Dawn was approaching as the sun barely peaked over the mountains. Only a leopard was seen awake at this hour, or thought said leopard. Yawning widely, Fitina flicked his grey-tan tipped tail back and forth as he shifted his body so that he was more comfortable on the branch he was laying on. It seemed that everyday all he did was every day was him attempting to get something to eat and then continue his ‘mission’ to find his twin sister.
“I wonder where she is,” he muttered under his breath. He wasn’t talking about his sister-he was talking about the leopardess he had met when he was an adolescent. He knew deep down inside he was worried about Alana and where she was right now. Curling his tail around the branch he was laying on, he turned his gaze towards the slowly rising sun. Another day was about to begin. Soon he would begin wandering again.
‘Why do I wander? Why can’t my sister be found?’ he thought to himself, his thoughts wandering back to his twin sister. It had been ages since he had seen her, and about a year since he started his search for her. Why didn’t she want to be found? Was she dead? He shook his head, pushing such thoughts aside. “She is alive. She has to be,” he told himself firmly, wanting to believe in himself. Deep down inside, he knew that she was probably dead. Maybe that’s why his thoughts wandered back to Alana so often.

Alana always hunted early in the morning for her cub. She wasn't really one to be much of a mother as her parents had died when she was young she didn't really know what a mother should be but she let her instincts tell her what to do and her cub was healthy and that is all that would moment for now. She loved her daughter, she was a strange hybrid but she was beautiful and Alana loved her as any mother would love their daughter.
She moved out the jungle area and into the plains looking for something that would make a good meal but be small enough to get home and into the top of a tree. She stretched out a little and moved slowly through the grasses, her white pelt sticking out somewhat in the area around them. There had to be some food somewhere.
Her ears flicked towards a sound, she stopped moving and just listened. Something was a little odd because what she heard was not food, she knew that but then it could be a lion and the last thing she wanted to meet was a lion who could easily kill her. She moved very slowly and carefully through the grass to where the sound had came from, her blue eyes watching carefully.
She then saw the source of the noise and a smile crossed her maw. She hadn't forgotten Fitina and nor the promise she had made him. She had not seen his sister though she had been watching for her. Tensing her muscles a little she watched the male leopard, counted to 3 in her head and then pounced him.
