I just wanted to inform you all that I haven't been very active as of late due to a full-time job, school, my equine responsibilities and other... time-consuming things. But, next week I am on part-time once again so I should have more time, given that my brother actually lets me on. ^^;
Anyway, I have missed you all and I love you. Jay, you and I shall rule supreme once more. *sticks the TEAM REMERUS flag in the ground and runs away*

Colin has one 'l'... And what if I mourn Charity Burbage most?
At any rate, I think we've all got stuff like that going on, so all is good.

*sigh* Well, Charity Burbage isn't important. I don't think I even flinched with her death. Actually, I think I laughed.

And power-hungry Slytherin loved those of great ambition...|> ---|I was a little sickened when she died, actually. I'm not a fan of senseless violence. I can understand the purpose of torture when used sparingly, but taking life is just so brutal and lacking in subtlety that I don't like it at all.

o sure just rub it in that im not in team remerus!!! When Burbage died I was like "Damn.....oh well." We were never introduced to her so we had no emotional connections with her.

I think that Severus' reaction to Burbage's torture and death (or rather, his lack of reaction), along with the Malfoys' reactions, made that scene a lot more powerful than it would have been otherwise.|--- <|Slytherin Pride!

I don't know, I didn't really like the scene. I thought the Malfoy's reaction really enlightened the readers on their changing opinions or hesitations towards Voldemort, but besides that... *shrugs* It wasn't something that I was really impressed with.

And power-hungry Slytherin loved those of great ambition...|> ---|I liked it. I think it was a good way of starting the story. It showed someone innocent dying as the Death Eaters - or some of them, anyway - looked on and wondered what the hell they were doing and how things got this far without them noticing. It set the stage for what was to come, and I liked that.|--- <|Slytherin Pride!

Yeah, I can see it setting the mood. Now that I think about it, it was a good way for the readers to see that it wasn't just an innocent child's book anymore. This book would be filled with death, and Charity Burbage was just the beginning.
