((for now just Kayla and Skada))
Penny had spent what had seemed to Naida like the last month fussing over the preparation for sending the girls off to school. Naida had packed her trunk shortly after their trip to Diagon Alley and other than a few final things she had used up until leaving and had mostly kept it that day. The morning they were scheduled to leave Penny was flying around the house like a crazed mother chicken while Naida calmly ate some toast.

Kiandra watched her mother zoom in and out of rooms, always carrying something different. She had never, in her entire life seen her mother so frantic about something. As she ate her breakfast across the table from her sister, she felt a little sad. The time had come, today they would be leaving their little home for the first time.

Naida sighed and finished, taking her plate to the sink. "Mum... it's almost time to go." Penny began yelling at the younger children who were already ready to go and didn't really need to be yelled at.
Finally Bob arrived from the upstairs with the trunks. Naida slipped a treat to Coco who was locked in a cage for easy transport and not happy about it, and took her shoulder bag for things to do on the train and something to munch on. Bob magiked the two trunks into the living room. The whole family would be traveling by floo powder to Kings Cross station in London and then the girls would have to ride the train to Hogwarts. Naida thought this was stupid, because they were already in Scotland and that's where the school was. But "that was just the way things were done" and apparently things 11-year-olds thought were stupid didn't really matter.
Naida sighed as her mother stuffed who-knows-what into their trunks, making a mental note to throw most of those things away (she was pretty sure she wouldn't be needing any potholders, honestly) as soon as she got into the dorms. She slipped into her shoes and stood by the fireplace completely ready to just go already!

After taking her last bite of breakfast, Kiandra brought her dishes to the sink and then grabbed her purse, put on her shoes and stood next to her sister.
"Well then, i'm ready to go....now we just have to wait for mom to get herself together" She looked back at their mother who was still trying to hide things here and their into their trunks. "She gave me a pair of dad's socks..." she signed and then turned back and looked at the fireplace.

"Mum, please!" Naida yelled over her hysteric mother.
"I'm just..." Penny tried to reason, but noticed everyone staring at her. "Fine, we can go." She scooped Sterling up and stuck him on her hip although he didn't like competing with her overly pregnant belly and squirmed something fierce. Penny then took Maris' hand, but the young child fought out of the grip and went to take Kiandra's hand instead. Penny huffed, but didn't argue. "I'll see you there" She said before throwing the powder into the flames and yelling her destination.
Naida was anxious to leave and didn't wait to be told to be next, she followed behind her mother faster than Coco could protest.

"Alright Maris, ready to go?" She smiled down at her little sister, then gripped her hand tightly and followed Naida into the fireplace. As they were reunited with Naida and their mother Penny, could feel Maris's grip loosen. "Are you alright?" she asked her younger sister, just to make sure she wasn't scared or anything.

Penny had made some comment along the lines of "what took you so long?" By the time Bob arrived with the trunks. Naida was already off marching to the spot between platforms 9 and 10 not really caring about the fact Coco was absurdly upset at being left behind. Naida had read up on the fact she would have to go through a wall to get to Platform 9 and 3/4 and was eager to see if it felt weird at all. She was also having fun watching all the muggles rushing about as if they had more important things to do than she did. None of them did, of course.

After Maris said she was alright, Kiandra looked back at the cage ontop of her trunk. Her gorgeous kitten named, Amaya was sound asleep. It was amazing what that cat could sleep through. She felt a sigh of relief that her pet was doing alright.
Kiandra turned back around and noticed Naida was already far ahead of them. She quickly picked up Maris and began to run to catch up. She didn't want her sister to go through to the platform without her. "Naida wait up!!!"

Naida stopped in her tracks and waited. Her mother was acting awfully non-muggle and standing out, not making Naida want to be anywhere near the woman. "Hurry up..." Naida crowed, "I can see it." She could have sworn she just saw a girl with orange hair disappear into a wall ahead of them, and she had lived long enough in the magical world to know it she was probably right.

Kiandra was out of breath by the time she finally caught up to her sister. "Alright, now we can go" she smiled and walked alongside her sister until they reached the section between platforms 9 and 10.
"This must be it" she said to her twin as she set Maris back down. Kiandra then turned back towards her mother and father. Tears were forming her the corners of her eyes as she walked over to them and gave them both hugs.
Once they let go, she turned towards Sterling. "You be a good boy while your big sisters are away at school" she smiled slightly then grabbed him from their mother and gave him a hug then kissed his cheek.
When she gave Sterling back to their mother, she looked down at Maris and gave her a quick hug and kiss on the cheek as well. "Now Maris, you're going to be the big sister while we're gone. I expect you to do a good job". Kiandra wiped her eyes then gave her younger sister a warm smile before standing back up and turning back towards Naida.

"Um.... Kiandra... what are you doing? They come with us onto the platform..." Naida took a great amusement in keeping a completely flat tone with her sister. Bob raised an eyebrow and went ahead and wheeled the cart with the trunks and cats through the barrier. Naida took Kiandra's hand and practically dragged her twin through.
She sighed when she got to the other side. "That didn't feel weird at all."

Kiandra felt compltely embarassed, she didn't realize they would be coming with. As they arrived at platform 9 and 3/4 she stood silent, with her arms folded and her cheeks a bright red.

Bob went and had their trunks loaded, as Penny began a long series of a very humiliating amount of crushing the girls against her pregnant stomach and weeping. Naida was trying very hard to look brave and unupset, which was carrying off as very overly impatient. Bob was getting quite frustrated with both Naida and Penny by this point.

Kiandra hugged her mother back, but she was still embarassed and didn't want to get too worked up. Once Penny let the girls go, she quickly ran over to her dad, gave him another quick hug, then told both parents she loved them as she walked back over towards Naida. "So then, when do you want to board the train?"

"I say the sooner the better so we get a good compartment..." She also didn't want to hang around feeling sad any longer. Penny and Maris and Sterling were all crying very loudly now. All the more reason to get away sooner.
