The smallest group and the one group that was actually standing up against the others for the company. Somehow this didn't seem to be boding too well... As the group arrived, Palas peered down at them. "Do you come to defend the company with us? Our companions are wrong and wish to fight those who have helped us so we must protect the humans."

Ellie looked up at Palas for a moment before looking around the room, "From the sounds of it I am guessing you don't think there is any reasoning with them now?" She asked of the large gold, he said they were going to defend the humans. Did that mean that there wasn't much stock being held in the others being able to talk sense into the chromactic flights? That didn't bode to well for the others did it? They were so tiny compared to dragons, like ants standing against humans... at least her boy was with her. She felt a lot better having Valens at her side and near to those that were the strongest, those that weren't the aggressors but instead the stalwart defenders. He had a better chance then at surviving were a fight to actually break out between the massive dragon elders.
Valens clip clopped over to stand next to Ellie, looking around with large, dark eyes before he looked up at the dragons, "I... think I'm missing something here? Why... I mean why do they stop them?" He asked, curiously, "Surely you should be able to come and go as you want, it can't be any fun being forced to stay here." He knew that the times he'd gotten grounded weren't fun at all, to be stuck in his room without being able to go out and about as he pleased, the inability to stretch ones legs was annoying especially for one that loved to run.
The young Silver gave her boy a look then gave a dragon's version of a sigh, wanting to n** him. He shouldn't be questioning the ones that wanted to defend him and others! They were right, there was no reasoning with those like the blacks and the reds, to violent! They were nothing like the metallic flights... Nothing good about them! She'd not met any herself but it was sort of a bred in dislike of them something she would have to deal with were she to ever run across a young chromactic while out with her boy.

Nibal sighed with relief as his father didn't send him to join the group around Auloll. That dragon spelled bad news. Instead, he peered up at the large form of Palas. "Yeah! Why can't you leave if you want to? That doesn't really make much sense..."
Kalseru peered up at the older gold dragon. "You don't want to talk with them because you know they're right, don't you? You'd rather fight them, who represent your true feelings, than admit that you agree with them, deep down."

Palas stared down at the two young dragons for a long moment. Relieved, he happily swapped to English to speak to the two children instead of their assigned dragons. "We were offered protection from those who hunt us and wish to harm us and our families. In return for that protection, as well as shelter and food, we agreed to hand over our offspring, who would be given this protection as well, and teach our knowledge to the humans. For a long time, no one wanted to leave. Why leave when we were given everything we wanted here and were safe from any harm? It was only when Chinine and Adil produced an offspring that some started to think about leaving. But those thoughts were soon abandoned and we all agreed to produce full-blooded offspring, no matter what our true feelings might be."
The gold sighed and settled his large form down for a few moments as it seemed that the fight might be delayed because of these kids. "But then, Auloll was the next one to lay a hybrid egg. And, well, Auloll doesn't take scolding very well..."

The horse listened closely then seemed to be mulling that one over. So they had a good reason to be here, to keep themselves and their children safe from those that wanted to hurt them. They had good reason to stay here but it was babies that were making everyone upset? He tilted his head to the side, "Umm... so what is wrong with hyrbid babies?" He asked ears turning forward, "And why would Aullol have one if she knew she wasn't supposed too?"
Ellie looked over at him for a moment then shook her head, "What happened with the hyrbid babies?" She asked, curiously. If they weren't wanted did they get rid of them? Surely they wouldn't destroy a child for the acts of the parents?

Nibal giggled for a moment. "My dad says the hybrids may him do more prep work for the classes..." The boy grew serious again and peered up at the large dragons, wondering how they'd answer the other boy's question.

Palas gave a sort of draconic shrug. "We were told we were to provide full-blooded offspring. I suppose it's got something to do with pairing you with your dragons... but I'm not sure. I know that they don't like it and have asked before that we not do it." The gold smiled at the frog boy's statement, then peered at Ellie for a moment. "The hybrids remain with their bonded child, from what I know. After all, the bond has already begun."

