Young enough to think he knew everything, strong enough to dissobay his mother and foolish enough to leave the saftey of the world he knew behind, he had come out in to the wide world to seek his fortune, or perhaps just to explore, really he was unsure.

The young cheetah was tall and strong, build in a muchmore bulky manner than most other cheetahs, Afiya was strong, certainly he would be able to take on a leopard or even a small lion if needs must. |He had grown up the eldest son of three to a mild mannered female by the name of Colche, she had raised her sons well, braught them up on whimsical stories of the mythical 'three brothers'. He and his brothers (known solely in the coalition as the terrible Trins) had always beleived in these stroies until they grew older, even now though each brother knew in a way that his fate was tied to these stories of old.

As three brothers they were certainly unbeatable, alone they could be defeated but the world had called Afiya from the safe haven of the coalition lands and now he wandered through territories unknown always remembering that home was behind him if he so wished to return to it.

He had hunted only the day before and eaten well from a young antelope which had sat just a little too long in it's form, so content, he was striding onwards with a gentle wolf like lope, his tail held in a jaunty manner behind him, loooking all the world like the cat that got the cream and ate it all. A young buck out on his worldly adventures.

Nuhusi had never been too fond of the daylight hours. She had nothing against the sun spirit, of course, but she was much more suited to being awake at night with the moon and stars. So now she lay among the tall grasses, resting. She wasn't asleep, however, since her children had decided to wander off for bit. She wasn't a strict parent-quite the opposite, since she only chose to be responsible when it suited her. But she was never far from them. That was, perhaps, the instict over motherhood shining through.

She yawned as she lay against the warm earth, her belly pressed low to the ground. She found it was hard to see what was going on around her, with the grass being so tall and thick. But she neither worried nor feared. It was not her nature to.

It wasn't unusual for the large male cheetah to walk around in full view so it was quite unusual that he came through the grass and nearly stood upon the dark leopardess lounging amongst the fronds. He paused for a moment, sheocked perhaps that he should find someone lying in the long grass. He quickly shook his head though the lopng fur on his neck lifting on end, he was still after all, quite a young male and despite his size he still posessed a little of the baby fur which he was born with along the nape of his neck. "Greetings." He cleared his throat as he said this trying to regain the none challant posture he had posessed moments before as he had wandered through the grasses with his head high and his stride cocky.

His long slender tail lashed behind him as he calculated the odds of him turning and running or standing and fighting if necessary. Not all larger cats appreciated the presence of a cheetah. His mother always stated that lions killed her own mother, his grandmother, had only escaped by the luck of her being hidden amongst a trees roots. Still, he was big enough to handle a leopard, he thought, if it was made necessary to do so. Standing his ground ridgidly the young golden eyed cheetah surveyed the dark leopardess wearily. What was going to happen was anyones guess.

Nuhusi was a lover, not a fighter. She was almost careless in her nature, rarely taking caution around others. It just wasn't her style. She took life in stride and had a way of seeking out the more...enteraining moments of life. If it was interesting she was all for it, for the most part. She did have her spiritual beliefs.

But that didn't hinder her now. She peeked a firey eye at the stranger, a look of pleasant amusement on her face. Well look at this! She had never seen such a muscular cheetah before. And she had seen many a cheetah in her lifetime. Her whiskers lifted with her smile and she pulled herself a little more upright in a lazy fashion, "Hello there."

Rolling his shoulders Afiya raised a brow at the dark leopard before relaxing a touch. He wasn't about to relx completely, people could be sneaky if they needed to be, he was weary but tried to purvey his relaxed air to the yellow eyed femme. "Sorry, nearlly stood on ya there, didn't even see ya." He grins almost sheepishly though the mucles in his shoulders still stood ridgid and firm, he was ready to fight or botlt, he knew not to relax until he was one hundred percet sure he wasn't going to be attacked.

"You're kinda hard to see in the grass yanno.." He managed, feeling rather foolish for blabbing out such an obvious statement, that was why she was a predator, that was why he was a predator too, they were hard to see in the grass.

"Ahh, but you saw me anyway, did you not? That's all that matters," she said, her voice a low, silky alto. She remained relaxed, almost as if she could lay back down and sleep again. But she was far more interested in this stranger...with a twinkle in her eye she chuckled and said teasingly, "You should try spotting me when the sun's gone. Then I'm truly hard to find."

A grin spread on his pale maw then and he gave a chuckle. "I doubt lady I would want to meet you on a dark night, I don't fancy my odds in the dark." He gave a roguish win and sat slowly, his tail lashing about amongst the grass making the stalks wave and flick behind him.

"Tha names Afiya, and you dark lady? do you have a name or are you simply hard to spot in the grass or infact on a darknight?" A slight smirk rose on his maw then and a glimmer came to those golden eyes. he was forever the cocky jokester, when he could get away with it.

"All things have names, Afiya," Nuhusi murmured with an amused sort of purr. Though part of her believes stated that only the spirts knew the true name of something or someone...they were given earthly names only to make communication and identification among mortals easier. "And what would you do with my name, hmmm?" she teased, though as she leaned back she said graciously, "I am called Nuhusi."

A slight flash of a smirk again then and his golden eyeds looked over the dark female. "I'd probably remember it for a start." He chuckled tipping his head slightly. Listening to her name roll off her tongue he let it sink in for a moment before repeating. "Yes you look like a Nuhusi" he beamed, stretching his shoulders slightly.

"Do you always sit out here alone for male cheetahs to stand on you or are you just passing through?" He had used this line of querstioning many times when travelling, invading others territories could be dangerous.

"Oh, no no," Nuhusi said with a clever, silky smile, "Any male will do, really." It was a jest, though it had some truth to it. She wasn't against having a good time with someone...she saught out the most enjoyable things in life. And having company was simply one of many possibilities. She shifted slightly, turning her head around slightly to look at him sideways instead of head on. She stated on a more serious note...as serious as the dark female could get, "I suppose you could call it passing through...I don't live anywhere, specifically."

A smirk rose on his lips and his long tail flickered, a small chuckle echoed over his lips and those honey glazed eyes glimmered. "A lady of leasure then?" He gave a cheeky puurr rolling his thick set shoulders.

The golden cheetah physically relaxed as she spoke of travelling and he smiled lightly. Good, he wasn't intrueding, better to pass through an unclaimed place than through a place where danger roamed in the face of an owner.

"You could call it that, yes," she agreed with a teasing glance. She stretched her long, dark frame before leaning on her side, hind legs laid out gently with her tail. He worried about territory, but she did not. Her beliefs did not go along with individuals claiming land. Besides...it was much more fun that way. Raising a thin brown she asked, "What about you?"

"Just a traveling rogue out to seek his fortunes int he world." he quipped his honey glazed eyes glimmering and a grin constantly present on his pale maw. "I live a good distance from here but paws get itchy and te world needs to be seen, or at leasta portion of it." he puurrs, he did so enjoy his jaunts out in to the world.
