didn't need to. Murky eyes peeked back to Train when he landed a sudden question. Do nothing? Was that what she was always doing? Was that...why others were always bored around her? "I don't know. It depends on what everyone thinks." There was no one opinion, that much she had experienced. And it made her tummy in kntots, to not know answers to questions. As if all of them could be answered by a textbook that she couldn't find. "What...do you think of it?" Was it strange?