Thinking wasn't exactly Valens's forteit, he was better with the physical stuff so all of the thinking was starting to hurt his head... He crossed his arms over his chest, hoof tappng against the floor. He couldn't help but grin a bit at what the frog boy had said, sure it wasn't the real reason for why hybrids weren't allowed but it was an amusing idea.
He looked over at Ellie then back to Palas, "It must be hard not being able to be able to make babies with the ones that you want too." He said to the dragon, making pure breeds meant that a gold would have to be with gold and silver with silver and so on, that meant personal feelings would be compromised, "You guys must be really strong to be able to deal with that rule. Not only that but defend those that made it."
Valens reached a hand out to lay it on Ellie's neck gently, stroking the soft scales.
"Is there a chance of the black being calmed?" The little silver asked of Palas, tail swishing, "And if not her what of those that rally behind her? Surely she would need to calm before they will since her words are what urge them on...?" She sounded a little worried, Aullol seemed like a strong leader and had a lot of charisma if she were able to sway others with words.

Palas gave a sort of shrug. "We were told not to and considering that we agreed to it in the first place and that the techs have upheld their end of the bargain, we have no right to break our end." The gold glanced over towards Auloll for a long moment. "I tried to calm her, but that got nowhere. Auloll won't listen to anyone who opposes her opinion. As for those who follow her, they may listen for lots of times those types only follow the best speaker."

Valens ears flicked back and forth as the Gold spoke and then he nodded and clapped his hands together, "Well then that is what we have to do!" He said, nodding his head, "We need to get the attention of the others that are wanting to leave with her. I mean she wouldn't go storming out all alone she would just look silly then." It would look more dramatic if she were able to stomp out of the place and bring a bunch of others with her.
"Surely if they are reminded of why they are here and what they get out of the deal they will change their minds." Valens sounded quite sure.
Ellie looked at him, tail tapping against the floor. She wasn't so sure but she didn't want to burst Valens's bubble... he seemed so sure of himself and this course of action. She reached up to catch hold of his shirt when he turned suddenly and took a couple steps ahead as if he were nominating himself for the postion of speaker. That she couldn't allow given he didn't often think hard before acting.

Palas eyed the eager child for a long moment. "I don't know... She's got them in a blood frenzy now. They may not listen to us. Though I suppose we should keep trying for even if we only get a few to listen, it's more than what we have now..."

Valens nodded his head, "Yeah! Maybe like..." What was the term for it, "Word of mouth? Get one or two to listen to us and then other listen to them. Gotta at least try."
They couldn't do nothing when others were doing stuff, he wasn't exactly sure what they were doing though since it just looked like a big fight to him but... it was something.
"I bet there is someone who will listen if we just try! I'm ready to help anyway I can."
Ellie liked that her boy was being helpful but at the same time a bit apprehensive, the fight was getting out of hand and she didn't want her child caught up in it. He was a good boy but a bit naieve... she doubted he could even begin to comprehend the danger around them. She would have to do her part as well then, "I will do my best to talk with them as well." She said to Palas, not about to let Valens go trotting off on his own.

Nibal had been distracted by a rather loud scream and glanced over, his jaw dropping. That black had just bitten some kid's arm off! The frog boy glanced over at Kal, who was eyeing Auloll in a wary manner.
Palas glanced over as well, then stormed off in the direction of Auloll. "That's going too far, Auloll!" He shouted, though whether she heard him or not, he had no idea.

Valens watched the Gold as he charged off in the direction of the angry black and the battle going on. He took a hesitant step forward before he charged along after him. They were supposed to be helping him right? The horse wasn't exactly sure what it was that he was going to do when he arrived but he thought he had to do something... he didn't get far though...
Ellie's eyes went wide, watching in complete horror as the other boy had an arm taken from him. She gave a shake of her head before she rushed forward and gave a great leap, tackling Valens and sat on him, "NO! I will NOT let you near that monster!" She snapped at Valens, she had already decided that he was getting no where even if she had to sit on him all day!
Valens kicked and flailed, trying to get free of his Silver but she was heavier then he was and had the advantage of postion as well... he was stuck...
