Gharadi sighed and curled up by the edge of a pool of water he had come across. He could see his reflection within it, and he would sigh, look, then turn away, and repeat it over and over. How could he go back, how? Would they hate him, shun him, banish him?

What about Soo and everyone else?

"What a I going to do?" he couldn't find his mother anywhere, he had no where to go, he felt so alone, and he wasn't seeing any of his friends anymore.

What could he do?

Amadet was not in a particularly happy mood that day, having failed at that afternoon's hunting venture she was limping slightly from having twisted her foot an odd way and getting hungrier. She would be fine, in the long run, but was in no condition to try to hunt anything big or terribly speedy again right away. The days when someone else would do the hunting for her, when she had a whole pride to back her up, were long gone and the now-rogue lioness was getting quite good at not thinking about it. Unless something was brought up.

She was in an area she was familiar with, and heading straight for the pool Gharadi was resting by. Amadet was not terribly social, and was more set on the idea of getting a drink than chatting at the moment so she was not set back by seeing a stranger there but rather ignored his presence and approached for a drink.

Gharadi saw a flicker of somehting out of the corner of his eye. Raising his head his orange mane fell into his view as his orange hues settled upon a female that was coming rather close, though she did not appear as a threat so he did not mind, if she wished to satisfy any thirst he'd let her be and come, it would be rude otherwise.

To show that he did not mind Gharadi scooted back from the pool a bit, then sat back down again letting his coat soak up the sun, he was tired and rather hungry, perhaps he should try to catch a hare or two, maybe. Though somehting gave him a slight worry, the female seemed to be limping rather slightly, was she trying to hide it?

When the lion moved, Amadet instinctively glanced upward to see exactly what he was doing. When he only moved back and relaxed again, she continued on her way and leaned down by the water's edge to get her drink. Kneeling was rather easy, and surprisingly comfortable for it allowed the lioness to take the weight off of her the foot she had twisted in the back. She took her time lapping up the cool water, enjoying taking the pressure off- even if she had an audience.

Finishing, she gently lifted her head up again and walked around the small pool, still limping slightly. With her head high, she looked as if she were ready to walk right past Gharadi if he did not say anything- and that was her plan for the moment. He just happened to be in the direction she was going to go off into.

Gharadi said nothing but watched her, though something about having someone close enough in proximity to himself was calming, he did hate being alone, he wondered if this female liked being alone or perhaps someone was with her not too far away.

She was leaving?

"Don't go," he said plainly, then reassured himself to speak again, "I mean, your foot, you should rest it a while, don't you think miss?" he was only trying to be polite, and be within company, perhaps she wanted the same thing, though he wasn't sure.

Amadet's steps came to a stop when Gharadi suddenly spoke up, telling her not to go. She didn't seem to react beyond this, though she looked directly at him with her bright eyes. Her expression was blank, and while he took a moment to reassure himself and speak up again, she looked at him and wondered why he was stopping her. Perhaps he was more social than she was, it'd been quite awhile since she'd stopped and had a conversation. When he mentioned her foot, she turned and looked back at it. Her plan had been to just walk it off.

"It's nothing," she said finally, looking back, "I just twisted it a little."

She paused, looking at him almost curiously.

"Why do you care?"

"Even if its nothing, its better to rest it then constant pressure, or it could could worse," he said with a nod, she seemed older, didn't she know constant pressure would be bad for her ankle, even if it is only slightly twisted or sore. Why did she seemed so..blank, and ask why he cared, weren't others polite to her as well?

"Why I care? Because its unsafe, not that you can't handle yourself of course," he didn't want to seem rude!

Amadet didn't seem to react much to Gharadi's advice about staying on her foot, she couldn't look like an inexperienced youth (though the idea made her smile inwardly). She'd know how much was too much, and resting in the company of a stranger would have been even more welcoming to conversation. Apparently, judging by the lion's answer, he was all-around friendly and generally caring. It'd been a long, long time since anyone seemed to care about Amadet's well-being, it was odd to find it in a stranger.

"Who are you?" she asked finally, demanding an introduction from him before she would introduce herself.

Gharadi watched her as she seemed to, though he wasn't sure, internally contemplate his words to her, had he said something wrong, was she mad, did she already hate him? Flicking his tail absent mindedly he offered her a true and sincere smile, bowed his head to her in respect for a lady, "My name is Gharadi miss," he said bowing his head, letting his orange mane fall into his view.

Once he raised he he gave her a gentle smile.

"Gharadi," she repeated, "So the friendly stranger has a name. I am Amadet, but you can call me miss if you prefer that." As a former princess, however liked she was in comparison to her perfect sister, Amadet would certainly not oppose the respectful name. She finally offered a more true smile at that thought, and did as he suggested by taking a seat.

"Do you live around here?" she asked, not a stranger to the area herself and finding it odd that someone might live so close without her having realized it sooner.

Gharadi gave a smile when she had called hi friendly, "Then miss Amadet it shall be," he said raising his paw and tapping it on the ground near him, though not too near him either, he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable with getting too close to a complete stranger.

He shok his head at her latter question.

"No, my home is the swamplands but, I'm supposed to be on my 'name search now'," which he wasn't completing at all at the moment, he liked his birth name.

Amadet beamed arrogantly at Gharadi's decision to include her name and the pleasant little title. She didn't move, though, but was surprisingly content to stay right where she was. As Gharadi described where his home was and why he was not there, Amadet couldn't help but snort a bit at the mention of the search- it sounded to her like a sort of pridal tradition, and she wasn't so keen on prides herself.

"Pride lion, are we?" she asked with a light laugh, "What exactly is this name search?"

"Yes, its..hard to explain," he said pausing for a moment, pawing at the ground while trying to find the right words for it, if there were any. "Once you turn adolescent, you are supposed to go on a name search, find a new name with meaning and return home but...I like my name, so I don't really know what to do."

He didn't want to shame his pride, or his family.

He just liked the name his mother had given him.

"That doesn't sound so hard to explain," Amadet pointed out blankly when he finished, it was a rather simple concept- aside from his preference for his current name and not some new name. "Prides are full of silly customs and traditions, at least finding a name is not hard to fake. Some things cannot be changed so easily."

Amadet felt her own pride trouble was far more serious, seeing as she couldn't do much to change how she looked permanently, and erase the memories of a now-scattered pride. However, she still felt she could identify with Gharadi because of this little fact.

"I don't suppose your pride would like you keeping your current name?" she said bitterly, almost rolling her eyes. Of course not, traditions were not pointless but just sometimes.. they didn't work out so well!

"I-I don't think so, I don't know," his ears flattened against his head, eyes at the ground, "I mean, I would go back, go ask but, what if its not okay? What if they get mad and throw me out? I don't want to disrespect my pride, my family, just, I still don't know what to do."

Gharadi then slunk to the ground, laying upon the earth letting the sun warm his pelt, thinking about his pride and what he was supposed to be doing made him quiet, he didn't want to talk that much anymore.

"You can stay longer if you want...but..can we talk about other stuff?" he felt like a cub now, for wanting to change the topic so quickly.
