Family: Rene's father Marcus is a wizard working in the Department of International Magical Cooperation at the Ministry. Marcus' wife Isabelle is a witch, who works part-time at Madame Malkin's in Diagon Alley. Rene's mother Emeraude is a Wood Elf. She and Marcus met while he was on a business trip in France, and she was sent to represent her people's interests. They had an affair, and Rene was the result. He has a younger half-sibling named Gwendolyn, who is 5 years younger and goes by Gwen. His parents are currently contemplating having another child, as Isabelle doesn't know what she'll do with herself once Gwen starts school.
A Bit About Him/Her: Rene is taller than average for his age, and is of a slender build. He has two piercings in his left ear; a silver loop hangs from his earlobe and a small silver stud is positioned a little higher, on the cartilage. His ears are pointed, so even when not in classes, he prefers to wear a hat. He's not ashamed of being part Elf, but doesn't like all the attention he would get otherwise. His short hair is cut in an uneven fashion, often causing his bangs to get in his eyes and is a shade of black that looks almost blue in the light.
Rene is an avid reader, and often can be found in the library, browsing through books on everything from Dragons: An Owner's Guide to A History of the Dark Arts to A Study of Modern Muggle Technology. He is also very clever, so it's no surprise that he's a Ravenclaw. However, he hates doing homework and refuses to write essays on any subject. Rene is also a wonderful flier but not much interested in sports, although he did play as a fill-in at one match during his third year while their Keeper was in the Hospital Wing recovering from a particularly nasty blow to the head. His specialty is protective spells such as the Shield Charm, and he was born on the 30th of June.
Rene's likes include helping younger students, quiet evenings in the Common Room by the fire, Arithmancy and Ancient Runes classes, and Sugar Quills. He dislikes being told what to do, and will occasionally do the opposite just to be contrary. Professor Avery-York somehow never fails to get on his nerves, and he feels compelled to step in whenever he sees bullying or fighting.
A Moment By Himself/Herself: Rene Vidal Angelo strode down the corridor on his way to Arithmancy, weaving through the crowd almost effortlessly as he turned a page of the interesting Muggle mystery novel he currently had his nose buried in. Halting for a moment as a large crowd swept past him at an intersection of corridors on the third floor, he noticed a lost looking Hufflepuff glancing nervously up and down the hallway. He sighed, his breath catching his uneven bangs and blowing them up out of his eyes briefly as he made note of the page he was on. Rene then closed his book, tucked it into his bag and strode over to the young boy, a smile on his face. "Are you new? You look a little lost," he commented as he approached the much shorter kid, his cerulean eyes alight with warmth and just a tad of amusement.

Another very good profile. And yay, another half-elf ^^. Skada will be pleased, she will. I don't see any problems with this profile other than the teacher's name. Because as you see, there is no professor Ablar. There is however a Professor Owen Avery-York, that teaches Defense against the Dark Arts and is the head of the Hufflepuff House. I'll asume it was him who you meant. I'm leaving your post as it is so you can see what I mean, feel free to change the name when you see it. Other than that, Welcome to Hogwarts!
