Night has fallen in the bustling metropolis of Vyn City. It was not an unusual night. The City was lit up with big, flashing neon signs in various colors, as it was every night. Taxis were taking their night passengers to bars or hangouts or Longway musicals, or home from these types of affairs to their appartments. The moon was out,and as always, the stars were nearly invisible due to light poisoning. A large number of people still walked the sidewalks or rode the subways, going about their nightly business. A rather large horde of zombies was congergating in Central Park... you know, all normal things that happen in every city during the nighttime.
Wait... Zombies? That isn't normal!
It turns out that a cult of people who were formerly considered as simply "odd" were now leading a horde of undead minions to take out revenge against society. The society that put them down and tore them up and cast them out. The society that was driven by corrupt beaurocrats and incompetent government officials... you know, kind of like our own government.
These people, who generally wore dark clothing, sometimes had odd piercings, sometimes wore their hair in interestingly colored or shaped fashions, had found some source of ancient magic: the magic to control the dead. Now they have raided the graveyards, raising the corpses that lay therein to do their bidding.
The police are in a frenzy to try to control the zombie horde and the Necromancers. Government officials have been called in from all over the state, and the capital. CBI agents and FIA agents alike have responded to the scene. Not only that, but vigilante citizens have taken up zombie-slaying as their latest hobby.
You are one of these people, fighting for your life, for your city, for your family, or just for the sake of fighting. Or, maybe you are one of them... the Necromancers, that is. Choose your side, choose your weapons, and join the fray!

1) Please PM all profiles to me. DO NOT post profiles in this thread.
2) No godmodding or autohitting.
3) In respect to zombies; you know if you hit them, you know what they'll do, and you know that your character isn't Jack Bauer and that he has weaknesses and can get killed by the zombies, so be realistic.
3.5) If your character is Jack Bauer, then I won't accept your profile.
4) Romance is allowed, but no Cybering.
5) If you are not literate, get out.
6) Be respectful of everyone in this thread, except illiterate roleplayers. I'd be a hypocrite telling you to respect them.
7) Please put OOC posts in parenthesis or brackets
9) I reserve the right to deny access or to kick people from this RP.

Character Classes:
CBI or FIA agent: Government agents specializing in the paranormal, hired to investigate and deal with abnormal or supernatural situations such as this one. You have the most advanced weapons and technology to fight your enemy, and you have a liscense to kill. I will only accept a few of these; first come, first served.
Policeman: You are a policeman working for the VCPD (Vyn City Police Department). You have a pistol, a club, a police car, and other police equipment. You can also have a shotgun, but I don't want every police officer to have a shotgun, so don't ask me for one unless you REALLY want it.
Vigilante Citizen: You're an average citizen of Vyn City who has taken up arms to fight zombies. Depending on your background, you have different goals, different mindsets, and different weapons available. These include but are not limited to martial arts, tools of the trade (chainsaws fall under this category, but I don't want everyone to have a chainsaw. I want this to be diverse.), cars or other vehicles, random household items, weapons put together by hand to fight the zombies, or guns (aquired legally or illegally).
Necromancer: You're depressed, you're hurt, and you hate society. Society has put you down, tread on you and laughed at you. Now is your chance to get back at them. You have raised zombies to fight them and take down your opressors. You haven't thought of what will happen if you succeed or fail, but you'll leave that until you have a clear enough head to think, since anyone who raises zombies has some degree of insanity. You can have any weapon a vigilante citizen could have, though you don't usually have guns, and you could have a scythe as well. You might dress normal, or you might wear a black hooded cloak and a mask and pretend to be the grim reaper, whether it is to scare people or because you actually think you are the grim reaper. You could also be dressed in other various dark or otherwise unusual ways. Use your imagination.

