Powers: Elnara was born a shapeshifter, firecaster, and healer.
Appearance: Elnara is tall for a Gaian (which she is not) and short for her race. Her raven black hair goes down to her waist and is thin and straight. Her skin is dusky, light for her race but dark compared to most Gaians. She is very thin, so thin that most people would call her unhealthy. She has a tattoo of her family crest on her upper right arm, but few people know about it: she keeps it hidden as a mark of shame. Likewise, she is covered from the neck down in scars, which she also keeps covered with her clothes except for a particularly large scar that runs down her left palm and up her middle finger. She always goes barefoot, and can be found wearing either pants and tunic, or skirt and blouse. Calluses on her hands are tell-tale signs of weapon use.
History: Elanra was born crown princess of the Kingdom of the Southland Elves on the continent of the Four Lands in the world of Arda, the eldest child and only girl of nine children. At thirteen, her mother disappeared; at fourteen her father was murdered and she and her brothers moved to Tor Karad to live with their grandmother, the queen. Elnara left after only a few months to find her mother. During her travels, she was raped by a group of five men, and her mind began to crumble. Five years later she found herself somehow transported to the world of Gaia, where she met a neko, Triton, whose angelic brother, Yukito, restored her mind to its proper state. After a few months there, she was able to return home, where it was discovered that she was a shapeshifter. She was forced to leave and returned to Gaia, where she was adopted by Triton and Yukito’s mother, Kara. She adopted a child, Celebor, had a failed relationship with an elf, adopted five more children, and is now in a working relationship with Lore, an elf from the northern forests of Gaia. She has also been offered a part-time job as an assistant healer at the school that her adoptive family runs.

Personality: Celebor is innocent and curious, but impatient for things that are important to him. He’s very defensive of his mother, and hates to be away from her for more than a few hours.
Powers: Celebor has learned a spell that allows him to breathe underwater.
Appearance: Celebor is very skinny, even scrawny, and has Caucasian skin and pointed ears. His hair, a soft shade of brown, goes down to his shoulders, and the top part of it is always pulled back in an Elvish-style braid. His eyes, a bright bluey-green, take up most of his face, making him appear cute. He usually wears an Elvish-style tunic, pants, and cloak, and he has three weapons belts, though he is as of yet too young to carry any weapons of his own.
History: Elnara took Celebor’s vase home on the Gaian New Year’s Eve, and two weeks later he popped out – Surprise! He first met his Uncle Ryu and Aunt Feng, mer Seconds, and found that he shared a love of water with them. He went home with his Mommy later that day. He lives between the inn and café. He was traumatized by his mother’s first boyfriend, Sasku, though he’s better now. He now has five younger siblings and his mother has a new boyfriend – nearly fiancé. But though Celebor loves Lore to bits, he’s having some trust issues because of his previous experiences.

Personality: Serenity is incredibly shy, so much that it’s difficult for her to meet new people. However, once she gets to know someone she opens up and becomes quite friendly and lovable. She blushes often, and loves nothing more than a good bit of art. She’s also fairly inquisitive, but she keeps her questions to a minimum unless she’s very comfortable asking the question.
Powers: Serenity is in the process of mastering a spell to bring her drawings to life off the page. At the moment, she can only animate them on the page.
Appearance: Serenity is thin and young but looks like a physically mature teenage girl. She’s the tallest of all her siblings, and her long brown hair accentuates this. Her large eyes are a gray-green, and her cheeks are nearly always a light shade of red. She has a kind smile that can be rare. She usually wears a black sleeveless shirt overtop of a long white t-shirt, black flared pants, and shiny black shoes. She can usually be found carrying a portfolio stuffed almost so full that it doesn’t close with her drawings and paintings.
History: Serenity is the third of six children: though she was born the same day as her sister, Skye, Skye’s vase had been created first. The first person she met (besides family) was Lore, who captured her trust from the first moment she laid eyes on him. This was fortunate, as he ended up courting her mother. After she grew to Child stage, she began to attend her grandmother’s school for fighting and magic (under the mage classification). There, she was traumatized by an encounter with a Naga, Shi, who seemed to make it his mission in life to try to bully humans (or bipeds in general).

Personality: Skye is outgoing and always wanting to learn. Though people tend to let her off easy when she mispronounces words, she forces them to repeat for her until she can say it correctly. She takes offence when people ignore her or don’t repeat words for her when she doesn’t understand them, but her trust is easily bestowed and rebestowed. She’s very cheerful and doesn’t think anything of her deafness, though many pity her.
Powers: Skye has no magical powers of her own, but she is learning to fly and seems to have an amazing sense of feel.
Appearance: Skye is short and thin, and very graceful. She has golden hair that goes to her waist, bright blue eyes, pale skin, and dark blue wings. She usually wears a dark blue blouse and skirt, along with golden wraparound sandals that match her hair. Despite her deafness, she is almost always smiling cheerfully.
History: When Elnara brought Skye’s vase home, it was already in the reaction stage. She had been previously adopted, but abandoned. Skye was born deaf, but her sense of feel more than makes up for it, and when she is facing people it is sometimes hard to tell that she is deaf. She spent most of her surprisehood with her sister, Serenity, who always helped her out; now that Serenity is off to school, Skye goes with Lore, her future father, to the library where he is head librarian, and there he teaches her personally.

Personality: Storm likes to use his magic, and he does so even when he’s forbidden. He’s hurt himself several times from it, but he is quite stubborn and at times even openly rebellious. He’s not very fond of being told what to do. A sure way to calm him down, however, is to stroke his wings (or groom them, as his neko friend likes to do).
Powers: Storm and Starr were born with the ability to see the “threads of nature”. They have the ability to manipulate threads that control plants (earth), air, fire, and water: unfortunately, they don’t know what they’re doing most of the time and end up creating disasters or hurting themselves. Sadly, it’s difficult to help them because no one else can see these threads.
Appearance: Storm has short, messy white hair and milky eyes. His skin is dusky, like his mother’s, and his wings are black as night. As a surprise stage Second, he is shorter than average. He usually wears a red turtleneck sweater and neat black pants. Like most of his family, however, he goes barefoot. Usually smiling, his grin is always cheeky and smug.
History: Storm and Starr were adopted together and born together, just as twins should be. They share a room and sometimes, it seems, a mind. They do everything together, speak each other’s minds, and even finish each other’s sentences. So far they haven’t done much, though they did make a week-long visit to the Borderlands, a part of the Four Lands, to visit some of their mother’s friends.

Personality: Idhril can be anything: quiet and shy, quiet and thoughtful, quiet and observant; or the opposite: hyper and open, inquisitive, or bouncy.
Powers: Idhril has no powers – yet. Well, unless you count the power of observation.
Appearance: Idhril, though the youngest Second in the family, is taller than her two angelic twin siblings – and by quite a bit. Her skin is the same tone as theirs, but her hair is jet black and is so long that it trails on the ground. Her eyes are so gold that they seem to glow. She wears a silver circlet with sapphire gems, and she wears a very fancy dress that is royal purple with gold trim. Like most of her family, she goes barefoot.
History: Idhril is the only one in her family (besides her mother) to be born in her mother’s world, when they happened to be there for a visit. Her earliest education is from the week they spend there, though she has learned much more since their return to Gaia. She loves her mother, adores her father, and likes to spend as much time as she can with them. She was born speaking two languages.
