Okay, it's official (it's been for a while, anyway,) that I hate n00bs in Conquer.
Not the lvl 1/10/25/55/60 n00bs that nag you for plvling or money.
The other, really annoying kind of n00b. The "I r strong cuz my gear shines!" n00b.
I mean, there is something called level penalty, and in Conquer, there's also Potency penalty (which makes PKing someone with higher potency rate (calculated from gear quality) around your level harder to do,) so really...
A level 70 mage, no matter how awesome they think they gear are, will not last much against a level 110 trojan (barbarian.) Sure our magic defense sucks, but I'm reborn (we get 30% defense bonus,) and the level+proficiency difference makes any damage dealt to me by them laughable. Nevermind I have somewhere around four thousand life points. So in short, they need to hit me well over twenty times to kill me (did I mention barbarians can self-heal without potions?) and I only need to sneeze on them to send them rolling on the ground and back to town.
It's not even fun, I mean, I may enjoy a battle with another player who's at my level, but having to kill someone I know I'll kill in one blow? Boring.
Another thing that really nags me are those losers who think you will be stupid enough to get scammed or go red-named (when you kill too much, your name's color changes, and red name has a high chance of dropping gear when killed,) if they keep on coming for more. I have quite a nice remedy for them (but still doesn't make'em less annoying,) since I've got several accounts and some friends.
So, yesterday, this idiot came asking for 15 million gold (like, everyone in that game pays to get gold online... Not me, even tho my gear is worth a few dozen millions,) so I said no. It was obviously a scam (and stupid, too "do you have 15mil I can borrow?" rolleyes ) The kid kept on nagging me until I clubbed him down.
So he came back and bitched at me again. I clubbed him down again. (Mosquito + nag = squished) Notice if you kill other players three times in a row (either three different idiots or the same idiot three times) your name becomes red.
So guess what? He came back again. What did I do? Log into a friends' mage and vaporize the loser two more times. Then I logged into my archer and turned him into a pin cushion twice. By then, my trojan had one more go at killing the idiot without going red (the PK counter is timed, you lose PK points as time passes,) so I did just that. At this point, the loser was already trying to run away, not nagging me. Too late, dude twisted
After that, thing went like this: I killed him once more with my friend's mage, then with my archer, then logged into another friend's trojan and killed him two times more, then my own trojan had two more tries, then...
Well, I must've killed him around twenty times in a row. He stopped reviving and logged off after that. Spoilsport! rofl
I think the moral of that story is: Scamming hurts.

Reminds me of the good old days when i actually didnt spend all my free time just drawing and playing video games... xP ... yeah right ...

I was playing CounterStrike and we just started a game (my friend and I) and this dude kept shooting me ONCE I reappeared (I was buying stuff in the BUYING ZONE!) And he kept shooting me down until I was all, "Eff this. [out]"

My tip on that: Don't play CounterStrike.
It's the Runescape of FPSs.
"Walk for 20 minutes to find a camper. Knife it down like the idiot she/he/it is. Rinse and repeat."
I prefer UT/UT2004 all the way. 32 players in a small map, almost no place to camp in safely, and rockets and bullets flying all around you = real fun.
Oh and since this thread's on MMORPGs, I have a bone to pick with MapleStory.
WHAT THE ******** ARE YOU FOTHERMUCKING PROGRAMMERS THINKING GIVING THOSE SUB-HUMAN RETARDED IDIOTS THAT PAY TO PLAY STUPID UNBLOCKABLE MESSAGE BROADCASTING?
Yeah, in all too blunt caps of doom. I'm THAT pissed off at that new "feature."

Tibia. You can see my "bottom 10" list over at the Gaming forum (in the least favorite games thread.)
Tibia was all blissfull non-connecting-to-server minutes, slashing at pixel groups that somehow resembled rats and dogs, and getting PKed by those who were so fed up with the game they could only vent by PKing newbies.
Fun! In the not funny way.

... gawd when i play MMORPG's i always turn off local, trade and world chat ... heh, it may be multiplayer but that doesnt mean i cant play alone! xD

Seriously. The MMORPG I'm playing lately, 9Dragons, has several weapons you may use, but you only get good skills for two of them in the clan you join (out of the six clans you may join,) and hence, those two weapons are what you'll want to use if you actually want to level fast. And when you're getting through the quests to join each clan, they tell you the clan you're aiming for uses, let's say, sabers and spears as weapons.
So, when I'm running around, beheading wolves with my saber, and I see a kid with an axe and ten levels more than me who kills them at half my speed, I can't help but laugh at them. And point. And laugh harder.
Nah, actually, I've tried pointing this out to some of the newbies, along with the should-be-obvious leave no item behind tip... In these kinds of game, every item you pick up counts, later on, as gold when you go to an NPC, and 9Dragons is one of those games where you won't do s**t with only quest-gained gold and items (I'm level 40 and quests only give around 5k gold, whereas weapons cost over 20k gold, every two levels...)
And I've been called a cheater, too, because I love to play the market (an expression most MMORPGers will know.) I have the five garments of my current clan (to change looks. I bought them because I can,) which cost 50k gold each. I have weapons for ten levels in advance. And I have, right now, 350k gold left. And I'm only at level 40. Most newbies at my level are wearing rags and using weapons five levels under them.
My secret? I buy certain items used to refine weapons, which most newbies sell for 1k-10k gold, for their real price (200k-250k gold.) I have even been lucky and got two of those items drop from monsters (the items drop chance is somewhere around the 1/10000)
So I gotta laugh when they call me a cheater, or disregard my tips just because I'm at their same level (or lower.) It's not called cheating, it's paying attention to the game.
To sum it up: Ninjas don't use double axes, shaolin monks don't use shurikens (bad ninja movies aside,) and a drop of dragon's blood should obviously cost a damn lot of money. You're doing it wrong!

Whenever I see someone like that, and their level rank is in my "possibly killable" area, I go ahead and show'em pain. To put it in literary terms, "******** you and the guild you rode on in."
I'm anti-PK, but my anti-n00b side overrides that sometimes.