Zombies:
Since these will be the main enemies you fight throught the roleplay, I thought I should describe them. They're mindless, animated corpses, controlled by the Necromancers. They don't care who you are, even if you were related to them while you were alive. They don't care if you're rich or poor, or about any of your attributes. They just have a random, senseless hunger for brains and flesh, and a desire to kill. You can cut their head off and they'll keep lurching at you. You can cut their arms off and they'll keep coming at you. You can saw them in half, and their top half will drag its way towards you. Some are unique: flesh golems, or zombies that got kinda mixed up and fused together into abominations that come at you. Some have weapons that they've found in random alleys or shops they've pillaged.
Just, don't think you can take them out very easily. Also, they're not all the same. Be creative with the adversaries you create for yourself. Abominations from Warcraft, the Zombie Warchief from Magic, any zombie from Resident Evil 4, or anything else... spice it all up a bit with some random more powerful zombies so you can be more creative with your methods to kill them.
The only PC's you'll be fighting with are Necromancers, unless you're a Necromancer, in which case you'll be fighting everyone else. You all know how to do a PC vs PC battle. Use you're better judgement and have fun with it.
I'll be playing as the random important people who give you your missions if you're a Necromancer, Policeman, or government agent. If you're a citizen, you're on your own.

Weapons:
Advanced Zombie-Killing Guns (CBI and FIA only):
These are advanced guns made specifically for killing zombies, outfitted with expensive and powerful technologies. Be creative with them, for they're your own personalized weapons. Just don't make them totally overpowered.
Guns:
These are normals guns. They can be pistols, rifles, shotguns, Tommy guns, you name it, just no rocket launchers or military weapons. Those would be classified as Advanced Zombie-Killing Guns. These guns are the kind you find in a gun store or you aquire illegally from gangsters, or whatever.
Martial Arts:
These are things you know how to do with your hands and feet from taking classes. Includes Karate and the like, as well as boxing or whatnot.
Tools of the Trade:
You can use tools from your job to kill zombies. Examples include chainsaws, hammers, knives, briefcases, whatever you can think of. Your character has a job, and you know what you get with that job.
Random Household Items:
Things you can find around the house to use as weapons, like the birthday bowling pin you have in your room from your 10th birthday at the local bowling alley, or a kitchen knife, or a guitar (part of me will die inside if you fight the zombies with a guitar), or any other sort of item you'd find at your house.
Scythes (Necromancer Only):
Scythes are awesome. Most of you know what they are, and for those who don't, it's the weapon that the grim reaper has: the long pole with a curved blade on the end. I don't need to explain them.
Cars:
I'm guessing most of your characters own a car, so why not use it to run over some zombies? Note: if hit a large number at a time, your car will get stuck and then the horde will surround you and you'll need to either fight your way out of your car, or climb out through the sunroof and THEN fight your way out of the horde.

The City:
This is a city like New York. There is a park where the zombies are attacking from, any graveyards are also zombie hotspots, and the zombies are spreading from the center. Still, there are many parts of the city that are untouched and where you can hang out. There are malls, cafes, appartments, office buildings, museums... you name it, that aren't in the area under attack. Longway is not under attack at the moment, though I might cause them to flood into Longway at some point (Longway is Broadway, in case you haven't figured this out).
If you want to have romance, don't do it in front of the zombies. They might get ideas or just eat your brains as you're making out or whatever.
Be realistic. If you really were your character, where would you be when this occurs? Are you hanging out with yout fiance in a luxurious restaurant, dining until late at night? Are you going home from work on the subway, finding the zombies coming down the steps into the underground when you exit the vehicle? Are you a musician who plays on the streets when suddenly there are people listening to you who are less friendly than usually, and smell much worse? Are you a late night taxi driver, driving someone to somewhere when you encounter the zombies? Your job will be in your profile, so make sure you know how to play your job.
Don't just do jobs with access to weapons, like carpenters or gardeners or the like. You can be other jobs too, like a lawyer. You could hit zombies with a briefcase if you were a lawyer and it would be fun.
